1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] MemoryCoin 2.0 (MMC) - Emergency Fork - Block 607 - 0.8.54 on: December 19, 2013, 06:52:13 AM
That's it, I'm not going to smell this coin again. It stinks badly! Not that it all started poorly with all the premined coins, 6% of mined coins going to developers, software crashing, blockchain not syncing correctly, had fubar difficulty targeting,... Well, now it's official that (most likely) one of existent protoshares pools started mining, if not one of developers. I wouldn't be surprised if they (PTS pools and developers) are tightly connected.

mining is worthless for this coin  should be called blackhole eats time and energy this coin swings so wildly that it melted down a brand new rig highest system recorded temp was 256 degrees c.... wish mod would have built a better more stable coin 10hpm  nothing over the course of 24 hours but a burned up rig....

Lol these massive hash jumps are making noob mining impossible because all these guys buying these asic machines. They are buying USED EQUIPMENT on top of that lol....  Their pre ordered machine is plugged in right now mining for the guys who built them......pre order= you paid for the design and manufacture. once its built of course were going to have to test it till we reap 20x its worth then we will ship it. You get it mine for a bit and then its obsolete within 5 months so you gotta buy a new one.... repeat cycle.... anyone not invested into the th range already will never see a ROI period.... mine alt coins trade up to btc do not even attempt to mine btc your wasting valuable time because when these guys decide its time to stop skimming off the purchasers and release them and move on to the next massive miners to repeat this cycle. the only people mining bit coins will be the asic family of 600gh + move to alt coins now while you still have a decent chance.. i would love to see a coin made that cant be farmed CPU ONLY and antibot net. sorry but you missed this boat about 2 years ago.

i was cpu minig with poolers program and i stumbled across a modified version called bulldozer its cgminerbased  doubled the cpu hashrate i was getting on the cpu mining can i use this with another coin or is it confined to only quark? the page i found it on is this one http://quark.freeforums.net/thread/487/quark-optimized-win64-miners-bulldozer?page=1&scrollTo=4886 it truly doubled my hashrate from 50/60 to 110/115 kh a sec, i guess what im looking for is can i use this cpu miner on other coins that have cpu mining enabled just by changing conf files or will it only work for quark  i have yet been able to get any script based gpu miner to work... so i am stuck with cpu mining. Sad

i have been reading for the last 2 hours on block eruptors they are pretty much worthless now as well unless you have stacks of the bitfurys you wont get anywhere looks like its only gonna be profitable for the super rich to even get in on the mining game now to be efficient you need to be into the th range and that will only last a good 8 months tops until these mega powerhouses are only pulling in a blocks worth a week.

welp I mined a few coins a while back and stopped since i had a lot going on and forgot about btc  i have an ati radeon 4650 which used to be semi decent but now i guess its almost worthless i average 32.5mhs and use gui miner solo (i know hoping for a block)i want to use a miner that will at least show whats its doing as im not even sure this thing is working right  i have tried others like cgminer but i cannot get it to work as i dont think my video card can even be supported by it? i have subjected myself to now cpu mining quarks at the rate of 20 a day Tongue i have tried every printed up batchfile or cmd prompt that i can find but nothing but guiminer works for my btc solo mining ltc i cant get anything to work for the quarks i am using minerd. I know i don't have good equipment but its what i have and i need to make the best of it for now there is no chance of putting a penny into a miner (rl us economy drama + winter I am a carpenter:P)  but if i can make some kind of income off of this it will help. Trying to pull a good holiday out of my A-- Thanks and have a great day!  Huh

Hello new to this forum but I will say that if it involves anything with bit coin the scamers have been out in full force i mined 3 btc about 2 years ago on my crappy crappy computer then in febuary of this year i responded to an ad off craigslist sold them and the bank cashiers check I got was fraudulent they had been buying cars and getting people to do some scam on sending the shipping money back via western union or something to Nigeria. Its a move I wish I never made it cost me since i cant work they would have come in handy right about now... but don't ever send these things anywhere now without massive amounts of feedback or research and even if they do send your coins back do not let them put anything on the wiki!!!!
