421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 07, 2014, 10:27:23 PM
I'm still trying to figure out why some people had such a low payout from last Saturday, so I made a nice comparison :

As you can see, all miners have more or less the same hashrate. Yet they have a very different payout and remaining balances (for the immature/unechanged balances).

Some observations I made :

1)
It looks like the pool is using the unexchanged balance as a multiplier, i.e. to play with. The only ones having a decent payout or the miners that had a lot of unexchanged carried over from the day before (miners 2, 5 and 6). Note that the actual unexchanged balance remained the same at the end of the day. Don't know what to think of that..

2)
Some miners had part of their unexchanged balance changed to their balance just before the payout whilst others hadn't (miner 1 vs. miner 0). What gives?

3)
Miner 3 is a nice example of a miner that basically started the day with a clean slate. Yet it got a better deal than miner 0, even though its hash rate is lower. Huh?

As you may have guessed, miner 0 is me.. I changed from EU to US about halfway through Saturday as was recommended by the pool operator in this thread at the time.

I really don't understand what was going on last Saturday, but judging from the above comparison it doesn't look right to me.

I am worried that there are bugs in the system that are costing some miners their due payout. Also, if the pool is using the unexchanged balance as monopoly money to increase profits, fine - but why isn't this the same for everyone?

---

I've also tried to relate the graph for the pool as a whole to the individual miners. Somehow I would expect them to be very similar except for the scale :

Yet they do not look similar at all, except for the miners that got a 'regular' payout.

Anyone want to share his/her insights?

Very interesting analysis would be good to hear some expert opinions

Today's payout is looking a hell of a lot better than yesterday.  Should come close to doubling yesterday which is great!

How much of that is due to decrease in unexchanged balance? I have half the unexchanged balance I ended with yesterday, which makes my balance look better.

I still have more then 50% of confirmed in unexchanged - http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/1M9B8YxAXRLzSR3J74kZe8uA18ZCQGZFCh.html

Looking like a good pay day today if that unexchanged makes through.

Anyone else think that h20 is actually tealover?  He is trying to force people to leave the pool and reduce his work load  Tongue

Thanks for the Singapore server week give it a whirl, hopefully better then the others for us in Australia.

Crappy payout tonight for me at .08 BTC with 10Mh/s

Of course, I do have .06 unexchanged so it should be higher...

Looks like the pool is sitting on a bunch of coins...hmm should be good payouts tomorrow and Thursday...

I only got .01573 on 2.3mh/s

Lets hope we are sitting on a bunch of netcoins, those things have gone crazy

So... I've installed my 280x (ASUS R9280X-DC2T-3GD5) yesterday and having a hard time to get more than 575-600 kh/s with it.

Windows 7
Catalyst 13.12
cgminer 3.7.2 with:
"gpu-threads" : "2",
"intensity" : "13",
"worksize" : "256",
"shaders" : "2048",
"thread-concurrency" : "8192"

GPU core clock is 1070mhz
CPU mem clock is 6400mhz
GPU temp is around 74celcius (fan at 55%)

Increasing Intensity gives me hardware errors

what else can be done?

I get 750 kh/s from the same card..(its the middle one in the settings below

 -g 2 -w 256,256,256 -I 13,13,13 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 11200,11200,8192 --temp-overheat 92,92,92 --gpu-engine 1035,1080,1080 --gpu-memclock 1500,1500,1500 --gpu-powertune 20,20,20 --auto-fan

How to run a R9 290 @ 68 °C (154,4 °F) @ ~750 KH/s and working on your PC

What a waste of money, you are spending $500  on a card, then $70 on a cooler to have then run at the same asked and pretty much the same noise and temp as a 280x.

Yes, please send some coins to make me feel better about my stupid fail.

You should be able to get then up to 850 easy enough.

I sold my 290 they are just to dam loud, I did come close to buying after market cooling for it but  figured the total price over a 280x for a extra 100 khs wasn't worth it.

As 280x and a 7850 would cost the same and give you about 1100 kHs

I've had a similar problem for a while now, added an extra 1 at the front of my address when I started Middlecoin, i've not had much luck in getting it fixed.  Correct address is - 1M9B8YxAXRLzSR3J74kZe8uA18ZCQGZFCh, wrong address with balance is 11M9B8YxAXRLzSR3J74kZe8uA18ZCQGZFCh

The posts about ping are interesting, I get between 250 & 300 to the middlecoin severs as I am in Aus.  Would it really be screwing me over?

Don't think so. I have similar pings in AU, and reject rates are incredibly low (http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/15r271ADbvPkCcENraokEzrRgLrmaSpfc8.html)

0.04 for me, I have optus 4g running from a TPlink mr3420 - http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/1M9B8YxAXRLzSR3J74kZe8uA18ZCQGZFCh.html

I guess its not too much of an issues then

Can someone help me out with my miner really quickly?

I just set up a new rig with 2 7970's. I made the config file, and I'm not getting any hardware errors... but I'm not getting any accepted/rejected shares either. It keeps telling me "stratum from pool 0 detected new block", but no accepted/rejected shares. It's also telling me my hashrate is over 900 on each card which is probably too much for 7970's, since the most I see other people get is around 800. Also, my temps are staying in the 30's-40's and MSI Afterburner says my GPU is only being used at 45%... what am I doing wrong?

Post your confirg/bat file settings.

I've got a bit of a problem that I'm not sure what to do about, and I'm hoping someone here might have a suggestion.

Actually it's more my dads problem than mine; when he set up his machine to mine at middlecoin, he accidentally used his litecoin wallet number as his user instead of his bitcoin one. So now he has 0.02286889 BTC stuck because it can't payout to that wallet...

I know it's not that much but he has a slow machine so it's taken him a while to get that, so it would be a shame for it to go to waste.

Any ideas on what I can do to get the balance paid out to his BTC wallet?

Thanks in advance.

Merry Fucking Christmas from Aus.

I still show a balance on a address i entered incorrectly when I first started on the pool, accidentally added an extra 1 one at the start - 11M9B8YxAXRLzSR3J74kZe8uA18ZCQGZFCh, could it please be paid out to my correct address - 1M9B8YxAXRLzSR3J74kZe8uA18ZCQGZFCh

thank you

Cryptsy is a joke, past few hours its been pathetically slow.  Taking hours to refund cancelled orders, if you are lucky enough to get a trade through chances are your balances will read 0 on either side for a few hours.  I am sure this site earns enough money to invest in infrastructure

Picked up one of these today & having a hard time with it so far, its also voltage locked which is a bummer.

Currently I get 550 ish without tweaking, confident I should get it up to the 700's so will post back my config when I do
437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 23, 2013, 03:03:36 AM
Well at least we seem to get paid the same per kh/s, obviously just a bad day at the office
438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 23, 2013, 02:44:25 AM
Well got payment of 0.0330 for a near constant 3.7 mh/s, is that similar to what everyone else received?
439  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 23, 2013, 01:58:00 AM

UPDATE:  I just refreshed middlecoin.com and my hash rate has updated.... while my balances haven't changed at all (even from hours ago).  Or the change has been soooo insignificant I can't even see it?  Whats going on? :S

Yes similar to my suspicions, seems like earnings may either been really bad or the site isn't showing them correctly
440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 23, 2013, 01:28:46 AM
I know we have had some very good days recently, but the jump from the past 24 hours seems massive, i have 0.0306 balance for 3.6 mh/s does see very low, or is that what the pool bring before the recent good times rolled?  My miners have been up pretty much up the whole period as its been switching between servers when they drop.
