But there is no team. Just some guy who's copy&pasting code from other github repositories and who's hoping that it will somehow compile. And of course there's a lot of "re-designing" aka changing css styles in the QT wallet to make it look like there's progress.

well I've been searching a little about Verge and I found out that thei are the dogedark but rebranded and another thing is that it was between 1 and 3 satoshi and now look at the price. I'm not so confident to buy at this price a coin like this even if it has the tech.
Everything is set up for the moon journey, As haejin's analyze it will hit $.80 in coming days. it is up to you , take it or not. trade accordingly you shouldn't regret in the end. Are you sure you are in the right forum and weren't looking to join Scientology or the Ashtar Sheran Command? Have some dignity.

its alot of tech details. read it yet?
otherwise... noone is going to come in here, and tell you to buy it. (well, they are... but i mean ..they wont bother) why would they?
You must decide yourself. buy or not. then if u do buy, do you hold it for x gain... or y gain.
Only you can prevent forest fires.
Unless I'm looking in the wrong places (the main Verge website, github) - I haven't found anything of value. I'll keep looking. As for "buying" XVG, I have put in several BTC worth just because the charts showed a possible pump, and I dumped it right after only to rinse and repeat the cycle. I'm definitely not unhappy with the results - but as a long term investor in crypto, I haven't seen anyone bring up a valid point other than the "it will rise", or even hate that's being thrown around by everyone which I care less about. Oh well, I'll keep at trying to create a sensible dialog with anyone who's interested in facts. The book you are looking for is "When Prophecy Fails: A Social and Psychological Study of a Modern Group That Predicted the Destruction of the World". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/When_Prophecy_Fails

If you think that crypto poker rooms will not live in this world, then you can skip this one also.
That is not really the problem here. This project is not about building the next generation poker room. They know very well about the state of the online poker business and that opening a poker room now is burning money. It's about creating a coin with a halfway reasonable looking product behind it. Tony G and some mid- to c-level managers who used to work in the dying poker business simply want their own altcoin train - for some of them the last chance to get rich before getting too old. Nothing wrong with that. A lot of people from the poker business are doing stuff like that nowadays.

1.2.2. Anonymity Smart contracts will guarantee the token holders’ anonymity and safety. Backed by solid legal opinions worldwide, the poker room will operate with maximally simplified registration process, avoiding redundant user personal data collection. This collides directly with the requirements you have to meet for legally offering your services in the UK, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, .... And what about Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, Germany? And China (read that with Trump's voice) and South Korea? You cannot have anonymous users. Mandatory kyc procedures, up to a point in some countries where your users have to provide bank details within a few days after registering, do not become optional by simply saying "blockchain". In reality they will have to run a few servers with a few databases and file storages and those will hold addresses, real names, telephone numbers, passport copies, deposit and withdrawal histories and what else is required by the issuer of their gambling license(s). My conclusion: The concept makes no sense. What is proposed in the whitepaper is a boring and outdated boilerplate poker room that on top will be regarded as an illegal gambling operation in most parts of the world unless they do not plan to offer their services in most parts of the world. No recreational player will join that. And without a constant supply of recreational money no 2+2 shark will join. Another case of a product that wouldn't survive in the real world but by making it "crypto" it magically turns into something the world is waiting for.

Yes, unfortunately due to regulations US residents can’t participate in ICO. But our legal team works hard to enable US players to play. Chances look great We’ll keep You updated on progress. From the 2+2 thread. Pure gold. Good luck with getting a license that will allow us-american players to play in a non-ringfenced poker room. Or for a start: good luck with getting any license to offer your services in the USA. Shouldn't your advisers tell you about this? You can also ask the Breakout Gaming guys or any other operator how the USA thing works.

However, forecasts show strong growth going forward. It’s expected that, online gaming will grow to USD $50 billion market and poker plays a significant role. This multi-billion-dollar market has been growing at 5-7% percent each year. From the whitepaper. Reality has some issues with these statements. Nobody in the business believes that there will be a "strong growth going forward". The online gaming market is indeed growing but that is due to casino, daily fantasysport, sportsbet and attempts to get a hold in the e-sport market. The poker market is shrinking for years and will continue to do so. Operators are either closing down their poker room or they modify their game offering to turn the classic poker game into a slot machine. You want to make a profit with standard Texas Hold'em cash games and tournaments and random loyalty rewards that are not based on contributed rake... That's your "innovation" for a dying business? Well, you always can make it "crypto" and hope nobody realizes how outdated your business model is.

wip. And I thought 2013 was bad.
Positive news/opinion: #moon #lambo
Negative news/opinion: #fud #establishment Comment with one of the following: "You clearly didn't do your research.", "You obviously missed the train.", "Whales are trying hard to push the price down.", "You clearly have no clue of the technology and its potential."
Price goes sideway: #hodl #establishment Draw a random triangle on the 1 hour chart, an upward moving line that's called resistance and a long arrow pointing upwards from a random point on the resistance line. Go to reddit, bitcointalk, telegram and tell people "why you should hodl (insertcoinname)". Usually because the "tech is great", "the team is great", "big news are coming out soon", the "banksters are scared". Go to reddit, bitcointalk, telegram and tell people "why (insertcoinname) will (choose: replace bitcoin/be the future of crypto/be one million USD in two years). Alternative: phrase it as a question.

Price goes really down: #hodl #longterm Go to reddit, bitcointalk, telegram and tell people that you bought in at a price that's significantly lower than the current price. Also tell them how much you enjoy buying all the cheap coins and how much you believe in the potential of the technology. Post a bitcoin chart of april or december 2013 and tell people that the current drop is perfectly normal for a cryptocurrency.
Coin dieded: Tell people that you bought in months ago or got the coins for free and sold before the dump because you saw it coming. Move on to the next coin.

another motivational post of a desperate bagholder. these evil companies trying to do something useful with bitcoin are getting rich while his bag's value decreases on a weekly basis. that's just not fair. the bag was supposed to sit there and quadrimillionuple in value every 5 seconds.

Every question, every post I've had concerning the IPO/Simcoin updates/anything, have been deleted by NxtChg(the "dev" of simcoin")
He had/has an IPO, took people's money, and never delivered any coins.
Simcoin is a scam, just like Stackcoin was.
