Yes, this is not a secret for a long time.

Moika Pulsed,

I may have something for you, I'm also in Finland and just put together a new rig but unfortunately my apartment cant handle the extra strain so I'm going to get rid of some parts.

Will send you a PM.

Hey man, I followed your video exactly.

If I type in ;;gpg ident <myname> I can see that I am authenticated and logged in but if I go to the weboftrust page I cant find any info on myself.

Is this normal that if nobody has rated me?
Also can you tell me how I create a buy order now as I can see a drop down list of usernames to select from but I'm not there.

Yes that's probably because no one rated you.  You need to place a buy order via gribble on IRC.

;;buy 1 BTC at 20 USD paid with dwolla

Or something like that.

Kudos to you sir!

132  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE!! on: June 07, 2011, 11:34:50 PM

I've not even built anything yet so I'm losing out too but I'm just a hobbyist and if I find my mate or someone selling a 5890 or upgrading I'll say "hey I'll take that off you"

To a student like me who wants to make a little extra spending money and make proper use of the free electricity in my apartment it's great.
Personally I don't buy the idea of people building these big farms of cards and if anything think it's greedy/unsustainable and mirrors all that is wrong in how the current capitalist world operates but that's off point and just my view.

If we all agreed to a bit of stagnation and didn't invest more we'd all be happier...But when is that ever going to happen Undecided Cry
133  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: SOLD OUT EVERYWHERE!! on: June 07, 2011, 10:55:23 PM
Hmmm Am I the only one that thinks this lack of cards is a good thing Huh

I mean if anything if kind of puts a stop block on this hardware arms race that I'd imagine sees most miners profits go back into buying more hardware just to keep up with the rising difficulty.
134  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Will this 4xGPU rig work? v2 on: June 07, 2011, 10:25:43 PM
I'm curious Tunes

Is that the best Motherboard recommendation you got, I came up with the same motherboard suggestion myself after a while as I wasn't getting much replies to my question.
135  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Will this 4xGPU rig work? v2 on: June 07, 2011, 10:17:30 PM
On the MO-BO
Correct me if I'm wrong but to me it looks like you will only for three cards on the board, Two of the pcix16 slots look very close so you may need a riser cable.

Look's like a keeper though
136  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Possibly Quite a Newb Question - Connecting 5870 to PCIe x1 on: June 07, 2011, 06:54:38 PM
Wow, this is all new to me,

I was sure I needed to find a motherboard with 4 pci-e x16 slots to run 4 cards.
So here's a question.

I see most people who are buying new equipment go for motherboards with 4 x16 slots which are usually more expensive.
Am I at a higher risk of burning out the mo-bo if I use the x 8 and x 1 slots in this way as if so a better option for me would be to buy a good second hand motherboard cpu combination like the OP has and modify it to take more cards.
137  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: EU user, Help building rig from overclockers.co.uk on: June 07, 2011, 05:17:48 PM
I've hit a slight bug here.

Each graphics card need's 2 6 pin pci-e connectors while my pssu only has 4 (6+2)-pin PCI-E connectors.

I guess this means I need to find a PSU with 8 connectors if I want to run 4 cards off it ??

Sorry if this seems a stupid question
138  Bitcoin / Mining / EU user, Help building rig from overclockers.co.uk on: June 07, 2011, 02:54:22 PM
I've seen lots of Newegg shopping lists and it's fair to say they are a help but not always so relevant to the Euro market.

This is what I'm thinking of buying to put together my rig and just looking for some comments/suggestions.
I'm shipping them to Finland so if anyone knows any better stores that will ship here feel free to link to products in them
( I think there may be some German stores which do but I've never heard of them I've tried one of the dutch or belgian computer stores but no luck and Finnish stores are more expensive than UK for sure)

Motherboard
This is where I'm not so sure about some things. I understand it needs to have four pci-e slots if I'm to run four graphics cards off it.
What I'm not 100% sure is so they all need to be x16 slots or will a card with 2 x16 and 2 x8 or x1 slots work?

For example will this board work

I'll use a flash drive I have to boot from.

Total ex Motherboard = £496.80 = Euro 552.94

Just a note or two, I realise I've only included 3 GPU's in my list, I'm working with a budget of 700 Euro and would like to build a rig that will allow me to add an extra card easily when I get a bit of cash to do so and I can see the motherboard being at least 150 so if that was the case I would be coming in at just about 700.
