Am I understanding this correctly? You're basically parallelizing the slicing process through the blockchain network?

If you are traveling and lose your credit card, but in a country that has a reasonably active Bitcoin scene, you can sell some BTC to pay bills while "over there".
This may become an issue for us.
Here is a case for having an online wallet, "travels anywhere".
That's an interesting idea! I hadn't considered storing my BTC anywhere but my Trezor. I should keep 0.1 BTC or so available on my phone just for emergencies.

I haven't figured out to do this, so I'll be watching here... great suggestion / question!

It's better if you just use your Watchlist. You can ignore boards by going to Profile -> Ignore Boards Preferences. Thank you very much for that information, I'll give it a try.

I googled SMF instructions to see if there's a way to ignore entire categories, or specific forums. It is impossible to participate in a time-efficient manner because the number of unread posts since last visit seems to grow exponentially. Can anyone explain how to do this? I haven't seen anything in my profile settings to enable this.

I think it's anyone's best guess, but personally I think it will continually to rise, along with some expected volatility. Unlike gold, there is a fixed amount of BTC and as long as it continues to spread in its utility, its value can only go up, I think.

Although I am still very new to crypto, there are several things I look for when I invest in an asset. A whitepaper that outlines the vision, a team to support it, a strong community, and expectations to hit multiple exchanges to enable solid trading. So far, ULT has delivered on all of those things. While I do not know who the team is, I can personally attest to the fact that they are quick to respond to questions and comments on Discord, and they provide very solid service. Being a noob, I had some problems getting my first (and actually also the second) masternode started, and their devs got me squared away immediately. This is huge when you're talking about every minute equating to lost income. Not only that, but there was a glitch in the chain that resulted in "lost" MN rewards. The devs showed excellent goodwill towards the MN owners and offered instructions for resolving the issue, and also reimbursed everyone. The Discord community is active, and the value of the coin has held up well after its initial release. I cannot comment on the mining aspect of the coin and will leave it to others to discuss. I will be diligently reading those posts. I am looking forward to a very successful demo of ULT and am very pleased to be a part of its community.

This sounds awesome. Has anyone published a comparison online to show the difference between running Nicehash on multiple Windows rigs vs $3 per HiveOS instance per month? I'm currently on Windows and am curious to know if HiveOS will increase profitability to cover the cost of the OS. I'm sure the answer is "of course", but numbers would really sell it. Meanwhile, I'll start going through the 34 previous pages of posts!

Regardless of what people think, or whether or not they have the facts about bitcoin, we as a community need to properly educate them. Talk about the reasons for bitcoin's existence and very definite future, and just leave it up to them to make up their own minds. But at least correct the record. Sure, BTC is used for all kinds of illegal stuff, but so is cash.

People seriously need to pick up a book and read it to understand how Bitcoin works, how it's not that difficult to comprehend, and how clear its advantages are. It's up to us to spread the word and have conversations about it with friends and company, so that the uneducated people can see its advantages. Spread the word!

I believe that in order to achieve a really high result, you need to know a lot about bitcoin and constantly improve your knowledge about it.
Or at least understand bitcoin to the point where you can respect it as a viable technology that has a real future, so you are more likely to hodl and ride out the nasty dips.

Well I'm a ULT supporter, but unfortunately cannot participate in this program since I am a Newbie. I am looking forward to the success of this coin!

Project Infinex me of course are interested! Where can I see the white paper? Good luck with the project!
Their whitepaper should be released fairly soon! The draft is available on discord and the community is reviewing it. So far, I am happy with their transparency and with some of the novel features they have added to their blockchain. The network has been running flawlessly since I started mining IFX. No problems with any transactions.
