Hi warmking. Thanks for your message and your proposal. Actually nobody owns the address yet (it's just one of billions of potential addresses). But bter *could* easily own the address by (see first post): 1) exporting the private key from the DGC wallet (dumppriv key __address__) 2) import the private key into the doge wallet (importprivkey __generated_key__) like this: - on DGC wallet:
- walletpassphrase __passphrase__ 120
- dumpprivkey __address__
- on DOGE wallet:
- walletpassphrase __passphrase__ 120
- importprivkey __generated_key__

What actually surprised me more is the speed of withdrawal. Made several BTC withdrawals over the past several days and they appeared each time quickly in the blockchain. Quite a change compared to when I first started using them end-December.

You should probably meditate on these statements for a while. Think about what they mean, not what you'd like them to mean. I can readily see that your "Hero" status is not only due to your post count but also to a good dose of wisdom. I have indeed meditated upon this again and I am quite reconciled with the idea that I am the sole actor and responsible for my negligence and my losses. However, on a more wordly and pragmatic level (and I would never ask you to stoop down so low), I'm am still vain enough as to expect some kind of support from a platform on which I have traded abundantly and, thereby, for which I have generated significant profit. I acknowledge that this can be viewed as a vain expectation, stemming for naiveness or even, for some, stupidity. But, awaiting some higher form of wisdom (of the kind you seem imbued with) in the same way as I am reconciled with the idea that I have lost 1.5M doge, I am ready to lose much more just to get BTER to acknowledge my claim. I'm letting the matter rest for the Chinese New Year, but they'll hear from me again after that. |

Bter won't touch it until a technician has time to fix it for you.
Just send an email and contact with the English customer representative on skype and leave all your username, the coin address.
It won't be solve soon since all the technicians are quite busy now and it's the most important holiday (Spring Festival) in China.

If not, try deleting your blockchain and restoring an older wallet.dat

It would take them 30 seconds to ssh into the server, dump the dgc privkey for your address, import the dumped dgc privkey into doge clent, then send contents of doge address to the doge address linked to your bter account
I've told this to the guys on the support mail and gave them the exact operations. To no avail so far. I wonder if they are intending the theft of them.
May i ask what what was the dgc address you sent them to?
When you look at that address on dogecoin block explorer there should show the receiving transaction of your dogecoin?
Any send transaction would mean they ahve already taken the 30 seconds to recover your coins.. but instead of sending to you, just stolen them.

Hi, I made the horrible mistake of sending 1.5M DOGE to a DGC address on BTER: the addresses are almost identical and the rows are on top of eachother on the balance page. I don't know, I was tired and distracted... I did some research and there is an easy way to recuperate my coins (proven), but it is a manual operation that needs to be performed on BTER side. They must extract the private key from the DGC wallet and import it into the DOGE wallet. It is a trivial operation that takes a few seconds. ex: - on DGC wallet:
- walletpassphrase __passphrase__ 120
- dumpprivkey DJT6dnvD4w8JHv1tR7DBQmPHmPYzUr85zU
- on DOGE wallet:
- walletpassphrase __passphrase__ 120
- importprivkey __generated_key__
I have implored their support person to help me, using all kinds of arguments, but to no avail. They argue that they have no time and it requires too much work. I have offered them a 200K reward if they would do it, which largely compensates the small effort to accomplish these operations. I know for example freeworm is part of the BTER staff and I hope he will read this post. Any other ideas on how I can convince BTER to help me are welcome. I'm totally messed up by this event because DOGE was the first crypto I've mined for weeks and weeks... Devs, we really need to get this wallet update asap! Potcoin launched yesterday with some issues but a strong hashrate, now I see dopecoin launch pre announced, and that one looks like it may have its act together. Kushcoin is pretty much un-harvestable at this point due to the high diff and low (no?) hash rate.
If you are still waiting for pool operators to respond I'd suggest cutting them loose and instead of trying to setup your own pool find a p2p operator who can add KHC. It would really be a shame to just let this die at this point but I fear that's where we're heading.

I was also in negative balance on Cryptsy (may God rape their incompetent souls).
But with the remaining LTC I bought DOGE and DOGE nearly doubled.
I bought back the negative BTC and then bought back DOGE again.
I ended up with nearly 250K. My withdraw is now "pending" for hours.
If and when I receive my DOGE in my wallet, I'll be able to say I'm happy
Cryptsy fucked up my account. However, I will never use their services again.
They are thoroughly incompetent, dishonest and possibly scamming.
