Don't go near their cloud mining service, right now they are taking 67% as maintenance fee, you will never ROI.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Alpha Technology Litecoin (Scrypt) ASIC Miner Order Batch 1 Now! on: August 04, 2014, 03:29:58 PM
So, for 50Mh/s I made a 30% deposit of 405 pounds  = 681.674 USD (as of right now) that I wont see until probably until Oct/Nov

Now I can buy a 44Mh/s for $799
http://zoomhash.com/collections/top-sellers/products/44mhs-scrypt-asic-miner-1000w-delivery-within-10-days-or-it-is-free

Hmmm.

They are not comparable since the parameter are different even if the price is higher.
The miner price of $799 for 44Mhs miner consumes 1000Watts.
But the 50Mhs Alfa-T miner, if they deliver, consumes only 375Watts.
The lower power consuming miner can also be run for many more difficulty cycles that the counter part.
So the final out of both are different after deducting electricity expenses.
All depends only if they delivery at least in the next delivery date.
How do you know it consumes 375 watts? Have you seen one?

Scam:
Ya, They just banned me for pointing out to stay in business they need to be more competitive. There is a competitor (which I didn't mention on their forums), Zoom hash, that is Delivering TODAY same has for half the price. So ya... they banned me for this. And I've already paid them in full... Now I can't even READ their forums and updates. Do NOT buy from these people.
Yes, I got banned too because I said that mining now was better than mining in the future. And if you want to read their forums just remove and block their cookies.

I think H2O has died or something..

Or he just used the money from the newer miners to pay high returns to the older miners.

Does MC pay above 0.001 every sunday or it will pay only after 7 days of inactivity?

he used to do it on Wednesdays as i recall

I just wonder if somehow MC got caught up in the Mt. Gox fiasco.

Why would you say that?

I'm not really defending him but it looks as if the decline at MC and the mess at Mt. Gox happened at about the same time, maybe he was trading there.

I challenge you to list which coins Mt. Gox dealt with

Does anybody know?? Isn't that the problem?

I'll say this, he's communicating more

Unfortunately, we mined a bad fork of KARM today for several hours.

I love mining forks.  Think I might just go back to Litecoin.  I kind of miss having two currencies sometimes...

Did I just get forked???

@newbies and whiners: in the long term, this seems the best pool. Of course, there are days that other pools beat MC. Nothing forces you to stay here everyday, though.

That said, most-profitable pools popping up like mushrooms are destroying value for everyone. So are the scrypt ASICs.

Mining is not a sprint, it is a marathon so don't think Usain Bolt think Mo Farah.

Having very high reject rates with new rig running 2x r9 290 tri-x runni sgminer and 13.11 beta drivers. Bat file as follows

sgminer -o stratum+tcp://middlecoin.com:3333 -xxxx-p x -I 23 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 32765 --gpu-engine 1020 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-fan 85 --temp-target 88 --temp-overheat 92 --temp-cutoff 98 --gpu-powertune 20

Can't get these cards running with cgminer at all.

Any suggestions?

"-I" is too high. Start with 18/19/20. Check the hahsrate/rejects/WU and settle for the best values (depends also on what server you're hashing).

GPU and memclock might be too high as well. safer settings are 947/1250 or 975/1350 or 987/1425. Let it run a while (day or two), see if anything goes sick/dead/off. Have a good PSU?

I have 4xr9 290 cards running those setting stable and no issues, strange these cards don't like it. Tried intensity lower keep getting display adapter failed message it runs perfectly for 10 mins thn get the error. Psi is good antec 850w.

I am no expert but I would think to run 4xr9 290 you need at least 1200w, preferably 1300w.

the problem is that your "non-faulty" logic is totally wrong lol.

it has nothing to do with self control, and everything to do with personal preference. you prefer to live in a world of rainbows and unicorns where everyone is sensitive and politically correct. and you cry foul when something doesnt make everyone happy.

whereas most of the internet accepts the reality of the internet and embraces its cruel, vial, nature. because it's hilarious and we aren't all such pussies. so when one of you comes along, we have a good laugh at your expense by making you more angry. mission accomplished.

theres no issue with self control, most of us feel like theres nothing that NEEDS to be controlled (especially something as small as this). if you cant handle the language of the internet, my best advice would be to unplug your ethernet cord.

Very interesting...I am masticating while reading this.

220 CFM??? That's insane... and probably sounds like a 747.

Good for Garage and low-use room setups.

Much simpler and less expensive than a water-cooling setup.

If the name of the game is cheapest and coolest hashing I don't see how this can be beaten outside of living in a cold climate.

I just use one of these behind my rig... haven't needed much more than this so far in my Mining Room in my detached garage (of course it's the middle of winter around here... we'll see how summer goes).

That works for me too and I am in Miami.

I just came in to see if there was a reason why my balance today was so poor. I have one rig mining on middlecoin at about 1.7+ m/h and my payout is 0.010xxx at the moment and an unexchanged of over 0.0251xxx, This is just sad...

Really hoping for a miracle at this point tonight, I'm going to have to find another pool very soon if this becomes the norm and I certainly don't want to do that.

Looks like everyone's in the same boat.

I just don't get it. I JUST DON'T GET IT! Why do people keep complaining about the unexchanged over and over and over again?! What about it is sad? The fact that at any moment your balance could be shooting up like a rocket? You're scared that you won't get the coins from unexchanged at all if you don't get them today? I mean come on! If your payout is low for today but you have a lot of unexchanged your payout is most likely great the next day. It balances out people!

Sheesh, everyone needs to use their brains instead of the thing that you might or might not have between your legs.

Balance just shot up like a rocket.

With regards to people asking about wired vs wireless vs Ethernet over Power... While hardwired Ethernet will obviously provide the lowest latency, I'm currently running 5 of my rigs through "Ethernet over Power" and they work well (as long as the adapters are on the same power pole). Rejects are slightly higher around 5% usually, however, it's certainly doable, and better than nothing :] I also have a rig on wireless and other than the occasional wifi disconnect, it too runs well. One of these days I'll get around to wiring everything with Fibre or Cat 6 :]

OT: Did anyone else watch those 280x's come back into stock on Amazon for $305 earlier? Gone in like 5-10 minutes tops haha. Someone got in an order of either 12 or 16...jealous much haha

TigerDirect has the MSI R9 280X GAMING for $399 this morning and you could pay with Bitcoin.

I have been reading this thread for a couple weeks...interesting to say the least.

I have a problem trying to figure out why my reject rate is so high. When I check my individual machines my reject rates are 0.003664
0.548387 & 0.002722 but it is reported as 0.2237 sometimes it even goes over .3 so could someone tell me why the huge discrepancy? WU on each machine exceeds 94.

.3 out of what? Post your chart page.

Here it is and thanks.
