With Braiins OS, is there 100% fan speed upon start?
Is itpossible to downCLOCK miner, to be able to use it in home envirmonet (noise issues)?
Thanks
8.3volts, 450 mhz, auto fan. start up is abi***, but it levels out

Has anyone found the source for 15 or 17?
Use ghidra from the nsa and run it with the external libs you can find for the s9s you got. Diff both of these and see what YOU get 👌😂

I got 1 burnt s9 hashboard, maybe 2. 🇺🇸 To you prob won't be worth it though

Free bump, love the channel.
Is shipping included in price 🙄?

Hello .. the braiin os is cool but the problem i run into is: when i am at my mini farm 30 miners i get API connection stalled and then cant connect to miner ...
i mean i can still go mess with the other settings and pool side i am connected but it is very annoying because i cannot monitor the overclock settings so it makes it very hard to fine tune the miners
However when i bring 1 machine home and test run it there everything works very well and miners run optimal ....
anyone else got that issue ? ...
feels like it has something to do with my switch but all my miners that are not on brain os dont have that issue
Make sure you're able to use unsecured port 80. That's what's uhttp is looking for access to. My one computer won't allow me to port forward from off network due to some security issues. Idk, I just made an exception in the tcp forwards to allow all connections to that ip. Idk what it was but try to allow all connections to 443,4028,80,8080 See what works
952 watts doing 10500 set at freq 500 and 8.7 v
I can do 90 watts a th with bitmain firmware.
at the moment this is doing 90 watts a th.
I will play with it. to see if I go to 85 watts a
1002 watts doing 11050 set at freq and 8.7volt
which is 90 watts a th.
The new bitmain firmware sets your boards to (roughly) 450 frequency and 8.3 volts. So, I'd assume you could do 500 at 8.3 or 8.4 and get better watt/TH

this seems odd to me, running on default settings and lpm off: voltage and frequency seem off:8.9V and 650MHZ (when should be 630MHZ), temperatures are high and also, the hash rate on overclock doesn't get reported pool-side to be like the S9 reports it https://imgur.com/a/pxkRpggI'd drop those volts, my lord. I can run 800mhz at 8.8v with BARELY any he errors. For those low frequencies I'd drop the volts to 8.4 or 8.5 and then, your heat will drop. Turn lpm on. And you will see the advantages. You're going to burn up your hashboards with that high volts and low frequencies.

FWIW The 12-5 auto s9 fw, just drops the max voltages and usage of cores.. Try switching to antpool and see if bitmain has something enabled on their stratum server. And then we should be able to query it and see

Haha well I guess I was the guinea pig! Hopefully they figure it out soon. If you manage to make a back up of the fw from your R4 please do let me know!
Run the backup for brains via ssh on the other R4, then use the backup restore command to force it to the other R4 with the others backup

I normally vent my miners exhaust out my old gas furnace chimney, tonight though I ran the exhaust hose junction to the basement door and taped it down to vent into the house. Electric heat, so it cancels out nicely 😂 glad your set up worked out for you!

I've restored to factory on a couple with no issues. Having one with this problem now though.

This kills the web interface but SSH is still fine. I try to run the script again and get this.
[...]
I can reboot and everything is as it was for Braiins, but can't get back to original firmware. Not sure where to put bug reports for this but ayyyy. Here ya go.
Set the Mac address on your router to a static address for that miner. And try again

|
Second try.
My case. I have usual Antminer S9 and I'd like to install braiins-os. It is working only from SD card now. I cannot to install it onto memory and cannot upgrade firmware via upgrade command
[...]
There's a command to remove and clean the os on their wiki. Do that. Maybe hard reset the s9 with the reset in, and powering it on. Then wait and see if it goes through the normal preheat test.

Flash a Linux live disc img to that SD card. Boot the live rom and then you can use the instructions. There's no real way to do it, unless you run a virtual machine on windows 10. Use a Linux distribution.

Sheesh, idk what is going on I've been oc'ing stock firmware for my s9 13.5 and I've been able to get it to 17.8th on bitmain psu, 9.1v; 850 clock, and only got to 88* Celsius. I'd hate to see what y'all would get! I'm at 9.0v 800 clock on such and am getting 87* Celsius reading. Idk why such was running hotter

Same 10 minute limited test. LPM makes no difference in BMMINER880 firmware, it would probably show closer numbers with a longer test.
[...]
Asic boost isn't enabled within rocketships bmminer.. So your lpm tests are completely irrelevant

yes....my hash rate has drop too. every s9 drop about 300 to 400gh. anyone else facing this
It down clock's your volts so less hashrate
|
|
|
ABSOLUTELY Awesome. I'll test in a few hours. Thanks y'all!
