1  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: May 14, 2015, 11:31:56 AM
Or provide proofs from the 5 GB email dump. What high horse did you ride in on? Go see Mike Johnson. He is a real journalist.
[/quote]

Sigh.. another dude or dudette who wants to troll someone else... sigh Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

If you want to be objective, you provide evidence ( unbiased, preferably no fabricated proof because you will be called out and said "proof " will be ripped to shreds) to back up your claims.( stated this before on multiple threads and responses). Mike Johnson is a sports commentator and hockey player.

So yes put up ALL THE EMAILS! That way everyone can make up their own minds.. or are you hiding some information? Roll Eyes
2  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: May 14, 2015, 11:20:29 AM
... there is also another thing that is quite peculiar. the "Mate Tokay" signature on the bottom of the first page of said document. Why put a signature there? It is hardly done since a multiple page official document always stays together as one. Another thing that i noticed is that both Garza's and Tokay's signatures have similarities which does take a sledgehammer to the credibility of said document ( handwriting analysis). Also the fact that a "LEO" signed for "Mate Tokay" casts even more doubts.

This, along with a whole lot of other problems this document has, makes me question the document as a whole. I do not believe this is a genuine official document as i have proved it in a previous post. It seems to me that the document has been copy/pasted together from other documents to fit a certain thesis or just for the purpose to discredit someone or a company ( in this case Mate Tokay, Bitcoinist and everyone affiliated with Bitcoinist).

Do i accuse user kken01 putting up a forged "official looking document"? No of course not. I tore apart the so called evidence, not the user who posted it  Cheesy   If you did fabricate said document, Photoshop is a great tool for this, i should advise you to stop doing that and put your time into something more constructive ( for example create: a news site, an application, etc)
3  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: GAW / Josh Garza discussion. Paycoin XPY CoinStand Mineral. ALWAYS MAKE MONEY :) on: May 14, 2015, 11:03:27 AM
Well now this is quite cozy. All the self-proclaimed "moral knights in shining armor" taking a stand  and getting on their horses, ready to slay the vile corruption beast and its merry cryptoid followers. Quite a sight  Grin
This approach would work in RPG's and even in medieval times ( though your success depended on your targets background and status... so if we lived in medieval times you theoretically could have gotten away with killing Josh G)All joking aside it would be great if everyone in the community was as skeptical to every new thing that is coming out ( altcoin, technology etc). if they were a bit more skeptical, the scammers and criminals wouldn't have such an easy time to bamboozle a lot of the community.

Now if you want to really be effective, you need to come up with solid evidence. Solid evidence isn't the following: " I say .... and that is the "truth" because I say so/because it is common knowledge/through my vast experience", Using altered photos to prove a point( without actually giving out extra information like: who took the picture, where and when was it taken etc) etc.

For example: the "proof" that user (sorry if the term offends you but i don't want to say mr if you are a miss or vise versa) kken01 posted was a valiant effort to deliver some kind of proof but there are some obviously gaping holes in said "evidence". Let us, for the sake of argument  say that the document is a genuine one. If you zoom in on said photos you can see that there are more to said document than just the 2 pages that  user kken01 provided. At least 1 more page. Now if I would look to the bottom of each page, they are numbered so a full 2 pages are missing.

The document also seems to be a copy of the original, or a copy of a copy from which photos were taken. However here my skeptical attitude kicks in to high gear. Yes it can be a color copy of said "original" document but then some degradation of the signatures should be visible.

Mr odolvlobo: 95% of the news you see on tv is rehash. ALL news is being shared between news organisations ( look at the the similarities of the news ). Take a chill pill dude, its not the get all exited about. Re-writes happen every day 10000's of times in the real world and in the digital world ( with the necessary writing mistakes, spelling errors and typos).
5  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-01-03] CoinTelegraph: ISG Now Accepts Cryptocurrency for 3D Printers on: January 04, 2015, 01:46:20 PM
It does look great! and i do love that you accept BTC as payments. I know you are probably very busy but is there a chance you can make a video on how the 3D printer works? That would really be awesome  Grin
6  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-01-03] CoinTelegraph: ISG Now Accepts Cryptocurrency for 3D Printers on: January 04, 2015, 12:20:05 PM
If it was Makerbot who accepted Bitcoin then yes I would buy me one  Grin Grin Grin
However there are alternatives on the market like on amazon where you can buy, with bitcoin through all4bitcoins, a better 3d printer for less money.. euhm Bitcoins Smiley
I have read that if the 3d printer has't a case over it that it could influence the detail of printed items or completely ruin your item you are printing.
Regardless it is a great attempt and i hope that the business will flourish. ( however i do not see a private person purchasing one of these while there re alternatives out there)
7  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2015-01-03]CA- ESPN Immediately Exchanges Bitpay's Bitcoin Bowl Payment To Fiat on: January 04, 2015, 12:09:28 PM
Mr nagle,
You are correct sir, but if the BTC price went up ESPN would curse themselves into oblivion  Grin   Hindsight is good and all but at that point in time ESPN or anybody else for that matter was thinking about "bitcoin might drop 10% in a couple of weeks". The main reason is that ESPN doesn't trust Bitcoin  so they sold it all in 1 go. Clearly Bitcoin has a lot of work to do on it's image and on the education department  Smiley   ( that is for the community to do).

11  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar coming to an end on: December 31, 2014, 12:47:13 PM
Furthermore a currency that is basically a "world currency", like the dollar, Euro, Yaun and others to fall into dust so to speak, everyone should use other currencies for trading and avoid these currencies, which you can't. Why is that? because it is easy, fast, reliable ( to certain extent) because it has a government backing the currency ( which is saying every resident of said country is backing that coin/currency), etc.

I believe that "fiat" currency and digital currency ( though your paycheck is also digital when it arrives on your bank account)will continue to co-exist for a long time... or something catastrpohic should happen ( in the financial sector... like the news that "every single gold bar reserve of the US fed reserve are fakes") then it is likely that a currency potentially "could" find itself in a major "S** storm". Still the elites, banks etc are in charge and do you really think they give everything up without a fight?
12  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How can I buy BTC with $3k cash / Western Union / Pro form statement 10k colltrl on: December 31, 2014, 12:39:14 PM
https://safello.com/ is also an option
13  Economy / Economics / Re: Dollar coming to an end on: December 31, 2014, 12:36:28 PM
Nope the dollar isn't going "to end". This article is clearly written to bet an S load of shares and tweets about what is right  and wrong  with everything in between. Looking to the past and "copy/pasting" it to a current day problem/situation is one of the first big "no-no"s that are being hammered in at quality universities all over the world. That this "dude" did that doesn't give much value to his mindless ramblings. Besides a currency doesn't go "bust" suddenly, they just print out more money under the guise of some .......( insertion place for the politicians motivation)reason.    Grin
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Peer-to-Peer Review: The State of Academic ‪Bitcoin‬ Research in 2014 on: December 31, 2014, 12:23:03 PM
Good job man! However there are many in the academic field, mostly professors, do not like students to write papers or thesis's about Bitcoin ( mainly because the professors themselves know very little about it). However a great attempt and it is much appreciated!
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who's brave/stupid enough to invest their life savings into Bitcoin? on: December 31, 2014, 12:18:06 PM
No to investing in "Bitcoin" is in "the currency". Buyuing up Bitcoin to invest in Bitcoin companies and start ups, that is a different story Smiley Bitcoin itself is good for day trading if you have enough of it.   Grin
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Greece adopt Bitcoin? The answer is No on: December 31, 2014, 12:11:13 PM
Well with Bitcoin you need to think a bit wider than "just adopting it as the currency for a country". Bitcoin is already a world coin that is being used in businesses and alike an will create a much needed diversification for people and businesses ( especially the small ones) Bitcoin will exists as "that other payment option" (besides 99.999999999% of your paycheck is already digital ) So allowing businesses and people to create a diversification ( aka not putting you money in 1 or 2 pots) will generate a more stable climate. a more stable climate will push banks to give out better loans, which in turn will give the companies opportunities to evolve and grow, which in turn generate better/more job opportunities , etc
So bitcoin will contribute into job creation because it can have stabilizing quality.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Greece adopt Bitcoin? The answer is No on: December 31, 2014, 10:00:22 AM
In my opinion Bitcoin will be the best answer to stop corrupt politicians and elite. The blockchain technology allows transparency( on the transactions part) but also allows for privacy. Besides who is to order you "not to use digital currency"? The government can't police the internet ( they even fail to thwart hacking attempts.. not to say that i can do a better job but still  Grin  ) so how are they going to search for people using Bitcoin or altcoins? They need the in-house know-how that is lacking and with  corruption spreading like wildfire ( not only in Greece but in every country) that will not happen. I've seen very intelligent people being ignored for job openings but t he sons and daughters of the wealthy & elite get the job, even if they haven't got a clue what to do. That is mostly why I quit my previous job.

Now being a member of the EU does hinder policy making a bit. if the ECB or the EU parliament create a laws that says "bitcoin will be taxed" or " is illegal" or some such thing the members of the EU need to follow this ruling ( otherwise fines and other nasty-ness.. and again its the people that are bearing the full brunt of that shitestorm.. just as it was with nearly very other crises in the last 3 decades or so). Currently EU countries have the liberty, to a certain extent, to do with BTC what they want. France for example did a heavy crackdown ( or smack-down) on everything digital currency. However they are changing their stance a bit after seeing the possible benefits. Belgium on the other hand, a neighboring country, does allow digital currencies to be traded back and forth without taxation and other more positive attitudes are coming from the government ( sometimes politicians can be open minded... and it doesn't hurt if you know some politicians and know how to work the system and have a great bitcoin association to boot)

So why not create a Greece/bitcoingroup that is open to dialog ( yes even with the politicians to educate them) IF that is done correctly someone in your community should fire off a letter( official one) to ask the tax authority of Bitcoin, dogecoin or digital currencies are going to be taxed now? they have to respond and if they do it like the Belgian government, they will agree that no tax will be levied ( basically allowing the trade and use of BTC). This gives you some legal leverage (since it is an official document) and will create more trouble for the government in the future if they decide to ban or levy taxes. It also helps to have an in-house legal expert/lawyer Smiley it wouldn't hurt to speak to the inner greed of the politicians too ( but not to obvious)

I also think that a tougher stance on migration is in order because migration/immigration isn't really to help the "poor people that are fleeing war torn countries" but for big companies to get cheaper labor forces than the average joe or jane. This in turn creates anger between residents and immigrants/migrants which in turn keeps both parties not organised, which is the main goal of most big businesses. The big businesses take the lessons from history to hart: "know your enemy, know your surroundings and know yourself and you will be victorious" Sun Tzu or  "divde et impera" Phillip 2 of Macedon or "divide ut Regnes" Caesar. However if a small band of brothers and sister clamp together, like oh I don't know the Spartans did against the overwhelming force of the Persian empire ( to say in history or other examples), they might be victorious. I know a bit of a dreamy reminiscence but i find it an apt description for current day troubles. Now i'm not a racist bigot that only plays and gables in digital currency but you have to look at the job opportunities that are available and if you have about 200 000  or more jobless people already do you really need to add  thousands more refugees? A quota would be great in theory but still in practice we've seen that there are also corrupt officials that help people to get "their legal things" in order at the sight of a high stipend Smiley

Anyway I think Bitcoin should be adopted by Greece. This will be a well placed F****** you to the EU and the rest of the world. Personally I think that the elite are purposefully keeping Greece, Spain & Portugal artificially "in the hot seat" so to speak. That way the elite can buy up lands, companies etc   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHUk-lyfUV8  ( no worries , English subtitles are present Wink    ) Now there was a prominent Belgian investor ( company has about 5 billion €), read an article in a financial journal a couple of months past, that said that he was buying up companies, buildings, office spaces etc in Greece because "Greece will get back in its feet and business will flow again".

So chek2fire I do agree with most of your conclusions. Education is a problem, however it is us, the BTC community, to educate the people ( elite fear "the people" getting organised around something like bitcoin). Maybe you are good with words so you can go to speeches, talk to people, network with certain open minded people. If you are not so good with speaking but are a great writer you can always make a Greek news site that educates and informs people about happenings in the digital currency community ( but then in your native language) and if you want you can have a  chat with Alex Preukschat about the translation of the Bitcoincomic to Greek. That way you create a great awareness about bitcoin ( honestly who doesn't love to read comics )
18  Economy / Services / Re: Quality Writer at Low Rates on: July 02, 2014, 07:40:44 AM
Cheap rates and 'professional writing skills' do not go together. I do not know you but cheap rates means usually that there is something wrong: Ive been asked to write articles for multiple sites and for 500 words it varied between 0,03 and 0,1 btc depending on the length of the articles, If you pay with peanuts you get monkeys. Just some friendly advice: everyone can think or claim they can write but everyone asks PROOF so why not upload an example so people can make up their own mind  Grin Grin
19  Economy / Services / Re: Writing Services-Accepting BTC! on: July 02, 2014, 07:28:20 AM
Nice but still why should people chose for your services when there are journalists and other professionals who can do the job(maybe even better)? Just wondering though  Grin
20  Economy / Services / Re: Best places to advertise a Bitcoin related service... on: July 01, 2014, 10:43:04 PM
You can always ask a news site to do an article about your product:
You can look for the collaboration between the 9 news sites and see if they want to do something about it. Just contact them. You can always receive a "yes" maybe even a pro bono article Smiley
