I do it often. Last time I was with a bitcoin friend and they agree it would make a funny video to record the various expressions people had when asked that question. Anyway, it is a good idea to inquire just so people become more aware.
The video idea sounds funny. Common phrase after the question is: "I'm sorry, bitcoin what?" haha. It's not about forcing the stores to take Bitcoin, it's just to let more people know what Bitcoin is and later they can decide if they want to get into it or not. |

Yes I did. This isn't a foolproof plan on getting places to accept bitcoins. Their next response will probably be "no, we still don't accept Bitcoins".
Probably, but it's worth to try. Besides this way there will be more people that has heard of bitcoin, and sooner or later they may get interested in buying or accepting bitcoin in their bussiness. I myself didn't get into bitcoin till I heard of it at least a dozen times! It's a good way of getting Bitcoin's name out there and to help promote it, but I'm not going to look like an idiot and keep asking if a shop accepts Bitcoin when they've already told me several times that they don't. If you want to; then great, but I'd find it annoying personally. I always tell people bout Bitcoin, but I'm not going to keep driving it into them like an aggressive salesman. Of course, I agree. I would ask just once, the thing is to hear of it from different people. |

Did you even look at the website? That is the whole point. If you ask "do you accept bitcoin" they may say "bitcoin what?"... the first time then next time, "bitcoin again? i've heard of that", then next time someone asks "I'd better find out about what bitcoin is since people keep asking about it", then next time ... "Yes we take bitcoin!"

People don't have to buy a load of crap they don't want just because they believe in the Bitcoin.
Don't blow all your 'coins on crap, indeed, but since you've surely got daily purchases to make either way, do as the Bitcoin Jesus recommends and ask the magic question everywhere you go. |

That's great LiteCoinGuy, I think it would be really nice to have the option of paying with Bitcoin in every single purchase that we make, either it is online or in the stores that we visit everyday (bakery, café, bar, etc) |

Hello, I write to share a new tool for advocating Bitcoin. It's a simple thing, but if everyone asks, "Do You Take Bitcoin?" everywhere they go, we can spread Good Money that much faster!
