Please help us out -we need some big rigs at Bitember!

http://pxl.bitember.com

This.
Guys, spread the hash.
Only 1 miner at
http://pxl.minar.cc/
and 5 here atm
http://pxl.bitember.com

We need more hashrate!

We may increase the block reward bonus to 5 tomorrow to attract some whales. Network hashrate is definitely a problem. Those who support PXL we could definitely use your help mining! We are considering all options right now and keeping a sharp eye on the network hashrate.
You need to advertise the coin more, especially on community hubs like reddit, facebook etc.

Hey guys,

I downloaded the mdc2.py script a while ago and have been using to monitor my middlecoin miner.  I have noticed the last few days it has been WAY over what I actually am getting paid.  For instance is claims my balance currently is .0105 but the website claims it is .0074.

Has something change that would make this script not be as accurate as it has been?

  Phad
Are you sure you're not looking at total balance which includes unexchanged and immature coins? Also what part of website are you referring to? The table with all miners balances or your adress' report page? Since the former was updated more frequently and therefore more accurate.

@ASICs
They're interesting but they are no threat at the moment.

What are you even doing here still? Where is your evidence against h2o? Gone alongside GPU mining as you claim? Maybe you should go too and don't come back.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Gridseed GC3355 -Hybrid Scrypt/SHA256 ASIC on: January 15, 2014, 12:10:03 AM
there is the data sheet :http://www.cybtc.com/thread-3194-1-1.html

6.4 Power Consumption
The following is the power consumption under 1.0V DVDD condition (Unit: Watt). Gridchip will
release more accurate power consumption data after mass production of ASIC Chip and Mining machine.

Freq(MHz)   BTC HashRate(M)     LTC HashRate(K)      Power of  BTC Mode     Power of  BTC+LTC Mode        Power of  LTC Mode
700             1750                        59.6                          4.20                             4.56                                         0.44

GC3355 is on public sale. At BeiJing time 2014-1-14 18:00PM.
Mail 1 day after pay.
one USB Machine = 360K LTC + 10G BTC
(when only mining LTC is 7w, both mining LTC & BTC is 60w)
http://cybtc.com/thread-4792-1-1.html

Wait I'm confused. Is each chip 60Kh/s or 360Kh/s? And at $65/chip, that makes a big difference.
Chip is 60Kh/s but "usb machine" is 360Kh/s as it has 6 chips.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 13, 2014, 04:36:20 AM
To all those worried about the payouts... Once I add up my additional unexchanged along with what I'll already be paid, it looks like the value per MH/s will be just under 0.01BTC

Sure, it's not the profitability we had back in the middle of December, however, it's still something. Remember, if you hold your BTC and the value increases in the future, that 0.01 BTC you made may be a lot more than $8.30

That said, many of us are watching the performance closely, and I'm quite tempted once TradeMyBit implements Auto-BTC to do a 2 week or so 7.5MH/s vs 7.5MH/s comparison.

For me taking (paid out + est. unexchanged left) from whole last week gives about .0125 BTC per MHs a day.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 05, 2014, 08:04:29 PM
^I honestly have no idea how it works. I've been in queue for what seems like forever.

Hi!
Thanks for the explanation...
But what that really means in pratic terms? The Light Blue bar is what i will still recieve? What am i really getting payout?
The green light bar is imature coin? What is that? Some coin i just mined but its still too low valued?

Sorry but its my first time with so much data to analyse and correlate!

Thanks!

LPC
What is the unexchanged balance?

This is your balance of coins other than bitcoins. My auto-exchanger will convert them into bitcoins, usually within a day. Some coins take a while to reach "trade maturity" to where you can send them without paying a fee. These coins will take longer to be converted into bitcoins.

What is the immature unexchanged balance?

This is your balance obtained from blocks that have not yet reached maturity, and are therefore possible orphans. After a designated number of blocks, you will be credited these coins, and they will go under your "unexchanged balance" column. Some coins take longer than others to mature. For example, NovaCoin takes three days.

from http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/faq.html

You'll more-or-less receive the unexchanged & immature amount, though since they aren't cashed out, it's possible it'll change a bit. In my experience, they've never deviated much from what's stated. (which is a bit suspicious since we're all in tin-foil mode Wink )
Link to FAQ should really be at the top, it's too easy to damn miss at bottom after those hundreds of adresses with balances.

Better clarification of what that "refund" transaction really was would be really appreciated too.

Hi Guys!
I donīt get all those hate to h02...
Nobody is forced to mine on his pool! Smiley

I for one donīt care about all this nonsense of him stealing his own pool!
Im no pro at coin propection, and i need some "broker" that do that for me... Choose the best coins and get the best profit...
I for one im very happy with this service and pool... the 3.4% that h02 takes is pretty fair and i hope he keeps the good work.

As for MIMIMiner... nobody didnīt notice he was joking? LOL
PPL Relax a little please!

To close my post i need a little help interpreting the graphics...
I know that the red line is the payments, but what about the green bars and the light blue bars? What does they mean?
Thanks in advance for all the help clarifing this doubts...

With my best Regards,

LPC
Red - earned BTC
Light blue - worth of mined coins in BTC but not yet converted/exchanged to BTC
Light green - worth in BTC of mined coins which have yet to mature before they can be exchanged to BTC

Dark blue - accepted hashrate
Orange - rejected hashrate
Dark green line - last 3h average hashrate

I can't got payout for my mining (more than 24 hours with 400+KH/s)

Is your balance total over 0.01?

Yes, This is my UserID/BTC: 1Lxb2kLFBQSKqHYzrf2D9dQ7ujhrFmR91m

http://middlecoin2.s3-website-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/reports/1Lxb2kLFBQSKqHYzrf2D9dQ7ujhrFmR91m.html
According to that your current balance is 0. 0.0027811 BTC was paid, transaction is on blockchain.info on your adress ( https://blockchain.info/pl/address/1Lxb2kLFBQSKqHYzrf2D9dQ7ujhrFmR91m ). If it doesn't show in your wallet, try to resynchronise it.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 29, 2013, 06:30:17 PM
The JSON you found is all there is, and AFAIK that's the API. It's a snapshot and self documenting. It's the same data as in the table on the home page. To make the graphs I collect that data every ten minutes and save about a weeks worth.

Apple hasn't been approving wallet apps or anything that risks funds, unless maybe if you're a bank of something. You might be able to do a mining data app. I haven't looked lately at what there is in the iOS store. There are a lot of coin apps on Android.

Thanks for reply. I already have a working app for my personal use. I just need to make it more "eye candy", it's a little ugly now  Grin

I was hoping there is a JSON data for payout details, not the one on the main page but when i click on the payout link(url with report).
But it's not a big deal, i can parse the HTML source code.
This is quite handy.

Here you go: middlecoin.com/reports/1PqM7xBPA6Q2DohamzncBGY48U17jC9tVA.json
Cool, thanks h2o.  Can you please add individual balance data to this page?  Would be nice to save both ends a chunk of bandwidth when checking the json for balance stats on a single account.
+1

h2o, have you thought  about putting the table with stats to subpage or moving the bottom (faq, contact etc) bar to the top. It's quite not comfortable to get to these as it is now(have to wait to load and scroll through all of that). I think the basic info along with coingeek graph would be sufficient for mainpage.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 26, 2013, 09:49:51 PM
After adding in a time difference check for python mdc watcher between local and server time, it appears middlecoin JSON data is always outdated by 5+ minutes and only updates roughly once per thirty minutes. Is this in line with others' findings?

Are you sure about the thirty minute finding? Interesting.

I'm not saying this isn't what's happening right now, but I've been collecting data from the JSON every ten minutes and I know I've seen changes happening at about that scale in the recent past.

Here's what I have in the command line buffer:
Time since last JSON update: 49-137 minutes
Time since last JSON update: 6-18 minutes
Time since last JSON update: 9-20 minutes
Time since last JSON update: 9-20 minutes
Time since last JSON update: 9-32 minutes (<- hasn't updated yet)

Will look again later. ETA: guess it's better, now. Looks like it's updating about as fast as it can since ~10-minute-old JSON data comes ~every 10 minutes.

That's big improvement. Finally info about payment has been updates on site too, still eu server is not mentioned there though.

Did payout get switched to every two days?

Don't think so. Why do you ask?

For those using python program. I've rewritten it and it's actually decent now:

12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Tirith - free python program for monitoring statistics from pools and exchanges on: December 26, 2013, 09:07:18 PM
Hello!
Firstly I wasn't sure where to post it, but since most of its functionality is related to altcoins I did it here. If it's wrong place I'd like to ask some kind mod to move it to proper place.

Anyways I've just finished test version of python console program for monitoring info from mining pools and exchanges.
- supported exchanges as of this moment: BTC-E, Bitstamp, Mt.Gox, Cryptsy
- supported pools as of this moment:
        http://middlecoin.com
any pool with site of this type: examples: https://ftc.d2.cc/ or http://lite.coin-pool.com/
any pool with site of this type: example: http://fst.zabmail.ru/
- more to come soon.

More details, readme and download on: https://github.com/shimapan-daisuki/tirith

Anyone had an issue with the python pool monitor crashing at seemingly-random times? Sometimes runs for ~8h, sometimes breaks after first update. Unsure if edit I made or if anyone else's had problem.

I can't tell where it's pulling the date/time from, either. It's three hours and thirty minutes before my actual time (and PC time, and I'm UTC-5, which makes the given time really weird). I tried adding an offset in the code, but I have no clue what I'm doing.

It crashes probably when site and therefor json data isn't available as failsafe solution wasn't added there. Times are from taken from server, time conversion's to local time not yet added too.

Not planning on 'fixing' this since  I'm near releasing a test version of python program for monitoring stats from any altcoin pool and exchange.
WIP atm looks like this:

Thx for the answer guys, how the hell do I multi-quote?

So with 400kh/s It's going to take me a week to do .01. I'm not sure I want to stay in this pool that long, how do I get my coins before .01?

,01 is not what I signed up for.
You aren't mining 24h/day I suppose? Since If you did you would be getting .01 in 2-3 days. I think you'll have to mine it out, other than that the payments threshold might be returned to previous value in the future but I doubt it considering the load on the pool. Shame that info on the site hasn't been updated.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 23, 2013, 01:10:46 PM

It seems to me that Rick is looking for solution to display info on such LCD usb module, may it be from python watcher or custom graph from Munin, not solution to graph some data itself.

Theres a fair bit of overhead in designing this solution which is why I'm asking if the idea is novelty or for a serious purpose.
Of course it's a novelty but it's as serious as serious is monitoring data. As of now I'd agree that setting this up for only simple monitoring this pool's stats is a bit of overkill. However I'm in middle of writing console python program for displaying stats from any pool or exchange that provides its own webapi and probably could add support for displaying the data on such usb display, in that case this kind of solution would be a little more reasonable.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 23, 2013, 12:43:38 PM
Yeah this python watcher prog is nice, if this pool stays up I'll be leaving it up. I can make some basic changes and alterations, but who knows how to make it do something cool like output to a usb screen?

Like this one http://www.ebay.com/itm/USB-2-8-TFT-LCD-module-LCD-sys-info-display-temperature-fan-AIDA64-LCD-Smartie-/121004607232
It's possible to do. Program wouldn't even be needed to be rewritten to C as I can see there is python driver available, although it needs some major(not sure how big, since didn't check the driver code) alterations to the code. I probably could do this but it'll be kind of troubling to test it as I don't own such display. If you're interested still then contact me through PM.

There are plenty of things which take output and graph them etc... eg.... like Munin...

Or are you simply looking for novelty?

It seems to me that Rick is looking for solution to display info on such LCD usb module, may it be from python watcher or custom graph from Munin, not solution to graph some data itself.

Added EUR support.
Links's the same: https://www.dropbox.com/s/89lmek87a9a3oo2/mdc2.py
EDIT:
moved to github: https://github.com/michwill/mdc

DOS quirks makes EUR symbol to not display correctly, it does work properly in IDLE and should also work on linux terminal I think.

Hi, guys I modified Michwill's python script for myself but maybe it'll be useful for others.

Should we version control it? Bitbucket/github?
We should. I prefer github.

Dogecoin has felt down 150% in only a few days. Profit for the coming days will be much lower.

Interesting to read, http://cryptolife.net/who-the-hell-is-buying-dogecoin/
Seems it was just another pump and dump scam.
Nothing suprising really.

Thanks for your contributions, I've already updated the script with these fixes. Link is still the same.
Also I added Bitstomp api and option to toggle exchanges display.

Feel a lill bit noobish but wth is Bitstomp?

Love this pool. Already made a free cheeseburger lol Cheesy
Probably switch over the rest off my rigs.
Bitstomp is a typo but Bitstamp is another exchange BTC/USD only though.

Thanks for your contributions, I've already updated the script with these fixes. Link is still the same.
Also I added Bitstamp api and option to toggle exchanges display.

If I want it to say EURO (€) Can I just change all values that says USD to EUR and the script automatically takes the euro values from btce?

Only need to change this
https://btc-e.com/api/2/btc_usd/ticker
to
https://btc-e.com/api/2/btc_eur/ticker

It'll still print $ but the value will be in EUR, I'll add proper option for displaying rates in EUR later.
