1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Like Facebook, will Twitter welcome blockchain?? on: May 16, 2018, 09:22:30 AM
Of course this happen. Big company’s just look at potential profits and risks. If they launch a coin they will be able to break into a new market for their business which will unlock big profits, it’s a matter of time.
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: False Promises About Bounty Payments! on: May 09, 2018, 08:21:28 AM
I think this is a recent occurrence though. I don't remember hearing about fake bounty payments until the turn of the year, not on this scale anyway. I say clear of the announcement thread for that very reason now. I think its become very polluted and its just too much effort to find the decent project announcements.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Most cryptocurrencies will crash to zero on: May 09, 2018, 08:19:19 AM
As quoted from CNBC there is a cryptocurrency will be zero.

What do you think ?

From :

https://www. cnbc. com/2018/02/07/most-cryptocurrencies-will-crash-to-zero-goldman-sachs-says.html

Well eventually when people realise which coins are scammy I think a vast majority will disappear and resources will congregate into the quality projects. I think people are just taking advantage of the uneducated masses at the moment but the masses won't be uneducated for long.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am pretty confident we are the new wealthy elite, gentlemen. on: May 08, 2018, 10:19:41 PM
http://astrohacker.com/ahc/bitcoin-is-the-economic-singularity/

After reading this, the scale of black market and digital economies and the effect Bitcoin will have on them I am pretty certain we are going to be very wealthy men -- even with a sum as small as 10 Bitcoins. It's just so hard to believe. We are only in the beginning storms with these significant rallies from 10 to 20 dollars. I will not be surprised to see prices from hundreds to thousands in the coming months.

The world just isn't going to be the same and we have been blessed as the pioneers.

What are you going to do with your Bitcoin wealth once your coins hit upwards of $10,000 a pop?

you my friend are a true visionary!
5  Economy / Marketplace / Re: BitcoinTalkShow on: May 08, 2018, 10:18:50 PM
So agreed for the show,  it will be very entertaining  and will interest a lot of people and it will be good if the show will be twice a week. But the question is, does that possible to going worldwide I mean it will be on national channel or just private channel because it will have a lot of affect if the show going to the national channel.

Ye twice a week seems like a good number to start with. You don't want to over saturate you show with content. Look at 24 hour news stations...most of it is about pets and the weather haha
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is Bitcoin used to extort people? on: May 08, 2018, 10:17:08 PM
Because of the semi-anonymous nature of Bitcoin, it’s used in ransomware attacks. Hackers breach networks and hold them hostage until payment is made to them. Hospitals and schools have been victims of these types of attacks. However, unlike cash, which was favored by thieves in the past, Bitcoin always leaves a trail in the blockchain that investigators can follow.

Cant you still remain anonymous if you are extra careful not to link up accounts and then by sending your coins into a mixing service? Is this not the technique they use?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: When will ICOs die? on: May 08, 2018, 08:30:49 AM
Recently learned that more and more ICOs are closing deals through private sales and merely airdropping the coins. Will ICOs die, when will it?

I don't think the ICO will die to be honest. I think its going to become the new version of the IPO over time. The majority of scammy projects will eventually be regulated out of existence hopefully. I was reading an blog posted by Zhao Chengpeng today linked below and I happen to agree with allot of what he says.

https://www.coindesk.com/binances-cz-icos-are-100-times-better-than-traditional-vcs/

I think financial inclusion for retail investors is one of the biggest benefits off an ICO and will be the reason it prevails.
8  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Banknotes on: May 07, 2018, 11:55:26 AM
As the popularity and value of Bitcoin increases so do its adoption. Recently, about 4,000 new ATMs were introduced in Argentina. A drastic transformation in this sphere is being brought by Tangem that is trying to make the cash like transaction through cryptocurrencies a possibility for the users.

Tagem, a new smart banknote platform is launching the bitcoin banknotes in Singapore, which is known for its blockchain and crypto favorable regulatory measures. The notes will be on sale at the Megafash Suntec City store. The aim is to mass produce the physical notes of bitcoin in millions by the end of 2018.

I do think the infrastructure is being ramped up which is needed. The underlining technology is there we just need more infrastructure and adoption to see the whole market increase. What I would say regarding the bank notes is that I think it is bit of a novelty. The beauty of bitcoin is that is is massively divisible and can be sent cross borders. Its like taking a Ferrari and placing wooden wheels on it haha but I can see why they are doing it. It might help people who haven't been exposed to bitcoin before conceptualise it slightly better.

How Déjà vu Can Happen?

Have you ever come to a place for the first time, and feel familiar with the place? In French, the recurrence of such an event is called the Deja Vu. But why did Deja Vu happen? Is our life like a soap opera whose story is repeated again?

I think the best explanation for this is that our brains are amazing at pattern recognition. This is one of the things that sets us apart from the rest of life on earth is our ability to pick up on patterns. We do it without even noticing. When you get that feeling of mistrust in your gut towards someone without explanation its probably you are subconsciously picking up on similar traits to people who have been untrustworthy in the past. Specifically for DeJavu, I have to admit it does get pretty weird sometimes. Maybe this is through dreams. They say we have over 100 dreams a night and as we all know these dreams can be pretty wild and also scarily mundane and normal. Maybe be have dreamed these scenarios in our head before they happen.

Its the above or we are all telepathic super human future seeing beings with powers we are yet to harness.
10  Economy / Economics / Re: Incoming new dot com bubble ? on: May 02, 2018, 09:48:04 AM
It may be worth buying up some obvious domain names however if you look at the biggest companies in crypto, the names they choose are pretty much all unrelated to crypto. Binanace, Poloniex, Ethereum ect. Maybe buy domains that contain "bit". We have a few companies with this within the name.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Centralized coins on: April 28, 2018, 09:28:15 PM
I think there is room for a centralised coin in the short to medium term. For the banking sector that is. But I think for anyone trying to set up a private blockchain to receive extra security well these will all fall by the wayside eventually. Even ripple to an extent could become obsolete. This in the painter capital 40trillion market though and we are a way off that mark
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Proceeds Cautiously on: April 28, 2018, 09:24:34 PM
Im quietly optimistic at the moment. There seems to be a steady drip of good news coming out doesn't there. Pantera Capitals 40trillion target may be a little overoptimistic though. Short to medium term anyway
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the history repeat again? on: April 22, 2018, 06:57:20 PM
"History doesn't repeat but it definitely rhymes"

When I first read this quote I though it was extremely revealing. We can fall into the trap of assuming history will repeat over and over. A few months ago we were told following Chinese new year the market would pick up and allot of peoples decisions were based on that assumption coming true. Now it turned out this didn't actually play much of a part in the price action so its important to understand the majority of events happen independently of one another. That being said history is a good indicator in some cases but basing your decisions on the past can sometimes blind you from what is right in front of you
14  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin vs Ethereum after 5 years? on: April 20, 2018, 03:01:54 PM
Bitcoin will have a market cap of 1trillion and a value of 100k. It will be considered as another option by people looking to store some value. The one trillion will come from a majority of gold lovers switching sides understanding btc is a new generations gold.

Eth for me could go two ways. It could be the google of tomorrow hosting tons of amazing applications that may become the corporations of tommorow, or it could get absolutely decimated by the SEC who could blame them for all of the ICO scams taken place on top of their platform (take this view with a pinch of salt, this is the very worst case scenario for Eth)
15  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists hate Religion ? on: April 20, 2018, 02:58:02 PM
I do see allot of similarities between religious fundamentals and atheist fundamentals. Anybody who is 100% certain of anything sets my alarm bells ringing. If you are 100% sure there is a god, ok thats fine but you cant be certain because really there is no substantial evidence but the same goes for hardcore atheists. There is nothing that says there couldn't be something out there ands im not referring to a bearded man sat on a throne. Even contemplating the Big Bang. What started the Big Bang, where did the space appear from for the universe to expand into? these questions are un answerable and any theory on that is just theory. Im not saying this proves there is a god im just saying this plants a seed of doubt in my head that we are living in a world without something else (I don't want to say god because of all the connotations it has)
16  Economy / Economics / Re: So mining is apparently only profitable if btc is over $8600 on: April 20, 2018, 02:51:58 PM
I read this and my first reaction was that this was an arbitrary number they must have picked out of the air because like a few others have mentioned there are so many variables that go into the overall cost of mining. The electricity cost for one. Say you are using a renewable energy source, then what? And the degree of difficulty is always changing as well so how is this factored in?

18  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin contribution to World' income on: April 19, 2018, 12:56:32 PM

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Kraken Exchange on: April 18, 2018, 03:15:46 PM
most of krakens volume comes from Europe anyway so I can't see it having too much of an effect. I think Japan are now banning any foreign nationals from using their exchanges. An interesting move. Lets see how it transpires.
