Mortimer452, "your" staked coins are cryptsy coins. LOL, heh?
CORRECT! The stake earned on your Cryptsy balance belongs to Vern... too late now. OK, so there's no way to earn stake on these coins now? Purchased coins cannot be transferred to the wallet on my PC and staked? You can transfer them to your own wallet now, but you are too late to get any kind of obscene stake... if you did it today then sometime after the 12th you would be eligible for those blocks to stake at the new, reduced rate. Just in case though... you should stick to transferring out blocks of 100 million or less at a time. Right, I understand the stake is massively reduced under the new rules. I just wasn't sure how it worked. So all I need to do is transfer 100mil at a time to my wallet and just let it sit there? 1 CENT per 10,000 in my wallet just magically appears after 9 days?

I, too support this unique coin and will do whatever I can to help. I am a veteran Windows/.Net/MSSQL developer but I'm pretty rusty (like, 10 years ago rusty) on Linux/C++. I do however own a web hosting company with several servers, 40+Mbps of very reliable bandwidth, backup generators, the works. Don't forget to vote for DTC on Cryptsy! https://cryptsy.freshdesk.com/support/discussions/topics/41704do you have experience with QT? Or do you want to work with external applications for Datacoin? No experience with QT, but like I said, I do have access to a pretty nice colocation facility with plenty of bandwidth. Ah, great, so can I ask you for any help if we need to host some resources and applications? Absolutely, just send me a PM.

Sorry for the noob question, but I've read through alot of posts and still not exactly sure how this stake thing works.
I have ~10billion CENT on Cryptsy. How exactly do I "stake" my coins to earn more? I realize at this point I probably need to wait until after Jan 8.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Advice on case for new mining rig
|
on: January 03, 2014, 04:39:04 PM

OK, so I'm finally building a mining rig. Hopefully the first of many. I have 4x Radeon 7950's on order and should be here any day.
I'd like to get the cards installed in a normal server/mid-tower chassis but having a hard time figuring out which case/chassis I need that will fit four cards in it. I want my rig(s) mounted in a standard 19-inch rack, hopefully 4U or at most 5U for each 4-5 GPU rig.
Yes, I know, open-air PVC pipe rigs are what everyone's building. I don't want that. I am confident the cards will stay plenty cool with the proper air flow. These are going into a colocation facility where the ambient air is kept at 17-18*C, raised subfloor with AC vents blowing into the cabinets.
Anyone with experience in a good chassis/case to use here?

Always funny how so many cry about how their coin is dying within hours of showing up on exchanges. I guess it's part of the "instant-gratification" mindset so many people seem to have nowadays. Sure we'd like to sell our MEOW at 100 or even 500 Satoshi but it's just silly to expect that to happen straight away on a coin like this.
We are barely 10 hours in, folks. Half the world has been sleeping all this time; the sun is just now coming up on the U.S. west coast. Sell if you want, more for me to buy. You'll be kicking yourself by this time next week.

~480khash right now while working, ~650khash at night
I use two separate .bat files for mining, one lower speed that doesn't slam my card so hard so I can still work while mining, the other pushes it to the max
I have 4x 7950's on the way, should get me up to ~2.5Mhash soon
I wouldn't worry much about scrypt ASIC miners. There's only two companies developing, both look a little shady and their prices are only modestly better than just building your own rig out of AMD GPU's. They do consume significantly less power though, so that is a plus.
But . . . both are probably 8-10 months away from shipment, and it's likely better GPU's will be available by then making their ASIC's overpriced/underpowered before they are even released.

He's been sick he even posted that in this thread. I've been helping out- we got a working OSX 10.7+ wallet working and a logo contest in progress without the main dev even being available.
Yes, I do remember him mentioning he was sick, I guess I thought that was several days ago (maybe it was . . . hell I've slept since then I don't remember). I do hope he gets to feeling better. I'll help any way I can. I'm a seasoned Windows/.Net/MSSQL developer but pretty rusty (like 10 years ago rusty) on Linux and C++. And I pretty much such at graphic design. But I do own a web hosting company with several servers, 40+MBps dedicated bandwidth, backup generators, the works.
