Where did you set the voltages/clocks? Claymore, Wattman?
Claymore. Wattman behaved similar: after crash Wattman restored the defaults and after that the AMD driver completely ignored anything I set in the wattman application profile or Claymore. How about MSI Afterburner of Sapphire Trixx?

Their behavior is not exclusive to VTC. Exactly the same scenario happened with DOGE. I had my deposit stuck in no man's land for 48 hours, time enough for the selet few to pump the market and dump their coins. By the time they have unlocked my deposit and credited my account, the market crashed by about 50%.
Good inside job.

Quote from Gridseed email: "Due to our limited manufacturing ability and high domestic demands, we only take oversea order over 200 units, The price is as following:
200-999 units: 160 USD/unit 1000+ units: 155 USD/unit
Payment before Shipment. Moreover, you probably need a controller to get the devices going, we suggest you purchase 1 controller for every 15 devices. The price of each controller is 60 USD. For details of controller, please see http://www.diginforce.com/goods.php?id=37: "Small chance, but hope you do better. Depending on your final price, I'm in for 1 of 2 LA3M.

Don't want to change the subject, I advise any prospective buyer to use escrow and mainly to use common sense.
I do have a separate point though: price/profitability. I know you guys are mining just for the sake of the network and in "ars gratia artis" terms. But these will never break even mining at 3Mh with 90W power consumption, at 0,1$/KW, which are all very optimistic. And don't tell me you will be also mining SHA, because at that hash/power consumption it will lose you money from day one. At a 3% difficulty increase you will be 1500$ in the red after ~500days. Do you need to wait that long to find out you've lost 1500$?
And we all know that once ASICS get in, the diff will explode. Bitcoin has about 25-30% steady diff increase. But the first Bitcoin ASICS, whoever got them first were sold at a price that could be recouped in 30 days or less. Gridseed, as it is priced right now does not break even!
My point and message to you, seeds is that your price is too high. Especially in the current Crypto market. Please price it at a level at which the miners can make a buck, at least a small one. I'd buy if this would have a max 90 days breakeven time.
maybe but... I for one, have free power...also, your basing this on no increase in coin value. If alt coins balance out in the future, with ltc generated at 5x the coins of btc, ltc may eventually reach 1/5 btc value. either way, this 'could' easily make a profit in the future. I've heard this argument before. Fact is bitcoin is almost exclusively the gateway to fiat. And everyboy is paid in fiat. Nobody is buying Litecoin to go to buy stuff online. Litecoin will need to have acceptance as a payment medium greater than Bitcoin for your scenario to happen. I say greater because bitcoin was first and has the media attention. To reach value parity to Bitcoin, Litecoin will need to catch up and overtake Bitcoin in media coverage and acceptance as a payment method. The sad news is that litecoin is not bitcoin. Look at the LTC/BTC exchange rate and correlate that with the downs in the crypto market to understand that. Everyone is basing their investment decisions on the bitcoin history repeating: ASICS get in, diff increases, coin value increases. Well, everybody acts on this hypothesis. There is no payback in going with the crowd. The profit is for those that are already there.

Lets figure something out. Message me If you can get these into the US. Despite them not being certified i will buy one Even at 6000$, 1Th, 900W and 25% difficulty increase, this will never break even. What am I missing?

If scrypt ASICs are available, then it is not the end for GPUs. It is the end of profit mining of scrypt coins. I hope people get scared of those ASICS and I can buy GPUs for cheap, though. Do those mine Protoshares, MemoryCoin, Quark based coins, Vertcoin or Maxcoin? It's even ironic that the most money I ever made coin mining in 24h was with an Nvidia GTX760 and Amazon EC2 instances. Chill, the guy is a troll trying to cash in on the launch of the Chinese ASICS. See my post above. Also, he did not have any stock. Not sure if actually trying to scam some unsuspectnig members out of their BTC/LTC

You would have tripled your initial investment from just holding the coin and selling it now. As it stands, you are still to break even.

As mentioned, this irks me. Installed Bitcoin QT, trying to run the full client to help the network/community. Been running it for 1 month and still not been able to download all blocks.
Every time my system hangs, restarts, whatever, bitcoin qt fucks up the blocks database, has to re-index it. By starting over and re-downloading it. From the fucking start. All the fucking blocks. Why the hell does it need to re-download ALL the blocks. I mean, if something went wrong, and bitcoin exited unexpectedly with an I/O error, why is it that all the blockchain database is fucked and not only the last block. People, we are in 2014, transactional databases were invented eons ago! DBase would lick this kind of database.
Every time it gets close, 12 weeks behind, it seems that the time needed to finish the fucking last weeks get exponentially longer. I got some penny payments from my pool, at my wallet address in Bitcoin QT, still not being able to view them after one month.
This is getting nowhere fast!
Sorry for the tone. I'm pissed. You could see that, right? You have a very keen perception.

Tare faza! Ti-am vazut si apreciat munca. Habar nu aveam ca esti carpato-danubiano-pontic. Cred ca daca ai fi avut resurse puteai face mult mai mult. Spor!

Is anyone else getting half of the profit amount by using Hashco? After the site got hacked I noticed a couple things that didn't inspire lots of confidence: 1. The simple but super useful Profit Diagram was removed from here: https//hashcows/profits.html RESULTS: Not Found The requested URL /profits.html was not found on this server. 2. The "Account Ledger" was moved and disabled. As a result all transparency was lost when reviewing or analyzing payouts. 3. Regardless of the profitability rate (even with recent Doge and Meow boom) a group of friends and I are still making about half the profit in a 24 hour cycle. We switched to dedicated pools as a test and noticed a considerable difference in payout after converting to BTC. Has anybody else noticed? Me too. About half the profits made from mining simple litecoin. Dunno what coins are they selecting and how they exchange, but the net result is rotten

Does anyone know why they'd be able to release a BTC+LTC asic a lot easier than an exclusive LTC asic? There is a huge arms race right now in the LTC world for the first ASIC so I don't understand why these guys wouldn't go "all in" on a LTC asic. They would be the first, and reap huge rewards for that.
As far as I know, there is a SHA component to hashing scrypt. In adition, the pin layout of the gridseed chip is identical to the second generation Avalon chip. That was cloned in China. So guess! What I don't get is why the established players: Avalon, Cointerra, KNC did not jump the script bandwagon? It was bound to happen sooner or later, and they already had most of the know how. Now it seems China has caught up and leads in this tech.

Currently I'm mining litecoin with just one card. I extensively did my homework (I don't have money to lose) and it came as a high risk, uncertain reward investment.
But I end up checking the pool and RDP to my mining computer every hour or so. It's addictive. I know I'm not making breakeven until 5-6 months form now, presuming the diff will only increase 3% per interval, which is hugely understating it. But it makes me feel involved and active.
I had a similar feeling playing ogame and checking every hour to make sure no one crashes my fleet.
If I am to add up the cost of time and expertise to that of hardware, I'm afraid mining is a net losing proposition at my scale and resources.
So, I'm guessing the buyers might also be former GPU miners trying to feel they are still in the game. The price, 40-50$ will be written off as entertainment expenses.

mi-au cerut o copie dupa factura, si vor sa platesc tva la pretul care este astazi la BTC, care e semifactiv mai mare, decat atunci cand am facut eu comanda.
Ia te uita vere! S-a adaptat vama romana la Crypto currencies. Daca vor taxa vamala in echivalent BTC, spune-le ca le platesti in BTC.
