1  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: DragonMint T1 16TH/S halongmining.com on: June 13, 2019, 09:06:04 PM
thks to all contributing to this thread(Dragonmint)  just wanted to say how overall impressed i am with these machines, purchased 2nd hand units from Pangolin a few months ago and they still running strong with Innosilicon firmware(delivered with that firmware) set to "factory default" and getting a sustained 16TH on poolin.  now considering they have been mined in china for close to a year and still running is pretty impressive considering the countless S9's D3's A3's from bitmain ive lost due to hardware faults in under 6months.

Surprised about the Innosilicon firmware.  Supposedly the components and parts are not an exact match for the early dragonmint builds.  Do your Dragonmints have an SD card port (not just the hole, but if you remove the cover, an actual flash drive slot)?

Total SCAM, i went there to Netherland in the address they put in the website and there is no office in the building with that enterprise name, keep away of this scammers.

Do you wish to list the contact information for the company and individuals you had communications.  By listing them, it will show in search engines and help prevent future victims

If only we could get another manufacturer machine burn-in and that block would be solved in no time
5  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Telegram Bot that can Monitor ANY BTC & ETH Address on: May 17, 2019, 03:31:22 PM
Any ability to add additional filters?

For example, notifications when a BTC address receives a TX larger than x?

Any more information on your services and how long you've been in business?
8  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: ckpool.org ZERO FEE SPLNS no registration mining pool US/DE/CN on: May 08, 2019, 08:47:22 PM
This is an update to my previous post. I am now up to .504TH/s hash rate.

 Smiley Dan

If you are truly only mining with only .504TH/s, that's 0.006902 BTC/yr (~$41), go to CK solo pool.

10  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [ALL SOLD] 1100w Platinum (94%) server PSUs/breakout boards w/cables on: April 12, 2019, 08:37:31 PM
Forgot to mention earlier, everything was delivered today. I seriously couldn't be happier, dealing with quake was fantastic from beginning to end. Great communication, great price, fast shipping, packaging was the best I've ever seen... Amazon ain't got shit on him. Should also mention that I paid him directly without escrow. He's a stand-up guy, no doubt.

Whenever you're ready to sell the rest of your server PSUs, hit me up.

Glad you're happy! Smiley

Apologies for digging up a really old post:

We have a significant stock of Model: PET1300-12-054NA E and would be looking to put them into service.  Could you point me towards any breakout boards or adapters for the above model.

I greatly appreciate your help and could pay you for your time.  Thanks in advance and look to hear back.

Quote
think F1 car against a pinto
Actually, more like a F1 car against a 3-legged plow horse... Current ASIC-based miners are hundred's of thousands times faster than mining BTC using GPU's.

And its far more profitable to mine altcoins with the GPUs and then sell those for bitcoin than attempting to mine bitcoin directly with GPUs.
There are plenty of pools to choose from in the Pools (Altcoins) forum area, and some even automate the selling for BTC part!

It's not a question of being "more profitable", you will never make the payment distribution list on this pool w/ GPUs
12  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: EU Mining Farm under costruction on: January 02, 2019, 10:05:16 PM
If the data center, all of the equipment, mining rigs, operations, and staff were free; a s9 needs power to be 0.083c USD (0.073EUR)/kWh or lower to break even or be profitable.

Very much support more people entering mining, but you need to re-evaluate your business plan ASAP.

If you have any questions, please contact me and I would be happy to provide more details.
13  Bitcoin / Mining software (miners) / Re: Braiins OS: open-source mining firmware [S9, T1]. New release includes AsicBoost on: December 21, 2018, 02:55:49 PM
Is there way to retain the current MAC address of the units when upgrading directly without SD card step?

UPDATE:  The MAC address stays the same; but DHCP server of my router assigns the machine a new IP.  The hostname is the same 'antMiner'; anyone come up with a solution where it will connect to the network and bind to the same IP?  (Other than assigning static IPs via the router)
14  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: US Tariff Ruling N297495 = 2.6% mandatory tariff on bitcoin mining hardware on: December 03, 2018, 02:38:29 PM
So the 25% duty has a 90 day reprieve?

No.  Duty remains for ASICs...any new duties on other goods (many are currently at 10% and were scheduled to escalate to 25% after Jan 1)

Current duties are still 25% + 2.6%
15  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Avalon 8 official specs released on: November 30, 2018, 10:04:21 PM
Canaan has released new OpenWrt and MM firmware for the A821, A841, and A851. They claim in an email (the same email that announced their flash sale) that the new firmware improves efficiency to up to 85 W per TH/s.

OpenWrt firmware

AvalonMiner 821: https://canaan.io/downloads/software/avalon821/openwrt/20181128/
AvalonMiner 841: https://canaan.io/downloads/software/avalon841/openwrt/20181128/
AvalonMiner 851: https://canaan.io/downloads/software/avalon851/openwrt/20181126/

MM firmware

AvalonMiner 821: https://canaan.io/downloads/software/avalon821/mm/2018-11-26/
AvalonMiner 841: https://canaan.io/downloads/software/avalon841/mm/2018-11-26/
AvalonMiner 851: https://canaan.io/downloads/software/avalon851/mm/2018-11-26/

There is no changelog for the OpenWrt firmware at the time of writing.

The changelog for the MM firmware simply states "support for low power."

Anyone report any changes to hashrate w/ the new firmware?  Despite Bitmain using "Low Power Mode" as code for ASICBoost, Canaan's latest firmware is just voltage optimizations, correct?

Anyone else see any difference in running the latest Innosilicon firmware for the T1 compared to CK's version?

Ramping up just fine with new address on the new firmware.

Did you take a electricity draw measurement yet on the new ASICBoost s9 firmware?
