FINAL BTCD STAKER DIVS: 197 BTCD have been paid for for successfully staking blocks 1157380-1288414

In terms of Weeks, we made it to number 69 of dividend payments.  Thanks again to all BitcoinDark Stakers for securing the network and MMBTCD for donating a portion of profits.

More news will be forthcoming about the future of MMBTCD.

Hey guys, good news and bad news.

Sasha sent the BTCD Staker Divs, so I'll be paying those out very soon.

Sadly, due to lack of time (Me, Cassius, and Sasha all have other projects) and the situation with BTCD, we will be winding up MMBTCD, which means no more Staker Divs after these last payments go out.

New Poll Concerning the future direction of BTCD. Please Vote.

Also, please no not ask me my personal opinion about the matter.  This vote is for the community to decide.

Lastly, concerning BTCD Staker Divs, please relax, they will be paid out when I receive them from Sasha.  Staker Divs are a gift from MMBTCD, and were intended as a token of good faith to those securing the BitcoinDark blockchain and they will be paid out.  Sasha and i have both been extremely busy lately, but it will happen  Wink

Azeh, will that the last time for dividents or you will continue as long as we stake BTCD?

I also agree that it is too late for voting.

I'm not sure if it will be the last time for dividends. We've had a good run 1+ years of divs. Me, Cassius, and Sasha will have to meet and discuss the future of MMBTCD and BTCD Staker Divs.

Hey guys, I just put this vote up because James asked me to do it. Please don't blame me for whether or not the vote should have taken place before the announcement. It wasn't my decision.

Week 56: 15 BTCD have been paid to 681 unique BitcoinDark addresses for successfully staking blocks 1146608-1157379

I will be away for a month so no staker divs during this time.  Do not panic, all dividend payments will be made for the staked blocks so keep staking in order to receive payment.

Huh How was your vacation?

Sasha, the founder of WAVES, has to pay me the Divs to then pay out Staker Divs.  He is swamped with Waves stuff and Staker divs are low on his list of priorities. When he sends me the BTCD, staker divs will go out.

Hi OP,
I just confirm a bug on ICO website, please double check code "MVP Affiliate program"

<a href="https://mvplineup.com/?ref=PM.coins"><img src="/src/assets/img/banners/mvp-dice-120x240.svg" /></a>
I think the banner is not working / broken, If a direct link to the img src
Link reff/affiliate is OK, but banner is broken

Maybe it would work if the code is added to the link: https://mvplineup.com
And the full code should:
<a href="https://mvplineup.com/?ref=PM.coins"><img src="https://mvplineup.com/src/assets/img/banners/mvp-dice-300x250.svg"/></a>

Sorry if I am mistake  Wink

code looks fine, as long as the file live in that source directory
Are you sure, i am testing on Blogspot banner code not working Shocked

@PM.coins:Thanks for letting us know. m19, our front end dev is on holiday until Sept 1st, but I'll let him know and he'll look into when it gets a chance

Yes, the MVP Tokens will entitle holders to dividends from MVPLINEUP profit, and the tokens issued represent 20%.  Additionally, MVP TOKENS will be tradeable on MVPLINEUP and on the WAVES platform when it is ready.

will they be tradable on other exchanges like poloniex?

Good question.  This is something I can't guarantee as it would depend on the MVP Waves asset being listed on Poloniex.  That being said, NXT assets are on Polo (MMNXT and UNITY) and my understanding as that the Waves asset exchange will be similar.

So in short, I don't know for certain, but it is likely a possibility.

I can't deposit WAVES.
I'm trying to send them from bittrex but getting this message:
Address: 1W3PCWPJZVxYc3V7CpQYonwqBGLySSqRpWYHz
The address you submitted is not valid for the WAVES network. Cancel this withdrawal and resubmit it.

Delete "1W" from the address when sending from Bittrex.  Bittrex adds it in automatically.

Do a test transfer first before sending the full amount. Wink

Great updates!  The dice game plays great now.

15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: May 21, 2016, 09:09:42 AM
David,

I am 100% behind your decisions and I think you've made the right call on the issue of not forcing a vote on setting aside funds.  However, I must ask that we please consider at least having a short-term period of accepting donations for the foundation post-launch to a foundation address before assessing community health and making any broader decisions regarding the direction of iota.

My few reasons are simple and all of which come from the fickle, relative nature of people when it comes to making pledge commitments.

Specifically, without a place to send funds someone can make a pledge to offer X but, as time goes on, they may forget to make that donation or change their mind on how much they prefer to actually contribute.  Even general life circumstances may occur that cause them to backtrack on their decision once it's time to contribute.  Ethics aside, this type of behavior will happen and we can't count on those iotas until they materialize.

Furthermore, since many people did offer a verbal agreement to the foundation months ago, they may have checked-out and might not come back for a few months.  These people may stand by their commitments but we can't count/expect their iotas if they aren't going to make a deposit for 4-6 months after launch.

Conversely, I think it's easier for the community to rally together when we are seeing concrete goals being met.  Yes, Yassin has been doing a stellar job running a spreadsheet with updated pledged totals for the foundation and the deal but those are just numbers on a sheet until they materialize and, for many, that's not motivating.  However, if we see the actual fund accumulating we can work together and strategize ways to increase real contributions if we are coming up short.

You can't count the funds you have until you actually have them.  For many reasons, earmarked funds may not materialize because we are relying on to many people to step-up to their promises they've made more than a month ago.  In fact, considerable research has shown that in pledge-drives most funds are sent immediately after the drive.  However, the funds that are not quickly sent after the pledge is made (within, say, 1 week) are very-likely to never materialize.  An entire campaign could have tremendous success in the short-term.  However, if people have to wait to long to fulfill their committed funds, statistically, they will not materialize.

I've been a part of organizations that have had pledge-drives, I've seen this in action and their is plenty of research on the topic.  The best way to bring in the money is to have a way for the people to get the funds to you ASAP.  Don't COUNT promises until you see them in the bank.  Anything that materializes "later" 1+ months after the pledge, should be considered "icing on the cake" because if people don't fulfill their commitments immediately, they simply won't.

Crypto-tokens/iota is a different beast but human psychology is still the same.  We will probably be in a better place post-launch considering the anticipation of iotas, but even if we get a 5% commitment before launch, I'd be shocked to see 75% of those funders pay up.

Ok, that's my $.02.  I respect your decisions but I think what I'm outlining is a bit of wisdom based on experience.

RLH, I strongly agree with your assessment. You've elucidated my thoughts exactly and it put it much better than I could have.  David, please take RLH's wise words into consideration.

Just to address this for the infinith time:

As the leader of the project I accept wholeheartedly that any frustration will be directed at me, that is inevitable and fair. If the criticism is based on reality or the questions are legit, I will answer respectfully. However, when you are seeing me tell someone to 'fuck off' or 'shut up' it is unequivocally due to that person either being a confirmed troll, a speculator concerned about speculator issues, or someone who is asking the same question for the 10th time that has been responded to him. I will never change when it comes to being brutally honest, it's just who I am and will always be. I never run into drama with legit honest people, or in business negotiations or in assisting someone who just genuinely don't know what to do, but I don't care about dishonest people. When someone claims that we are blackmailing (yes they used this exact word) when we tell them that they should test the software they bought to help push launch faster instead of complaining about something they can actively do something about, I will obviously tell them to stop wasting my time. But even in those instances I take the time to write a relatively long post explaining everything, which I have done at least 10 times.

GUI

I presume everyone knows the basic story of GUI by now, we hired 3 professionals with incredible portfolios; 1 disappeared before we even got to working, 1 team (creativedash) lost their developer in the middle of the job, then refused to honor the full agreement and acted the most unprofessional I have ever seen, 1 dev who had worked for several major companies like Motorola, Four Seasons hotels etc. literally had am mental breakdown and threatened us with all sorts of insane shit if we didn't just let him take the money "because my life is hard" after lying chronically for weeks about working, when in reality he wasn't. I had to threaten him with legal action to get him to refund the money. Then we started using Wesley, our previous collaborator from Nxt, what we did not know was that due to personal issues in his life, he was way, way slower than we had ever anticipated and he went weeks above his own estimate. BUT it's still being worked on and will be done at 0.9.4 launch. By now we also got iOS and Android client due to our great community member Adrian. So re: GUI, no problems

New website

We have hired a really great team (finally a reliable one) that is making a brand new website for us which will visually show the IOTA ecosystem in the Internet-of-Things and give a "woah" factor for everyone new to the project. It will be launched right before launch of IOTA.

State of IOTA

IOTA development is going swimmingly, we had to do a fuckton of analysis which required a lot of computational power. The community came together and lent their idle cores (this is actually what IOTA was made for, distributed shared computing, so poetically beautiful) and we used AWS for the rest. This process is soon done, and once it is 0.9.4 will be done.
Also please do not forget that IOTA has been in testing and optimization since January, what we have now is several fold better than what we had in January, there has been no break in progress whatsoever. Not only that, but we also have another great community member - Tomer Krisi - who is developing the C# client so that we'll have both Java and C# around launch. Next up is C and Rust.

Thanks for the excellent update David

I don't feel like reading all the other pages full of nonsense, can anyone do a short summary of IOTA's status?

testing went fine so far with 0.93 and now everyone is waiting for 0.94

in terms of GUI not much news, so far we are using the minimal GUI from cfb

What is the state of the GUI?  Has it been scrapped?

To be fair to a lot of people in the community are not technically inclined enough to feel confident testing.  My understanding was while the GUI was not promised at the beginning it was asked for by the community with the purpose to help the less technically inclined participate in testing.
