Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin finally legal in India
|
on: July 17, 2017, 05:15:24 PM

India is very big country, population is also high.Over the past few years, despite the lack of regulations in the Indian digital currency industry, a few Bitcoin exchanges have sprung up and started operating with self-regulated trading platforms with strict Know Your Customer (KYC) and anti-money laundering systems in place. These include startups like Zebpay, Coinsecure and Unocoin.india accepting bitcoin is good news.

Economy / Speculation / Re: Aug 1st?

here is a lot of confusion on “what is going to happen on August 1st?”. Just to clarify, it is not yet confirmed that Bitcoin will split in two on 1st August. There are series of events that will finally decide the fork.Bitcoin network is designed in such a way that it caps the amount of information on its network, meaning the information in each block in blockchain. This was proposed initially to protect it from cyber attacks. Hence, there is a restricted amount of transactions it can process which we call as Block Size Limit.

No, We can trust banks. Only point would be we need to accept their terms and conditions. Nowadays banks also have eased their norms and they have a changed a lot in their way of functioning. They are more customer focused now.

Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Suddenly, Bitcoin to Be Officially Legal in India
|
on: July 08, 2017, 03:20:27 PM
|
As India has just started moving towards digitization and also promoting more usage of online transactions, government has given a thought whether bitcoin can be declared legal or not keeping in mind its popularity in the present market. It can take another 3-4 years for government to decide on and various pros/cons needs to be considered.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KURT] KURRENT - First Zerocoin that uses X11 algorithm

so we are going according to the roadmap so far... I see next stop is automatic untraceble transactions? what does it mean?
At this time you can use zerocoin to hide the trace. Basically you need to mint zerocoins, then spend them to generate Kurrents with no traces to your previous addresses. Then you can send these Kurrents to somewhere. Instead of doing these manually, we can do this in an automatic way so the transaction will automatically hide the traces. We may not do all the work in order, we will pick the important ones first. We saw several people suggested the smart contracts, we are investigating it. Should it be possible within our time frame and efforts, we will put it as a priority item. Please make suggestions if you want new features, or have ideas. The dev team is fully committed to support the coin with new features and make it better.

Hello, Please understand that this is only a beginning of our journey. We have longterm plans for this project, if you are looking for a quick pump and dump coin that is not us. We are starting from scratch and there is no rush in here, we just want to make a good product. Currently we are working on wallet look as we place big importance to project's design. Here you can see sample of wallet's view: From other new things, we finally got us a block explorer, we have 2 additional mining pools (4 in total), we should be listed on Nova Exchange soon (thanks to Saracenis for organizing this) and we applied for Yobit, so according to their policy we should be added within 4-7 business days. I think its pretty good for a 4-day-old coin and I hope that above information will please you for now. Thanks for your trust and patience. Best Regards dzejmsdin Proof that you applied to YOLOBIT....... I already asked for proof but apparently some people were angry that I would ask for such a thing....... I was not angry, just said that I don't see a reason why they should give us a proof... but... as you whish... devs! give us the proof ;-) I applied a few days ago, I did not get a reply, it says 4-7 days, so let's be patient...

There seems an issue on the zerocoin tab, mintzerocoin button. It does not work. The mintzerocoin function works as I can do it in the Console window by typing the command directly. But "mintzerocoin" button always give me error. And with more testing, it seems that "mintzerocoin" button actually does the "spendzerocoin" function. Dev please check and fix.
Thanks for reporting the issue. Somehow one function call is messed up. I fixed the issue now and updated the github. For those who want to mint zerocoin, please use the Console Window to do so. At console window, just type "mintzerocoin amount". To spend zerocoin you can use UI or command line to do it, both will work. Updated windows/mac wallet will be provided later. Not mandatory for upgrade.
