If you have had your eye on the top cryptos and ICOs, then you probably have had your eye on Ether.
If you have had your eye on Ether, then you’ve probably watched Ether’s value relative to Bitcoin plummet after Ether reached its all time high this summer (as a general trend).
That, if you are even remotely normal, probably has you either filled with regrets or has you shifting your investable funds over to BTC.

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How risky to invest in cryptocurrency?
|
on: July 01, 2018, 06:17:36 PM

From my personal experience the following the are risks I have come across across :
risk to total loss due to your exchange account getting hacked. Therefore it is recommended that you invest in off line cold storage, instead of keeping your crypto on the exchange house network . Volatilityis part of the trading, so I won't consider it a major risk, I'll just term it high risk / high reward phenomenon . You have etherum going up by 4000% in 6 months, that's huge, but also u need to know etherum can collapse 4000% in one month (this doesn't seem likely though, at the current state, but a time might come), therefore you need to know how to take profit and not be greedy. Fear of regulation is another thing, we don't know what the government might do in the future regarding regulations (the mainstream bankers are already lobbying for regulation against it as we are seeing more and more funds moving from banks to the crypto world). But again the fear should not stop us, but be aware of it. Scam is another big issues, the chances of buying into a scam is increasing with the introduction of a lot of junk altcoins designed to steal your BTC through direct trading of BTC to those coins. Also the many iCOs enabled by ETH are a concern as they are backed up by nothing. Overall don't be greedy and be security aware! It's a dangerous terrain security wise so take all the precautions.

it's very true, i sometimes also feel saturated and tired when working on Bounty and that pissed me off is not paid in accordance with our hard work, many bitcointalk users are popping up but there is no limit on the bitcoin hunters to join the campaign that makes the participants' payments very small.

the first criteria will say you consider when choosing a bounty program is first the rating on anything bounty sites the give the ratings of bounty e.g ico bench and the numbers of participant, if the participant are vastly to much that states the rewards will be ways to small and the token allocation for any of the available option you will be interested in.l

But ever since then what i do is i share tokens into two sell a part and hold a part

Cryptocurrency!!. To me the government has just minimal control over it because a particular government is restricted to only his geographical region, which implies if a government decide against cryptocurrency others might hang out and say a No. So to me the news might be viral but the actualization is difficult to achieve

Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: hold or sale what is opinion ?

The sad truth about holding cryptocurrency is that there are a lot of very real risks. The largest of them is that you could lose your money or coin as a bountyhunter…ALL of it! Investment advisors will tell you never invest more than you can afford to lose, and that explicit warning tends to be communicated more strongly, the higher risk the investment vehicle. Ironically, these prescriptive words are usually provided as it relates the investment not working out as planned, namely, that the investment is volatile or by some rare occurrence becomes worthless.

The use of kyc(know your costumers) i dont really like the scope. Because trusting ones vital information to a project you are not 100% sure of success is too risky to embark on and even as a bountyhunter, i dont think this should be considered atall. Scams are viral and this might act as trap and opportunity to the scammers
