2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do Banks fear cryptocurrency on: July 16, 2017, 12:25:44 PM
Bitcoin is a new age more disruptive than that of today’s Internet. Disruption can be a good thing, especially when it affects banking, a failing set of business models which, for all the tweaks, have been virtually unchanged for millennia. Paradoxically, some banks are afraid of Bitcoin because it would force them to innovate.Bitcoin is but the most famous example of an emerging technology network with the potential to improve banking. It belongs to the new type of financial animal called cryptocurrencies, decentralized, secure money storage and money transfer enabled by the Internet.
3  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What does 'Pump and Dump' means in crypto trading ? on: July 16, 2017, 11:29:29 AM
Bitcoin pump and dumps work in a very simple yet straightforward manner. Pump and Dump schemes comprise of two groups of people. The first group is players who play by artificially increasing the price of the Bitcoin by endorsing or promoting it. This category of individuals spends their time finding cheap coins to purchase then wait for when they are ready for dumping and build a buzz about the coins. The process of finding and buying cheap coins can take as quick as minutes or as long as hours or even days.
4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Photos: Life inside of China’s massive and remote bitcoin mines on: July 13, 2017, 12:18:25 PM
Until now, I don't understand why the Chinese are more interested in bitcoin then other people. We need to see more of these mining farms around the world or It will be just a matter of time until we see centralization If we could call it that way. (This is valid for exchanges as well)
It might be because they get ASIC mining machines at very low prices and also their electriity charges would also be cheap. We have already seen china dominating our bitcoin environment by just dumping and then buying bitcoins at cheap price. Thanks to PBOC because since it ha regulated bitcoin exchanges, their dominance have come to an end in bitcoin community.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sending bitcoin without the miner fees ! on: July 13, 2017, 12:12:32 PM
So i was thinking if i send a bitcoin transaction without the miner fee or a very low fee what will happen ? would i get the coins back eventually ? or they will just stuck there forever ! and if that happened how to do that double spend ?
If you had done it two weeks before, then you transaction might have stuck due to large number of transactions in queue and would have taken even ten days or more to get confirmed. But now, since every one know that segwit is to be activated, transaction fee has become very low and so you would not be facing any problems if you send bitcoins with very low transaction fee and so your transaction would get confirmed very soon.
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin ending up like Yahoo in the future? on: July 13, 2017, 12:08:21 PM
Yahoo was the pioneer in browser industry but it failed to deliver new facilities to customers and so it was replaced by google. But bitcoin has all the salient features in it and th only problem it had was the high transaction fee and not it has also been solved. So bitcoin would continue to survive.
7  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Criminality and Bitcoin on: July 13, 2017, 12:00:10 PM
Bitcoin has nothing to do with increase in criminality rate.Criminality was there even before bitcoin was created. It would exist even if bitcoin dies.Criminals would love to use coins like monero ,zcash which are fully anonymous and not bitcoin which is pseudo anonymous.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: July 13, 2017, 11:50:25 AM
Even the blind can see that crypto Currency is making people millionaires all  over the world just because they present the holders of such currency with the financial freedom and opportunity to accrue large amounts of wealth base on currency investment . But my question is that, is it late to buy bitcoin? Should i wait maybe bitcoin price will decline after 1st August meeting? Please i will welcome your advice so that I can make my decision on crypto currency investment.
Most of bitcoin investors awaited eagerly for segwit activation and finally it is to be activated on august. We all saw that transaction fee started to fall down and spammers started to leave the network. But now some people have started to spread rumours that hard fork would occur and bitcoin price would crash. But i think this may be the last chance to buy cheap bitcoins before it goes to the moon.
9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: So Bitcoin is better than Gold? on: July 13, 2017, 11:38:46 AM
So Bitcoin is better than Gold? Roll Eyes
Bitcoin is far better than gold.Gold has been saved by people traditionally for centuries as an investment. But still it is not able to give huge returns like bitcoins.Just like gold, bitcoin is also secure.Gold could not be easily transported to any other parts of the world. But bitcoins could be sent to any parts of world instantly and easily.
10  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin the most popular cryptocurrency? on: July 13, 2017, 11:33:53 AM
I believe that they're popular mainly because well it was the first of all cryptocurrencies to be made. Honestly most of the other coins are scams and greedy ways that the developers make money. The only other coin I can think of that isn't a scam are dogecoins! What do you think?
Bitcoin is popular not only since it is pioneer in crypto currency, but also its decentralized nature due to which it is still uncontrolled by any governments and since ot works on an unmatchable secured block chain system.
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Energy provider in Austria accepts BTC as payment on: July 13, 2017, 11:24:44 AM
We could see such news about acceptance of bitcoin payments regularly. It seems thepioneers in different fields are ready to accept bitcoin payments. Its because being pioneer, they are able to grasp the market developments and so they see a big future in bitcoins and to face competition, they announce first about bitcoin acceptance much earlier than others.
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction cost so high? Why? on: July 13, 2017, 11:14:52 AM
Hello everyone Smiley So I was ordering a few items online from a place that accepts Bitcoin, and for an item that costs only 24 Euros, the send cost was 7 Euros! That is too high! Bitcoin transaction fees should be very minimal! Is there any way to resolve this or is this to do with the blocks filling up?
Already, transaction fee was very for bitcoin. But when network started to grow,1 MB block size was not enough to handle huge number of transactions. Also some spammers sent spam transactions to make network conjested. It resulted in huge increase in transaction fee.But now, even before segwit activation, spammers have left the network and now transaction has once again fallen down like before.
13  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is instant way to get rich ? on: July 13, 2017, 11:11:05 AM
what do you think about this topic?

Bitcoin is not a quick rich scheme. It has successfully crossed its initial eight years to reach this price of $2300 from $1.Its not a gambling scheme in which some may become rich by fortune. Also it is highly volatile. Its price increases and decreases with variation in demand for bitcoin. So over night success is not possible.
14  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are your plans with your Bitcoin? on: July 13, 2017, 11:04:40 AM
I will never convert my Bitcoin into fiat again, because it makes no sense at all. Bitcoin is sound money, not subject to centralized control and inflationary devaluation. Fiat money is a debt-based scam, fully exposed to the lunacy of monetary policy by central banks and fully exposed to capital restrictions by governmental control freaks. So, Bitcoin is simply a vastly superior form money. Anyone converting Bitcoin to fiat is out of his/her mind.

I hold my Bitcoin to spend them on my future necessities. I really hope that there will be an increasing number of businesses that will accept Bitcoin directly - which means without intermediary fiat conversion. That would be the precondition for me to pay with Bitcoin.

I too would take the same decision.I would just store my bitcoin since its price would increase more in future.I could not find any other investment which would give such high returns like bitcoin. It would be better if we could pay in bitcoin itself for all services without converting it into fiat.
15  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can the Most Powerful Computer on Earth Hack Bitcoin? on: July 13, 2017, 10:54:28 AM
I think its now impossible to do so.But when quantum computing would be introduced after twenty years, then bitcoin's security might be compromised and bitcoin might get worthless. But we may expect that some precautions might be taken much before such disasters occur.
16  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How strong is Bitcoin compared to others cyptocurrency? on: July 13, 2017, 10:50:37 AM
Hi Everyone,

I am new and doing research on Bitcoin and some other cyptocurrencies. Just wondering if i were to invest, will Bitcoin be one of the safest to dump my money into?

Thanks and hope to hear your opionion soon people! Smiley
Yes.Out of all crypto currencies, bitcoin is the pioneer. It works on a secured block chain system. It is a decentralized currency and so it could not be controlled by any banks or governments. It has investors world wide and it is even legalized in japan. Its price is expected to rise high after segwit activation. So it could be bought with confidence.
17  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we push the actual use of Bitcoin ? on: July 13, 2017, 04:00:27 AM
First we should start from the basic. We should approach retailers and explain them the advantages of accepting bitcoin payments. They should be explained that payments made once in bitcoins could not be reversed. Also,we should tell them that japan has legalized bitcoins and more countries are getting ready to legalize bitcoins.
18  Economy / Economics / Re: Your plans for 1st august? on: July 13, 2017, 03:56:08 AM
What are your plans currently and what are you planning to do before this date? sell everything? hodl no matter what? maybe try to profit from a chain split? I'm personally still confused and I'm not sure what to do, I prefer waiting to see what is the standpoint of more exchanges and services.
Since we could not predict exactly what would happen after august 1st,i have decided to just wait and watch. Most of people say that bitcoin price would increase high while few people spread news that hard fork will occur and bitcoin would crash down.18 more days for segwit. So i am keenly watching the situation.
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC will be back in $1,000 ? on: July 13, 2017, 01:40:25 AM
So...The price is moving around $2,400 now-a-days and dropped from $3,000 & What about the future...Is going down to $1K maybe! Cry

I had received over $5K bitcoin payments and the price dropped within short-time its a massive drop and I'm under a huge loss. What to do I don't know.
Its been risky to receive payments in Bitcoin now. The price may drop more and make you beggar overnight.   Undecided

Volatility is the main nature of bitcoin. But bitcoin has investors spread world wide now.We could see there is always a huge demand for bitcoins. So,in today's condition,i think its hardly impossible for bitcoin to return to $1000.Instead,after segwit activation,it may increase more in price.
20  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hold... Hold.... Hold.... Do not sell everything on: July 13, 2017, 01:34:53 AM
meh, the panic sellers never listen and the higher we go it seems like it becomes easier to shake them out and take a big profit.

and times like this is the perfect time for people with my strategy.
what i do is buying bitcoin each month or couple of weeks or so whenever i have money. and at times like this where there is a big rise i wait till the panic sellers panic and buy all their coins cheap Cheesy
Thats really a great idea.Panic sellers would be always available in the market. So just making use of the situation and buying cheap bitcoins is a good idea.Instead of shouting at panic sellers,i am also going to follow this idea from now.
