Iv been watching the hash rate closely, shouldn't current difficulty have come down by now? It's been sitting around 3.3million for nerly 2 weeks. I added the red line to indicate current hashrates (Guess work but its not far wrong) Shouldnt it look more like this?

I don't think a 5000 darkcoin buy warrants conspiracy theory's lol
Although instantx testing has been stopped while other issues are being seen to, strange time to buy but who cares?
5000 dark = $12300?
F all really.

Why would you want to see a large portion of coins parked on Mintpal? It's just available supply that could be sold at anytime. Just curious where you are going with this. Im just saying, he is gathering more and more rather than just selling and staying in btc.

We have eCash now, why not send emails to merchants that accept darkcoin and ask them to enable gpg email.
This will allow us to buy things and have them shipped totally anonymous.
Once people see us buying things totally anon, people will come running!
How would a gpg mail help you to ship anonymously ? Each merchant has to comply with local laws. And to ship something, ithere has to be some name and some address, right ? You send your address with gpg, they then ship to that address. Like silk road.

Its fucking genius
It's not fucking genius. It's potential f*cking suicide if not thought through in great detail. Money and utility are two mutually exclusive services. You can't just stumble into a policy like this without addressing that fundamental dichotomy and work out exactly how your going to resolve it. If demand for masternodes goes through the roof because of ROI then the coin may go out of circulation, or at least will derive all its value from a single revenue stream as opposed to a diverse micro economy. Then, along comes competition - not for the cryptocurrency but for the Dark TOR service and bang goes your revenue stream and along with it your entire cryptocurency. On the other hand, the service aspect of the coin could act as a bootstrap mechanism in giving real value to the currency and propelling it into wider adoption and circulation....IF the fundamental dichotomy above (between monetary value and utility value) is recognised and highly controlled. For my own part, I'm very clear. I'm investing in a currency, not an internet service provider of which there are thousands. Nor am I investing in a f*cking business. The more utility value a currency has, the less monetary value it can have. Nothing can get round that fundamental fact and people need to have it in big neon lights in front of their noses before getting dollar signs in their eyes. Interesting info for sure. Definitely something to take into consideration. I think the internet access is more to allow darkcoin users to interact. After all how can you anonymously send DRK across the country without being able to first give the other person your wallet address? If you just emailed your wallet address then you've totally blown any chance of being anonymous. Access to an anonymous internet allows that communication. "If demand for masternodes goes through the roof because of ROI then the coin may go out of circulation, or at least will derive all its value from a single revenue stream as opposed to a diverse micro economy. Then, along comes competition - not for the cryptocurrency but for the Dark TOR service and bang goes your revenue stream and along with it your entire cryptocurency." Your saying that deflation causes a currency to collapse. Id say this is wrong. 1 Darkcoin is 100,000,000 duffs. That's allot of 0s we have to get down to for darkcoin to deflate to much. This isn't a problem imo. More masternodes = more decentralization = more trust = more value.

The hole crypto market is entering a dificult fase,New York regulation as they want to controle the crypto market has many bad things proposed, there are people willing to close there miningpool and what not,all this fear will drag the price down off all coins and i'm sure when the regulation starts the bad news for the crypto eco system will start and people convert to fiat again,i believe this will be also the abbused reason to drag the prices down even further to the lowest we have ever seen after November 2013. Crypto will take a big hit but will survive as always,i say get your fiat ready and buy BTC low in a few months from now, sell anything in your house you can live without and safe the money for the biggest drop we have ever seen!
Thing is crypto was invented to take on people like BL and the system he represents. Do you really believe one state in one country(a dying country) will have such a devastating effect on crypto? I'm ready and waiting to catch the knife if bitcoin goes bellow $300. Anyway Dark solves the problem. It will be worked around, just like most regulations.

Hey, can somebody tell me why Darkcoin is losing so much in value? Is darksend not working?
No reason, darksend+ works fine. 8 rounds of denomination on 300 coins.

My theory as to what is going on.
A certain, "Founder" other than Evan who hasn't been heard from for a long time got his panties in a wad over something. Thus Evan alluding to knowing there were, "Weak hands".
Errm, i dunno. What if that is completely wrong and all is good?

Hello Everyone,
I'm going to move on to RC5 and other unique features of Darkcoin that we've had in the works for awhile (I'm going to wait till all of the weak hands have left the building then I have some really cool stuff to announce).
-Evan
I think that all week hands are gone ! I'm pretty sure a few strong hands sold too! I agree. I don't mean to criticize because Evan has done an amazing job, but in my opinion a comment like that is borderline irresponsible. At least say "we'll make an announcement once things settle down in a few days" or something like that. Basically saying that you're withholding information in order to force "bad" people to sell? I don't know, it leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Then again, maybe he knows something we don't. Perhaps there's a particular one or group of "weak hands" who are causing real issues. Your correct on both imo.

I think the weak hands have all cashed out now, bottom was 0.005 BTC and trend reversal has kicked in. Not 100% sure, but fairly confident. This is where I start accumulating more DRK, just freed up 10 BTC. Price is likely to receive a further boost after Evan announces plan RC5 and beyond. I expect this will happen tomorrow, since he has probably taken the weekend off after all the hard work.
I damn well hope he doesn't announce anything until Tuesday, EVAN IF YOU READ THIS...GO TAKE ANOTHER FEW DAYS OFF I need to get another 2x MN under my belt! Just need my btc to clear over the weekend! Should we create a "Take a few more days off Evan" fund to pay for Evan to have an extended holiday? I will donate... I do think Evan made a mistake after RC4 release. Where I think it's fine to focus on coding and leave communication as a second priority, especially before final release, I think he should have spent a few days on the forums for many hours a day after RC4 release. This is new technology, with many people having questions on how everything works and many people having minor issues. Evan should have been posting like a mad man to inform and help people, and to defend his system. This would have easily stopped the price decline, and possibly would have increased it (although we arguably want a price decline to lose the weak hands). Of course we have Eltito for this, but I have the feeling that he is not very motivated to put in to much work for this project (for whatever reason... possibly doesn't own enough DRK). It just seems wrong that everyone has questions on how things are supposed to work, with no one from the team being here to explain it to us. You are mostly right. But I also see it as an issue of Darkcointalk vs. Bitcointalk vs. IRC. There are lots of people discussing lots of things. Darkcointalk has a lot more support and discussion. Many people won't use Darkcointalk. I won't use it because I don't think we are done with Bitcointalk at the moment. However, those that can help won't use Bitcointalk because of the trolling that goes on, and the ads that pop-up for xyz shitcoin. edit. I think the recent price decline is a factor of Darkcointalk vs. Bitcointalk. I think I was right in my analysis that we are not ready to move 100% to Darkcointalk. If people think we are, then this thread needs to be locked. DRK lovers use darkcointalk. Polls they are fully invested in drk. Rest of the crypto world uses bitcointalk. This place is terrible for drk and needs Evan to pop in more often and shed some light. Eltito not good enough sorry Yes, eltito should show his face more

This is not trolling or bad mouthing another coin...I'm interested to know what happened with xmr? Why is it down to Nr58?
I have a few xmr and I wasn't keeping tabs on it while travelling and watching DRK.....
XMR is suffering from fake support. Manipulated and propped up by Poloniex. Did your coins denominate?
