1  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price raised by $1000 within one hour. Is it a good signal? on: April 25, 2018, 02:30:22 AM
this is more like a good sign than a good signal.
I have never been a great trader, but I know the difference between a signal and a sign.  My opinion is that what we're seeing right now with the price bodes well for bitcoin, and all cryptos too.  Could it be a good trading signal?  Yes, if chasing momentum is your strategy and that's actually proven to work in the short term.  Never had luck with it myself because of trigger shyness, but this is another matter.

Any huge jump is good news for bitcoin.  We have been beaten into the dirt for too long now and I, like I'm sure many others here, have been waiting with bated breath for the rise back to $20,000.  Can't wait!

I, myself, never had luck with short term trading. But I joined to the cryptocurrency world in the wrong time. It was when BTC price sky rocket last year december. Can't wait to see the rise of BTC again.

more and more ico's are not making it past private pre sale. it's a shame for us smaller investors who now have to buy at exchange launch and make the whales richer.

Totally agree. ICO by definition should be open and available for everyone to participate. People who are interested with the project but doesn't have enough money to invest as an investor, could invest through ICO. But now the definition has changed.
3  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO with proven business or ICO that start from zero? You pick! on: April 25, 2018, 02:22:51 AM
I'll pick ICO with proven business because they were already on the road to success and they have already proven that they have a good projects unlike if I will pick ICO that will start from zero it will take a long time to get establish.

Yep! The trend is changing. To find a great ICO that will bring high ROI, now we have got to do our dilligence more. To many scams out there.
4  Economy / Speculation / Bitcoin price raised by $1000 within one hour. Is it a good signal? on: April 13, 2018, 02:26:59 AM
As we all know that all other cryptocurrencies prices tend to follow the fluctuation of Bitcoin. Today morning BTC price went up by $1000 only just within an hour. It's been a while since this big jumps. What do you guys think? Is it a good signal for all of us?  Cheesy

5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO with proven business or ICO that start from zero? You pick! on: April 13, 2018, 02:22:51 AM
Investing in ICO that has a proven business because
we know that there makes the project there to be a success in the future
and there is less chance that it will turn into a fraud unlike the ICO that will start.

Yep! With ICO that backed up with proven business have its physical company, they are more reliable and less likely to be a fraud to maintain their reputation.

7  Other / Politics & Society / Global Fin-tech & Blockchain Summit in China was canceled yesterday. Why?? on: April 13, 2018, 01:27:40 AM

Global Fintech & Blockchain China Summit 2018 that was organized by PTP International was canceled. It is said that investors who invested in the ICO and lost a large amount of money reported the event to the police. It was so sad that such a big event that can benefit lots of people was closed without any prior notice. China's Movement about blockchain is getting more and more aggressive and some conference like this is very much needed to educate people.

Well I like telegram but i can say about TON that this is not real ICO because you can't participate it if you don't have a lot of money. So real people and investors can't participate it and this is ruin general idea of ICO like : crowdfunding and every one who has 50$ or more can feel like they real investors.
Telegram it's not ICO I think it's just selling some coins to big money bags.  1.8 billions it's real to high for any ICO . 18 millions that raised Ethereum in 2016 looks like so small now...

You're absolutely correct. The benefit of ICO is that everyone can contribute. Everyone can participate. If ICO projects make a really high participation standard, it has lost its meaning.

You should pick based on the company's celebrity endorsements. Wink Wink Wink

Really though, RadioYo had the opportunity to have a celebrity endorser for our ICO but we decided against it.  All we have is a working product w/users, kick ass developers and the desire to see financial payments made via a smart contract to everyone involved in the making and recording of podcasts from developers, podcasters, listeners, service providers and advertisers.

Cheers...

Hello fellow community members,

Recently I saw lots of people announcing new altcoins. They're planning to launch ICO soon. But I was wondering if we should invest in ICO with proven business which will reduce the risk of our investment or go big with ICO project that we believe in but it starts from zero?

The trend of ICO is everywhere and lots of SCAMS is happening. Therefore, viewing ICO from risk management perspective is also important. What do you guys think?

Only few companies do decide to have a crowdfunding and I do say this would be really worth to invest on since you can somehow get an assurance that you do put your money into a working company or do already exist but somehow there are ico which don't have working product but if you do able to read up some projects which do have potential then its still worth to try on and this is why every investment do have always accompanied with risk

Hey! I like the idea. Celebrity endorsements will definitely give a lot of push during the token sales period and promotion for the products. Superb!

I saw some news that says even though the volatility is so strong, but Venezuelans still turning to cryptocurrencies to store their savings. It seems a bold strategic from the Venezuelans. What do you guys think?

the
It is true that it is better to invest with a proven product or business but we should also remember that some good ideas that can contribute in crypto needs a fund. ICO is suppose to be a collection of fund to develop a certain  project. Just so happened that scammers use this process to collect money and run.

Agreed. There are many good projects out there, Visionaries who see the world differently, who solve the solution innovatively. Scammers should get out from this industry. I guess there should be some kind of prevention on letting this happen. Right?

In my honest opinion, I really think that it would be best to go on ICOs with proven businesses already just to be a bit more sure that you will get profits or good returns for your investments. But if we think about it, it really comes down to the ideology of the project itself and the developing team behind it that is shaping the project. No matter how early it is in its road map, I think that it would be able to deliver if the project itself really solves true problems and is well managed by the developers. But it still depends if you are a patient investor or not or loves a long term hold more than a short term hold because projects that do not have working products yet or businesses will take a lot of time and effort to build which means you will also have to hold long term as an investor.

Definitely! Investment is a game of patient. People with weak minds who can't see the future benefits will stop on the midway.

small investors don't have a possibility to take part in Telegram ICO so it's a kind of closed sale to big investors with millions of dollars.

It's totally a close token sale. Small investors will not be able to participate in Telegram ICO. I was wondering if Telegram will have payment features such Wechat in China. Where are you from and what's the most popular messenger chat app in your country?

Eventually, If you don't have $20Million, you can't participate in Telegram ICO. WoW!
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO with proven business or ICO that start from zero? You pick! on: April 07, 2018, 11:32:38 AM
ICO is a speculative game. Is it not a gamble to invest in ICO?
People don't like these ICO projects, they just want to win.

Gamble is betting on something that you don't know.
Invest is betting on something in something you know due to your dilligence
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / The Biggest ICO EVER? on: April 07, 2018, 11:26:06 AM
It's been a while since telegram announced that they will launch their token sales [GRAM]. It is said that this particular ICO will be a multi-billion dollar ICO for chat cryptocurrency.

Telegram plans to adopt blockchain technology in its chatting application. In the future users can bypass the remittance fee of transferring money internationally, do small-micro payment, transfer money privately, etc. Up to this day, Telegram has become the official messenger for all cryptocurrency discussion which makes it natural for them to launch their own coin and blockchain. Some cryptocurrency media said that Telegram is looking to raise $500million in pre-sale with total token value at $3billion to $5billion. Amazingly, Telegram pre-sale has ended with a total of $850million. That's a huge number!

About Telegram:
Origin: Russian
Initial release: August 2013
Founded by: Nikolai and Pavel Durov (Founders of VK)
Monthly Active Users: 200 Million
Daily Sign-up Users: 700 thousand

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Are you guys planning to join in Telegram ICO?
If you are a Russian, does telegram is the main messenger in your country like Wechat in China, KakaoTalk in Korea, and Line in Japan?
Any update you want to share, feel free to do so.
17  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO with proven business or ICO that start from zero? You pick! on: April 07, 2018, 11:00:53 AM
ICO with start from zero quite risky for me because possible those ICO would change being scam ICO eventually and i think most people want the most secure to ensure their money before investing at ICO so in this case ICO with proven business would be more safe and people will agreed about this
I also think that a proven business is much safer than an ITO from scratch. But there are times when an entirely new project, which has a good idea, but has no money for its implementation, is very interested in me. In this case, I will chat with the team and I will invest in such an ICO

I'm sure you have a great experience in investing in several ICO. Would you mind to share some of the ICO that you have invested in?

I'm ok with a fresh product as long as it fulfills my simple criteria. 1)Does it have a real world product? 2)Does it solve a legitimate problem that affects a good percentage of the population?

in any investment in ico requires experience especially basic knowledge. ico is very potential in terms of risk, so the magnitude of the risk that could be a loss to investors. because that's why research is needed from all elements, starting from their website, to the white paper then the team and roadmap. it is important to reduce the risk as you say.

Cannot agree with you more!
