81  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release July | 100% POS | New Source | IPO Started on: July 12, 2014, 07:09:29 PM
Devs, I've got a question.

Let's say I invested 10 BTC. Does it count as 13 BTC because of 30% bonus or as 10 BTC? The thing is I'm investing for me and several friends and I don't want to be refunded because of 2% limit.

With 750 BTC max cap investment limit is 15 BTC (2%). Or 15 BTC minus 30% because 30% will be added as bonus?

Devs, could you please answer this. Look at Bter, someone invested 15 BTC. Will you refund him 30% or not? How does it work?

The accounts are credited as the amount of BTC actually invested. The investment limit applies only to the amount of BTC in an individual investment as a percentage of the total BTC received. While the final distribution to an investor is calculated by adding a bonus credit of BTC to the individual investment based on the time of investment, dividing this combined figure by the sum of all investments with bonus credits, and multiplying the resulting fraction by the total Crypti distribution to investors, this is only an internal accounting method in determining the final distributions.

Refunds and limits are based solely on the BTC actually received. Please note that this means a perk of early investing is that the percentage stake of Crypti received can actually be higher than the 2% investment limit due to the bonus - theoretically as high as 2.6% if the investment were made when the bonus was at 30%.

Little announce:

In the end of week we will post new version with bug fixes, some changes.
Fees will be changed, some bugs will be fixed that we got from community.

On next week we will post version with PoS for everybody and new nodes.
Thanks.

Still no answer to my question Cryptsi:

What avatars has CRYPTSI been using on bitcointalk.org forum prior to his NEWBY "Cryptsi" avatar, obviously invented for this coin?

Without full disclosure, you guys are just another Russian Gang out to fleece the world

This is an incredibly offensive comment to make in an international forum. I have worked with many people from a lot of different countries, including Russia, in my engineering career, as well as going to school with them at a top ranking university. They have been some of the finest people I have met and worked with.

The Crypti team is working with the community and escrow providers to offer a pre-sale which provides the most safety for investors while meeting the business objective of the project - a necessity if the project is to provide a return to those who invest in it. We are fully committed to transparency and accountability both during the pre-sale and in the continued development of Crypti.

I travelled through Russia in 1989, it was a hard time for them then, I found them to be honest, hospitable and being very welcoming to strangers. They would even give you the last tot from a bottle of vodka.  Wink  You get gangs in every country.

Way to dodge the real question fellas! Misdirection is the key to any successful grift.

MEGAman, I've reviewed your post history. As a PoW miner, I suspect you have little interest in investing in a PoS type coin, and you have also shown a very abrasive personality in your posts in other threads. Any potential benefit in continued dialog with you will be in clarifying things for other potential investors. As long as we can have a civil conversation, without the profanity, demeaning tone, and lack of respect for others I have seen you use elsewhere, I am willing to answer questions and respond to constructive criticism.

Thank you for your interest in our project.

When will the beta be available?
The beta will be available by the beginning of sale.
85  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | Release June | 100% POS | New Source on: June 24, 2014, 07:18:14 AM
Few days left. There will be some benefits to early investors (please specify)?

Early investors at the beginning of sale will receive 30% increase in stake, declining to 0% bonus at end of sale.

but I don't exactly like the distribution part of it
reserving up to 8% of the coins to fund the dev would be ok

Thanks for your remarks, we are discussing this within the team.

One way to look at this is, do we ask more from investors as cash up front for development by making the pre-sale more attractive with a lower reserve for development, in which each investor is apt to receive a smaller % stake for his investment, or do we ask for less initial investment by holding a larger reserve for developers, sharing the risk with investors by relying on the asset itself to appreciate to pay for a larger portion of the development. In this case, each investor is likely to actually end up with a larger stake, since the pre-sale with increased reserve for development would attract less investment, increasing the portion an individual investor will receive.

We are looking for the best balance to both please investors and maximize the probability of the coin's long term success and appreciation in value.

We welcome open discussion with the community to achieve that balance by effectively crowd-sourcing the determination of the finalized distribution of the coin in the genesis block.

Also, in a related project, part of the Crypti team is developing a quad core ARM based Linux box for secure storage and mining of Proof-of-Stake type coins. The box is designed for always-on use with low power consumption. It uses a network interface so it can be accessed by desktop or mobile device. We have Peercoin, Litecoin, and Bitcoin running, and are adding NXT. Skycoin is also running on the unit, as it will become the CPU unit for mesh networking nodes running the Skywire protocol.

Crypti will be loaded onto the ARM based unit as well, making it a turnkey Point-of-Sale system which is easy for merchants to set up.

i would be interested in such a solution. please keep me or the "community" up to date with this development.

Thanks for the interest. We will be announcing availability of beta units for developers here on Bitcointalk pretty soon, currently testing two different quad core boards.

I am also on the development team and will be available to answer questions and respond to suggestions as they come in.

In reference to long term commitment, I am indeed a long term investor specializing in next generation crypto assets. Ignoring the post-sale bubbles when pre-sale assets start trading, I have sold very little of what I have invested in. These projects require several years to fully develop and reach their true potential value. I have no intention of selling any of my stake in Crypti for a very long time.

Trying to figure out order book from https://masterxchange.com/market.php , looks like great arbitrage opportunity, with buys all much higher than sells, and last orders at buy prices. Am I missing something or reading it wrong? Why aren't the sell orders all filled?

Guys: check out this Mastercoin price charts page somebody made: http://www.mastercoin.it/#

I can't figure out where their data is coming from though . . .

Their frequent fluctuations are probably from a Bitcoin/USD feed, which is continually adjusting the price from the most recent MSC/BTC trade. The MSC/BTC trades aren't happening nearly as frequently as one might assume watching the chart.

You'd think that many coins would be mostly stored in a cold wallet.

Is this the same Tradefortress who plastered ads all over bitcointalk claiming Ripple is a scam and operates the web site http://ripplescam.org/ ?

No, it's really to add new features to create new types of crypto assets while minimizing the overhead of make-work mining by replacing it with mining which accomplishes a useful purpose.

Hi,

I'm an established forum user meeting requirements to start posting, so I'll start with posting the planned project info, Bitseed, looking for comment. Actually, it is appropriate to start it off in the Newbies section since it is intended to be inclusive for those who missed out on the previous Cryptocurrency booms.

I'm looking at combining a funding round similar to Mastercoin-Exodus, the concept of Protoshares/Bitshares in Digital Autonomous Corporations (DACs) or decentralized applications (I call them distributed autonomous entities), and proof of stake, decentralized exchange, NXT, into a new system, Bitseed.

The funding would be an equal number of tranches, say 1000 of 1 BTC each, with a linear decrease of  Bitseed shares per tranche, 10,000 Bitseed shares for first tranche down to 10 Bitseed shares final tranche, total cap 1000 BTC for 5005000 shares. 10% additional developer shares, 500500, would also be created for a total of 5505500 initial Bitseed shares. Investors may purchase partial tranches for fractional Bitcoin. When a tranche is filled, any remaining investment is issued Bitseed shares at the exchange rate of the next tranche. I would announce a planned launch date for funding, allow presale of shares for equal distribution of shares out of initial tranches sold during presale.

My goal is to incorporate the best features of MSC, PTS, and NXT into a new system which maximizes funding for development, allows plenty of time for investors to participate at a risk level and price comfortable to them, and avoids the initial speculative bubble by providing a smooth buy-in curve. Proof of Stake mining continues the distribution and encourages participation in the network.

The Bitseed shares are used to fund new start-up DACs, allocated with stakeholders voting to approve new start-ups, start-ups exchanging shares for Bitseed shares from investors, and then Bitseed exchanging assets with the start up for shares in proportion to the amount of Bitseed invested.

The funding round and development shares are used to fund development with bounties and salaries. Governance is by proof of stake voting with proxy by stakeholders and proxy override as an option at anytime on a vote on a particular issue.
