This is what i do,
there's certainly more accurate ways to do it, but for me it works just fine.
And to be a more specific, don't forget to specify where your cgminer was, if you not run the command line from your folder:
PATHFOLDER(like c:\cgminer)\cgminer.exe -o yourpool:yourport -u yourlogin -p yourpass --scrypt -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192
For temp, i have 69-70°c

no config file, just run this : cgminer.exe -o yourpool:yourport -u yourlogin -p yourpass --scrypt -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192
and work like a charm for me, i dont set other thing like gpu engine and co
To explain a bit more what i do
Install win 8 pro
install catalyst for R9
put cgminer in my c: disk
and run the command line cgminer.exe -o yourpool:yourport -u yourlogin -p yourpass --scrypt -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192
Thats all, i cant get you more thing, i do nothing more
edit : try to disconnect all usb you have, perhaps matrox dualhead or smething like this

I get at least 1,350mhs with this
Yeah but my miner isnt even starting up? Like idk what's going on with it. I edit my previous post Try with just one pool for test, i'm running on cgminer 3.5.0 Okay sweet and is that just a exe you set up? or is that your actual config file, i though you needed all that other stuff in there right? This is just a bat file, you can run it with the run command. This is my actual config file, i just add --failover-only to add other pool, but just with it your config will be run ps : sorry for my bad english this is not my language  |

Thats low. I get 20k with 800khash. Im at fast-pool. Over 3k miners and 4-5 ghash. Strange, i'm on this pool too.. |

Hi, i have two 280x for mining, with one of them you can mine at 720k/Hs, and 1340K/hs for both
For this speed i add this command "-I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192"
