561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you regret getting involved in crypto? on: December 02, 2018, 02:52:06 PM
If there is anyone in the crypto space that is saying that cryptocurrency is not working, then he needs to check what he is doing that is not right. There are rules, processes, procedures and precautionary measures to follow while investing in cryptocurrency. If you are able to go by those rules, then you are likely to get close to or more than what you want or desire. It has been wonderful, ever since i have been in the crypto space.
562  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is crypto legal in your country? on: December 02, 2018, 02:26:21 PM
There is no law whatsoever, restricting investors from participating in ICO in my country. Although, sometimes people are warned to be care of what to invest in, because not all ICOs are genuine.
We are preparing for election in my country and the presidential candidate vying on the platform of another party, was telling electorates how the government can utilize cryptocurrency for further developmental processes.
563  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What if all the governments accept crypto? on: December 02, 2018, 02:20:07 PM
Some people who were able to take some risks, despite not having government intervention are now making it big and some have already made it big i the crypto space. Well at this time, with the incessant activities of scammers, most especially those who take people's funds, in the name of ICO, will be reduced to the barest minimum by the time government is allow to bring about regulations.
564  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: are there bounties worth paying $1000? on: December 02, 2018, 02:00:44 PM
It is not about just participating in projects that will pay individual participants thousands of dollars, but it is more of how much you can handle the tokens you are paid. I noticed that at the initial stage of receiving your reward, which are the tokens, it might nit worth such amount, but as time goes on, most especially when you are able to hold, then you are lightly to get much more than you envisage.
565  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think mining is still fair on: December 02, 2018, 01:32:15 PM
In Q3 2018 market is still a blood bath. A lot of people that involved in crypto losing theirs hopes on a quick moon. ICO market is down. But difficulty of mining is growing up. We need more powerful processors, GPU and so on. Mining was created to give ordinary people get some free coins. Another hand big companies joint into monster to dig more digital gold. Simple person is out of this business. To support a node of ethereum you need more space every month and you get no reward. Do you think its fair enough or we need some new architecture to give mining a new life?
Mining is one of the easiest and most convenient ways of earning money, but it might nit really be profitable at this time of bearish market.
Except the whole process is reviewed, most especially for individual coin, before it can be seen to be a profitable venture at this time.
For now, i will prefer to continue trading, than to keep mining what might not be profitable for me.
566  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Panic on some hodler and sellers on: December 01, 2018, 08:51:07 PM
I believe by now, panics would have reduced to the barest minimum. The market is already down, so people should not be hasty in their decisions at the moment.
Whoever panic sell, will surely do that at loss and that will not hell both the individual and the holders of such token.
Panic also does not birth anything good, rather, it brings about confusion and some other hitches that might accompany it.
567  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Early December on the crypto market. on: December 01, 2018, 08:45:33 PM
Ripple cannot maintain that position for too long. I see it as a transient coin, because everyone knows it is not a cryptocurrency. So most people have only invested i to it, because of the profit they know they will get from it, but by the time it will fall, so many people will be caught unawares. What own the crypto space, are real cryptocurrencies and ethereum is one of them.
568  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need help, actually a little guidance. on: December 01, 2018, 08:40:56 PM
All that has been mentioned is good, but you should choose the one that is most convenient for you. I think those who do not have any other work that might keep them so busy, can venture into any form of mining, since it does not require one being online in person at all times, but for trading, which i feel is the most lucrative, requires a lot of time and skill and techniques.
569  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and altcoins on: November 29, 2018, 09:31:22 PM
BTC is not doing so well lately.
Directly or indirectly, altcoins are affected too.

Nevertheless, is the downfall of Bitcoin makes any good to altcoins?
There is gradually improvement. At least, we are having some percentage increase for the past 2-3 days now.
Most of the time, if btc plummets, since most altcoins are paired with it, they also have every tendency to fall along with it. Although, there are some altcoins that, despite falling with btc, a some points, they may begin to rise, irrespective of the price of btc at that moment.
570  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will cyptocurrency never be great again as it was? on: November 29, 2018, 09:27:49 PM
There is never a form of investment that does not have its bad sides. Cryptocurrency is not ponzi, that comes, pumps and then all of a sudden disappears. Just like every other form of investment you might have been involved in, cryptocurrency has every tendency to fall, just like we are experiencing now and it will rise when the time comes. I do not expect cryptocurrency to die now.
571  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What should I go for? on: November 29, 2018, 09:23:48 PM
Identifying good ICOs at this time, might require serious serious research and your experience will be a good guide. If you are inexperienced in that,it might be difficult, because there are lots of scam ICOs and apart from that, some that are not scam might not be profitable, except you are ready to hold for long term. You would just have to learn to choose good and profitable ones.
572  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you buy new coins? on: November 29, 2018, 08:53:23 PM
I do not go about searching for top losers as announced by the different exchanges. Whenever i see a coin i like and which has great potentials, i usually take some time out to study such coin for some periods based on it's behaviour in terms of market price. Thereafter, i would much from one of its dip and set a sell order of 50% profit. I do that for most of the coins i have been buying and it works for me.
573  Other / Meta / Re: Merit points to rank up on: November 29, 2018, 08:40:47 PM
If you have been making good posts, do not be tired making more. The more the number of good posts you have, the higher your chances of getting merit.
You are just looking for one merit, you might be fortunate to have more than that at a go.
One of the clues to getting merit, is if you are able to help people on the forum to solve their problems.
What i am saying in essence is to be a problem solver.
574  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Survive on: November 27, 2018, 09:09:49 PM
In this bearish market, it’s difficult to make profits without thorough research
And almost every portfolio is negative

All I can tell is don’t dump out of fear
Survivor this period and join in packing the dips

Be greedy when others are fearful

Whoever dumps his coin reasonably at this time, might blame himself for such act. Also, whoever buys without thorough research, might also have himself to blame. Whatever you are set to buy at this time, ensure that you have take your time to monitor it first, then buy the dip.
There are some coins i have been monitoring for quite some time now and i noticed three
575  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you always invest in top ranked coins? on: November 27, 2018, 09:01:57 PM
Hi Everyone,

As advised I am trying to learn the basics of crypto first.

Most of the suggestions mention investing in top ranked coins. My question is, does it always work? As far as I understand, the market is vulnerable and affects almost all the coins from top to bottom. How then you determine which ones would stay ?

Nothing is wrong with top ranked coins, if you invest in good ones and also invest at the right time. Sometimes, you might invest in a good coin, but your timing might be wrong. Imagine someone who invests at 2 satoshi which was formerly at 1 satoshi. If the so called coin remains at that same point foe a long, without moving forward. Then doubt begins to set, most especially for short term investors.
576  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: XRP really better than ETH??? on: November 27, 2018, 08:55:19 PM
Just time will tell if XRP is really better, but for now, i believe eth is better. Each of it has its own usecase. Just as ethereum is useful to some, so also is xrp useful to others. Although, eth needs to be taken up at the stage it is now, it seriously needs more development. If it is developed, then it will not necessarily be influenced by the price of btc and it will grow in a normal way.
577  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC on: November 24, 2018, 01:17:44 PM
KYC can be complicated and at times unnecessary especially for small airdrops.
What do you think?
You have to be very careful when giving out your personal details in the name of KYC. There are scam ICOs out there, most especially airdrops. You need to be very careful, because your data might be used to perpetrate, which will get you implicated.
I also wonder sometimes how airdrop projects ask for KYC, when what they are giving out to participants is just a mere peanut.
578  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I may be wrong, thinking about the gov intervention on: November 24, 2018, 08:33:02 AM
I'm not sure, but in such a market condition, who else does agree that the government used a hidden identity and joined the crypto market to accumulate a large number of bitcoins, then sold it to affect its price? Or can the gov hires a couple well known personality to rule the every day news and kill it slowly?
The government that is out there to protect the interest of investors will not do such a thing at our detriment, of which they know if they venture into such, it will also affect them. I think there some people out there aside the government, doing everything possible to ensure that prices are brought allow. I won't be surprised to think they are doing it for their selfish interest, by peddling fake news around.
579  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to protect your altcoin on: November 24, 2018, 08:11:17 AM
What is the best methods to protect altcoin from hacker?
There are rules and precautionary measures to follow in order to ensure tgat your assets are safe. Some people make the mistake of keeping their coins on exchange, which is very wrong and by virtue of that, have lost their coins. If you are not an active trader, there is no need to do that. Even if you are a trader, try to always withdraw your profit. Any wallet you do not gave private key to, do nit save there.
580  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I think 2017 was the best Year for Crypto on: November 24, 2018, 08:04:16 AM
I got to know about cryptocurrency in 2017, before I registered on this forum. I am glad i never missed chances. I got my profit also at that time. Although, i kept some coins for another time, yet i did not regret my action. We might still have another opportunity much better that 2017, but that will depend on the price you get your coins. Which is why it is better to get in at this time, when things are much cheaper.
