1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Icyhash you scummy b*stard on: January 08, 2014, 11:45:18 PM
Do you need to create a thread?
You could at least put some information in here so others don't get scammed mining a scamcoin
Now, go invest in some pre-pre-IPO!
2  Economy / Speculation / Re: Huge money waiting below... on: January 06, 2014, 11:32:34 PM
Just because we had a bullish weekend it doesn't mean that weekends will always be like this.
The market is still very weak, volume was down, watch out for corrections
3  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-03] Indian Tax Authorities Seek Clarification on Bitcoin on: January 06, 2014, 11:28:35 PM
I just saw a post a few minutes ago saying that a new exchange will open in India because they got the approval ?!? Not sure what's going with India
As LiteCoinGuy said, happy to see BTC taxed (and recognized)
4  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-05] Litecoin 2014: Will Litecoin Overtake Bitcoin In The New Year? on: January 06, 2014, 11:24:11 PM
No it won't but with additional large exchanges adopting can certainly be useful to transfer BTC around and to edge of course.
I'd like to see LTC closer to LTC/BTC 0.1 by the end of the year and more services and shops
5  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 0/unconfirmed transaction... 0.5+ BTC up for anyone who can help me on: January 06, 2014, 11:16:25 PM
Once the transaction is broadcasted it doesn't matter what your client says.
I think you lost the sum but as others already requested please post your public key and we can check
6  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: India back in the game! on: January 06, 2014, 11:05:31 PM
hi there,

the website doesnt work here (at least for me).

can you give me a short info what / who is "BAI" and "Mr. Nishith Desai"? some more details would be very nice to get a better impression.

Same here, I don't really understand, today is ok, yesterday was banned?
What's BAI and who is Mr Bishth Desai? Anybody from India can help?
7  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: I like BFL, DO YOU ??? on: January 06, 2014, 11:00:59 PM
I love BFL because they made so bad in the last year that all the posts on this forum help me to decide to DO NOT BUY anything from them, ever.
Thank you BFL, sometimes you have company with mixed reviews and you can't decide, but in your case, it was spot on!
8  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2014-01-06] AMD acknowledges the benefits of its hardware for bitcoin mining on: January 06, 2014, 10:54:20 PM
It would be interesting if AMD started making ASICs. They have the funds, machinery, and employees to completely out compete the existing manufacturers.

They could (and probably they should!) but I think it's too early, mining is a "niche" and it's rapidly shrinking.
I'd like to know what's the percentage of GPUs used for mining against the total sold, what do you think guys? 3-5% being optimistic?
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: New ALT-COINS: some rules from the community (open proposal to talk about) on: January 06, 2014, 10:49:43 PM
You are not the first one trying to write a list of rules for alts (there is even a group which gives scores! Huh)
Until all these scams coin are bought on the exchange for speculation hence it's much better to educate newcomers rather than doing this list..
my 2 cents :-)
10  Economy / Speculation / Re: India back in the game? Unocoin will go live 8 january! on: January 06, 2014, 10:46:56 PM
Could somebody please post a screenshot? The page doesn't load for me.
I thought India banned bitcoin and raided exchanges/holders... how can this possibly be true?
11  Economy / Goods / Re: Anonymous reloadable prepaid plastic VISA ATM cards with own IBAN on: January 06, 2014, 10:39:08 PM
Just a very simple question, is this legal?
Which name has been used to register this card?
So which name do you use when buying online?
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bernankoin the Coin Not Evil according to Paul Krugman DL WINQT v1.3 NOW on: January 06, 2014, 10:35:36 PM
Coin history:

01/04/13 like a true Altcoin Developer the author of the coin shows his inability to understand the code he altered

ahahah I thought there was a group of senior developer behind this
too bad, this Bernankoin had true potential
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: GRAND COIN - 1 GRAND PER BLOCK and SUPER BLOCKS released TODAY 13/07/13 on: January 06, 2014, 10:32:22 PM
Guys why don't you create another one and premine a few?
We already have so many coins everyday there is no need to resurrect a thread from july :-)

Today you can skillfully use skype, twitter and facebook, but you hardly can imagine that you control the tube switch and show your distant friends that you buy a KFC drumstick by one gram of gold with 0 and 1
Can you rewrite this sentence in proper English? (not for OP)

Today's generation of internet users can use Skype with ease, as with Twitter and Facebook. It's hard to imagine, however, that now with those same friends you can systematically prove and demonstrate a purchase of a KFC meal with cryptographic currency, which all equates to nothing more than binary machine code.

Shouldn't really be doing this guy any favours. I'm not a translator.

Thanks. I see difference.
Why does OP keep silence? Did he reply anyone in PM?

OP is not looking at the forum anymore
I heard he got a flight to Thailand and finally enjoy his retirement
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinye West has been taken down; by Kanye West himself? on: January 06, 2014, 10:29:47 PM
If you can't see it, let me explain to you... they did this on purpose to get some coverage and people attention (maybe a friend on cryptocoinsnews?)
The thing is nobody give a shit about this coin. don't matter how much you pump this

Pre-mining: Small accidental premine (we were testing the coin and left a machine going) which is being given away in this thread.
Fail!
17  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What coins are you mining? on: January 06, 2014, 10:23:51 PM
I am mining american coin, I haven't done much in the last 48hrs.
Do you think middlecoin.com pays out correctly?
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] eSportsMoney [ESM]: The Currency of eSports! ZERO PREMINE on: January 06, 2014, 10:19:52 PM
I updated the original thread. Everything should be fine now. Very few blocks were mined in the chaos over the last hour, the developers didn't mine anything, and the difficulty won't adjust for another 3 hours. Sorry everyone!

It appears 500+ blocks were mined prev.

Fuck me.

Didn't he said no premine? LOL Such a shame!
Difficulty Retarget Time is 4 hours or 240 blocks?
19  Economy / Speculation / Re: BYRON WIEN: Bitcoin Will Collapse In 2014 on: January 06, 2014, 10:16:34 PM
Looking at the picture I can understand why this dinosaur doesn't understand bitcoin.
Not much you can do about it..
20  Economy / Goods / Re: [Coming Soon]Aluminum bitcoin cards on: January 05, 2014, 10:13:14 PM
I'm pretty sure it's ok if more than one person/company makes a similar product, especially if one is willing to undercut the other.  Grin

Shocked Shocked Shocked Hmmmmm  Shocked Shocked Shocked

I am just tired of Fellow bitcoiners getting scammed out of their coins..  Undecided.

So I will put a product out there that someone can trust they will get.

That's good :-)

On the other thread somebody said that aluminium is not fire-proof? Could you please confirm/deny?
How are these better than paper wallet on a zip-bag?
Thanks
