I wish some of these noobs would learn to stop undercutting the guy ahead of them in price just to get a "quick sell". (OMG some one selling 200 VTC at .0045 that will take for ever to sell, I'll sell mine at 0.0044 so I get my BTC straight away.)
For fuck sake, don't be so damn impatient, all that does is makes it take longer for price to go up! Instead price it higher than the guy selling a bunch, then his "big sell" will go quicker because the buyers see more quantity going to higher prices...
I know some of it could just be people trying to p&d but when you see little sell orders for 1 or 2 VTC trying to undercut the guy ahead of them it doesn't help you at all if your mining.
Just my 2 satoshies

This is getting me an average of 344kh/s with an ASUS R9 280X. setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100 setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1 cgminer.exe --scrypt -o stratum+tcp://vtc.coinvention.net:4333 -u USERNAME -p PASSWORD -v 1 -w 256 -I 13 -g 2 --lookup-gap 2 --gpu-powertune -20 --temp-target 65 --temp-overheat 75 --temp-cutoff 80 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-engine 1000 --thread-concurrency 8191 Vm1L8ygvYke8XjzXYMeSPZSRSpPhSzKxRZ which model do you have? the 3 slot version or the 2 slot? (the 3 slot is v2, the non v2 version is the 2 slot one) I have the 3 slot one and can get nowhere near that, lucky with 280/300 Is there some reason you guys with the R9 280 have been setting the power tune to negative 20? The way I have seen a few of the examples on here they say --gpu-powertune -20 that actually sets it negative unless you get rid of the "-" in front of the 20....might be why some of you have poor speeds

BTER may still have some problems WITHDRAWING BTC , but depositing may work ok. I received an email from their support last night saying it would be 2 - 3 days before it was fixed. So then I asked them if they could just cancel the withdrawal and put the BTC back in the exchange so I could buy a different coin with it. Their response was that they couldn't do that, but then magically that is what happened today.
So then I just bought Doge with the BTC and transferred those to my favorite exchange and all is well.

Back to pending for mine too...It would be nice if they would at least allow us to cancel it and have the BTC back available to spend on the site. At least then I could just buy some DOGE or any coin for that matter and transfer them to another exchange that is working.
Poor customer support when they barely comment in their own thread and also haven't been replying to emails.

It shouldn't be taking this long just to sync the block chain..

I Have a big problem with 4x r9 290. One of my 4 gpu is not mining (GPU 0) Right after running vertminer 5.3.0 graphic driver reports an error. the screen starts to blink and then screen back to normal. But the verminer says that gpu 0 is mining at 0 khash/s. Tried different settings with no luck. My settings are: --scrypt-vert -o stratum+tcp://stratum.vertco.in:8080 -u user.w3 -p x --thread-concurrency 24550 --lookup-gap 2 --auto-gpu --gpu-engine 800 --gpu-memclock 1250 -w 512 -I 20 --gpu-powertune 20 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 40-85 --temp-overheat 90 --temp-target 70 --temp-cutoff 95 -g 1 system specs: i5, 8gb ram Please help! I had the same problem, you need to reduce your Thread Concurrency until it works.
i'd look around, if you think Cryptsy is bad wait til you see some of the stuff about Bter's customer service and deposits
Bter was one of my favorites till this recent bullshit. Tried to withdraw BTC last night and got some strange error, emailed support and they just said it would be put in line to be looked at. This morning I look and it just says "Pending Transaction" no TXid or anything. Then since about 8 hours ago when you go to the withdraw page to check it, a box pops up saying "resyncing the block chain, be back later" WTF, 8 hours later and still nothing, nor any updates from them on their site or replies to email...It's stuff like that that turns people off from cryptos. I understand every site has problems, but at least keep people up to date on what the developments are with the problem. It goes a long way to have good communication with your customers.
I've seen some other pools/exchanges have issues before but they at least communicated well with the users and that makes a huge difference in my book.
As far as the original question, I'd recommend Vircurex.com They seem to be the best working exchange I've found yet. Coinedup.com isn't to bad either, a lot of people complain about the look of the site or the page taking a while to refresh, but hey, it works every time, and its free!

How about get BTC withdraws working first before worrying about adding new coins...
My withdrawal has said "pending" all day then now the same page just says "resyncing blockchain" for the last several hours. How long is this going to take?
They could atleast put a statement on the site when this problem started so I could of just bought different coin and transferred it to a diff exchange then sold to BTC.
This is one of my favorites exchanges until this happens so I hope they get this fixed asap.

I'm getting the same problem others have just posted. Where is the BTC now? How can we get it back or to atleast process?

Did anyone see this story? http://www.sharpenedsticks.com/2013/07/03/bitcoin-was-created-by-the-nsa-the-latest-shocking-snowden-revelation/There was a few other sites a while back that had that story. Seriously wouldn't surprise me if it was created by them. There are also other security related articles I've seen explaining that the encryption used isn't actually as strong as once thought, something to do with an eliptical cipher or something of that nature. You can't help but wonder what else all this math is being used for besides creating "coins" Maybe its their way of creating the biggest distributed computing system in existence. And after the creation of scrypt mining now there's two different algorithms for them to get work done with. For the record I really hope Snowden is wrong on this, but so far he's seemed pretty credible. Also if it was created by the NSA or some other gov agency, then it's all the more reason that bitcoin will continue to live, because they'll try to keep it alive one way or another.

I'm not sure what you mean by "a pool for solo miners", I'f you're using a pool then you're not solo mining. Typically for solo mining you just setup the wallet to run as a server and your miners connect to the server and mine on the chain that way.
If your miners are the only ones connected to the pool its the same as if they were each just solo mining by themselves.
The "diff" your referring to between the miners and pool isn't the difficulty of the coin being mined, its basically the amount of work that the pool gives to the miner to solve each time. Think of it as more of a "packet size" A higher diff between pool and miners just represents more shares being solved in each "packet"
That being said it depends on your cards speed.
For example:
500kHs = diff of 128 or 256
900kHs = diff of 256 or 512
Those are some numbers I have found to work well.

|
|
I know you said you tried moving the cards around but make sure that you install each one on a 16x slot first before moving it to a 1x otherwise the driver may not install properly. Also make sure crossfire isn't enabled. You might also need to put a dummy plug on that card to simulate a monitor or even just plug a monitor into it.
I had a 6950 on a 1x slot that would only mine at 1/4 of what it normally would do on a x16 slot, as soon as I plugged the monitor in it went back up to where it should be.

What shitty launch of a shit coin! Wallet late to being released, along with solo mining bug in wallet! A lot of people didn't even get it until minutes before pools were supposed to go up. Pools crashing everywhere lol. I'm done with this waste of a coin. Should of just mined doge for that time, atleast wouldn't of been a waste of time then.
Coin is dead. Hope coinye goes better.
