21  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Searching for investors 1 ETH + for POOL Token! on: November 08, 2018, 04:23:22 PM
LOL you've got nothing more than an empty Wordpress install. How's that for credibility? And what signal does that send us regarding your competence and/ or honest intention?

22  Other / Off-topic / Re: Content You Wish to See? on: November 07, 2018, 03:28:03 AM

if any help on where else i can show videos? are there any forms on BItcointalk i be allowed to post my videos in?

thanks

You can post a link here on Bitcointalk that connects to your videos on YouTube. I suppose it should be okay for demonstration purposes. Even otherwise, if you can construct a good story around your link, nobody is likely to object.
23  Local / Off-Topic (India) / Do You Listen to FM Radio? on: November 06, 2018, 11:29:19 AM
So, a few nights ago, I chanced upon the FM Radio app on my LG G6; and scanned the stations (in Mumbai). To my surprise the AIR FM stations played some really good music through the night, some classical, some Pop, and mostly soft golden oldies that gelled well with the silent night and into dawn. The presenters were also good and their commentary was to the point.

Do any of you listen to FM Radio in India? If so, what are your favourite stations? And, any recommendations in particular?

Since you are talking YouTube, I am assuming that you are going to make an Audio-Visual presentation. In that case, more than the stuff you are going to talk about, what matters most, in the critical first impression, is your style of presentation. By style I mean your accent and diction, your body language, the set (studio) of your presentation and how you interact with it's various elements.

Basically, at the outset, people are going to be attracted toward your screen persona, rather than the merit of what you are presenting. If they like to watch, a decision made within the first fifteen to thirty seconds, only thereafter will they focus on the topic of your presentation.

That's why some boneheads get a following on YouTube. Despite their asinine antics, there's something in their screen presence, their presentation that commands attention. Conversely, you can create the most informative text, but if your style is hum-drum, people are simply going to switch off. Then, you'll find better rewards in delivering that content through an article, infographic composition, or web page.

Unless you present samples of your presentation, it's impossible to say whether your YouTube venture will succeed or not. Obviously, once you command attention, then people will also notice the merit (or lack thereof) in your content, and at that time you need to up your technicals gameplay so that your audience grows even more, and the wider world recognises you as a crypto influencer. But, that's the secondary stage; for YouTube, your presentation style is the primary concern.

26  Local / India / Re: Is there any future of Cryptocurrency in India ? on: November 05, 2018, 09:30:01 AM
The Indian government is interested in Blockchain, and expressly rules out Cryptocurrency. Also, since it runs on tax-payers' money, they want nothing to do with established crypto, especially Ethereum, because that only profits a few "others".

Perhaps they might clone Ethereum, and run it as their own Blockchain; or there might be a permissioned Blockchain like IBM Hyperledger that doesn't need any Cryptocurrency, and where access is restricted.

Already there are tensions between the Government and the RBI over monetary policy, etc with emphasis on total centralisation. To expect them to be welcoming toward decentralised, libertarian (anti-national?!) stuff such as Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency is a delusion.

It's not gonna happen at least over the next decade if not more.  Consider yourself lucky if your possessions of Bitcoin and other Cryptocurrency are not deemed a  criminal offence.

27  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi is Back, suggests Fortune on: November 05, 2018, 12:39:07 AM
LOL, you people are turning Satoshi into a kind of Loch Ness Monster, what with all the rumours of sightings, comebacks, new chains, and what not!   Cheesy
28  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We're looking for the influencers! on: November 04, 2018, 07:55:11 AM
Do remember that it is possible to purchase YouTube followers and video views, also likes and sensible comments. Same goes for Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook. Even Reddit upvotes are arranged by some players, though I felt them a bit costly.

Best to go by solid credentials, like actual work experience, and genuine testimonials from successful references.
29  Other / Off-topic / Re: What if we are the NPC of this game? on: November 04, 2018, 02:49:54 AM

All I know is that,

we will have to do this fast and quick. Or else the main character, or the game developer may realize that we have become sentient. Then .. they will shut down this game and we will be ... NO MORE.

Maybe, that's what happened with the dinosaurs rendered extinct by that killer asteroid. If that asteroid had been just a few seconds early or late, it'd have plonked into the ocean with comparatively less, and recoverable, damage. But, it had to strike with precision accuracy, like it was aimed at a bull's eye target, and hit with point blank accuracy, and the resultant catastrophic damage.

30  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We are looking for a title partner! on: November 02, 2018, 11:45:18 AM
... A pitch deck wouldn't hurt.

What is a pitch deck? =]

A pitch deck is a series of slides, 10 to 20, or sometimes more, that a Startup founder uses to present his/ her case in front of investors.

At the bare minimum, it consists of the intro slide, problem statement, the solution, the team, and any metrics, traction etc the project may have gained on launch.

Do a Google search and look for LinkedIn's Series A pitch deck. That's a good place to start. You can also search for tutorials on making a good pitch deck, including how to present it before investors.
31  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We are looking for a title partner! on: November 02, 2018, 05:35:37 AM
If this is your pitch, it's pretty lame. You need to polish up your offering, put in a whitepaper or at least a one-pager. A pitch deck wouldn't hurt.
32  Other / Meta / @theymos New .forum tld Is Becoming Available on: October 30, 2018, 10:00:06 PM
In case you haven't come across this bit of information earlier, the .forum domain is opening up for registration. Several registrars are already accepting pre-registration for free.

Of course, bitcointalk.org has it's own brand identity built up over the years; but it'd make sense to hold on to bitcoin.forum and bitcointalk.forum. btw, another .talk tld is about to come on the scene, so you can reserve bitcoin.talk as well, when that happens!
33  Other / Off-topic / Re: Are You a Cell Phone Addict? on: October 30, 2018, 08:54:44 AM
I use my cell phone over several hours every day, and I can sense my addiction to various apps, and to the phone itself. I can't let go of the phone easily, always checking one app or the other.  My addiction has the convenient cover that I am launching an ICO myself, so I need to be on the phone 24x7. But, under that mask, I know there's addiction as usual.

34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: DECENTURION - THE FIRST DECENTRALIZED STATE on: October 30, 2018, 03:21:00 AM
Why has Decenturion stopped the physical delivery of passports?

Also, how do you make physical delivery of passports for expats? Is it possible to specify a different delivery address than the country of nationality? Because, though I'm from New York, my current address could be cities in various countries as part of my work schedule.

Struck out query has been solved by a proper reading of the relevant webpage.  Cheesy

The last part in this quoted text: "by a proper reading of the webpage" underscores another web design issue I have with Decenturion's current website. The all black background makes reading stuff that is in small, thin fonts very, incredibly difficult. Perhaps, your web design team can look into this matter.

Again, to reiterate, when will Decenturion recommence physical delivery of Passports?

36  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [WTB] Verified iCard/LeuPay account on: October 28, 2018, 09:25:23 AM
Just in case you people are unaware, here's a timely reminder that just a few days ago LeuPay (LeoPay) revised it's operating rules. Now, non-EU countries are totally out of bounds, only EU zone is being serviced.  Learnt that information on an "Estonian eResidency" Facebook group.

Hello; still waiting for your PM with sensible update on the price. Others are offering far cheaper equivalent Reddit accounts.
38  Other / Off-topic / Re: Forget About Merits on: October 28, 2018, 09:12:25 AM
It's true that merit is needed to create an impression. The obvious solution is to post impressive content, that gets rewarded with merits. Unfortunately, that doesn't always happen; though, I cannot say that it never happens, because I have myself received a fair share of merit.

But, there is always the shortfall when it comes to merits, especially for negotiating that steep jump from Member to Full and Senior Member. The admins must find a creative way to get around this bottleneck.

40  Bitcoin / Project Development / Question Regarding Project USP's Intellectual Property (Patent, etc) Protection on: October 26, 2018, 05:39:59 PM
The Whitepapers of various projects essentially set out the core workings of their business model.  I was wondering, what protection exists for the ideas in your Whitepaper?

Copyright protection is one obvious solution, but that merely protects against outright plagiarism. It would be very easy to replicate elements of an existing business model without invoking the plagiarism charge.

The more reliable solution would be patent protection. But, how many of the hundreds of ICOs have patent protection for their business model? In fact, it would be invariable that they might be intruding on somebody else's patented claim(s).

So, what is the ground level situation regarding patenting Blockchain stuff?

Any experiences, anecdotes you might care to share are welcome!
