21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 05, 2023, 06:07:17 PM
UAE could not score big because they were all out it is wrong they lost wickets from the start and they could not score big because they lost wickets from the start.
United Arab Emirates got all out in 47 overs which means if they could have batted for three more overs then I don't think they would have scored much runs. Against West Indies if they could have batted well from the start and built a good partnership, the score would have been bigger for UAE but they failed to build any big partnership. West Indies won the first ODI of the three-match ODI series to take a 1-0 lead against the hosts. These two teams will face each other again in the second ODI match on 6th.

West Indies is an experienced team and they should win this match and the series against the UAE. I was keen to see how the United Arab Emirates play this match and to my surprise, they played well to score over 200 runs. There were some good batting performances by Ali Naseer and Vriitya Aravind which helped UAE. I am hopeful that United Arab Emirates may gain good experience from this series.
Even if they manage to win a single match in the series, it will be a good for them.
Yes that's right, West Indies is a much stronger team than UAE. As a strong team, this series is supposed to be in the possession of West Indies.  But the biggest question is whether the West Indies cricket team can win this series?  The West Indies' opponents, the United Arab Emirates, also played very well in the first match. The UAE cricket team also has many talented batsmen. It is also possible that the UAE can turn the game around in the upcoming matches
UAE is good but obviously no comparison to west indies, they  are old and experienced.
I think west indies will win this series ,UAE will have difficulty in defeating them.
22  Economy / Economics / Re: Business failure among small-scale entrepreneurs on: June 05, 2023, 06:03:01 PM
Poor customer care is a strong factor that scares customers away from a business, but business also fail because they expand faster than they should. Most small scale businesses employ lots of staffs than they can handle, which is bad for their growth. It's been long I heard of olx and surprised that it failed, that was a promising business with lots of clients. These small businesses pay higher rents in the offices they occupy, knowing that their income wouldn't stay strong after such expenses. Management is key, that's why the managerial role in every business should be strong and firm, if not it won't progress.
that's true, but there are also several other things that cause business failure among small businesses, in my opinion, the main or biggest factor is the lack of capital, making it very difficult for them to compete and improve their business.
besides that Management is also very important, there are even some of the small entrepreneurs who are able to get up and grow their business bigger but the percentage is very small.
Business small or large can fail without proper planning, management and good entrepreneurship.
For a successful business you need a good plan and strategy to carry out the task ,planning and management.
23  Economy / Economics / Re: Should you save, when you are wealthy? on: June 05, 2023, 05:59:21 PM
All of us want to be free from financial problems, and nowadays there are many ways to do so that we can enjoy life without any burden for finances that we face today, before knowing bitcoin saving is indeed one way to prepare us so that later in the future we can be free from financial problems, but now I am more sure to invest in bitcoin because bitcoin can indeed give us a surprise in the future Ahead, so now never hesitate to continue to collect Bitcoin, so that later we can enjoy life without thinking about the problem of our hudup costs that are always not met properly, rich people must have investments so that the assets owned continue to grow until old age later.
I am also like that, I chose bitcoin as a saving or investment option for a very long time. But I don't just put it in one pocket, but I also have savings besides bitcoin. For example, when I want to save 30% of my income, 20% I set aside to buy bitcoins and another 10% I keep as reserve money. Because for me, when I put all my money in bitcoin it will also be a risk, because I don't know what will happen if at any time I need money. It is an advantage if when you need bitcoin money the market is in a bull market, but when it is a bear market, there will be a dilemma too, whether to sell or not. That's why I divided the place for my savings, so that I can avoid that risk.
Only wealthy people Can save or invest depending upon their priorities in life ,poor or middle class ant do these things they hardly cover their expenses with their income.
Saving is good but investing is better to increase your wealth.

25  Economy / Economics / Re: When will we stop living for the weekend? Escaping the 9-5 life. on: June 05, 2023, 11:15:42 AM
I understand the desire the OP said above for a different way of life, one filled with constant travel and exploration and I think it's only natural to crave experiences beyond the confines of our current routine. While saving Bitcoins alone may not be a guaranteed solution, there are avenues to explore.

True Change is possible, One approach is to seek financial independence through diversification and To break free from the cycle, it is important to reflect on personal values and goals, and that starts with imagining the life you want. Although the journey may require effort and patience it will bring you closer to the way of life you desire.

Yeah, reflection to what you wanted to see yourself in the future. It's your patience and dedication in finding the right patterns to change your life and break the chain that keeps you to continue with your day job. With good plans and a good understanding of each possibility, execution might be smooth and the change that you want to happen can be achieved if you plan things the right way.

It's your decision making that matters. With your find patterns, every correct execution adds up to your chances of making things possible for you to reach your goals.
First of all focus on what you want in life and what kind of job you are looking  for if you are comfortable in 9to 5 job and that routine and you can live with that than opt it . If not business is your option do something private and set your own routine and source of income.
If you succeed in that than you no longer have to wait for the weekend as you are your own boss and you can take off anyday you like .
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 02, 2023, 06:56:00 PM

BTW, England will resume their innings in around 3 hours from now, against Ireland. The match was quite boring yesterday and the England batsmen were treating Irish bowlers with absolute disdain.
Day 1 belongs to England and so will be this test match. Ireland failed to give a decent first innings total as they were bowled out for 172 runs. James McCollum was the highest run scorer for Ireland as he scored 36 runs. England as usual are scoring runs quickly. Yesterday they made 152 runs in 25 overs thats RR of 6. The only England batsmen who got out yesterday was Zak Crawley 56(45).

Ireland's players played very badly in the first innings. And I am almost sure that England will win this match by innings. Ireland's first innings collection was only 172 runs. On the other hand, the England team lost only 4 wickets and scored 524 runs, and declared the innings. Ireland's collection of 97 runs after losing 3 wickets in the second innings. Ireland's team is still behind by 255 runs. My guess is that Ireland will lose all their wickets in the first two sessions tomorrow. Ireland's players are unlikely to score 255 more runs.
England batting was outclass they scored like they're playing odi match , Ireland have trail of 255 which is impossible for them to chase already they have lost 3 wickets they  cant chase such big lead .
England really played thoroughly in their only test .
27  Economy / Economics / Re: The Role of Education in Financial Literacy on: June 02, 2023, 06:47:59 PM
How to Equip Yourself with Essential Knowledge to Succeed in the World of Cryptocurrency

Your opening post is on a very interesting and important topic which is also being debated worldwide. In my opinion role of education is vital for shaping up individual's Learning fundamental theoretical principles plays crucial role to understand underlying concepts and enable us to implement them effectively in real life.  However, practical on hand Experience is equally important to apply your learning to achieve tangible and realistic results.
People say education is not important for your success but they forget this fact that its not all about success education is important for your self growth and grooming  it helps you to widen your mindset and thinking and teaches you about different techniques that can be used in different parts of life .
So for financial literacy education is extremely important to get the best of everything.
28  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you spend more-do you get more? on: June 02, 2023, 06:44:09 PM
For me in order to achieve it people should make it clear, if you want to spend more and get more then you should put it this way: spend more on investment rather than unnecessary expenses and you would get more(earn more).
In that way those words would definitely make sense, and sometimes it would also be a marketing strategy buy more save more  Grin LOL.
What you say makes a lot of sense, but in this case I also want to clarify with another example where if someone buys more for their business or investment needs for the future, I think that's a good thing because that person can definitely earn more. many if the business and investment experience rapid progress. But if you just buy more just to spend on a daily basis, I think that person will only get more momentary satisfaction in life. No more.
Spend more and get more can only work only if you are talking about investing your money only in that case you can get more profits and advantage but other than that this phrase is totally wrong .
How come if you are spending more you can get more , for getting more nowadays you need proper planning you cant get anything easily nowadays.
29  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: June 02, 2023, 12:08:48 PM
Namibia got off to a bad start against Karnataka in the first 50-over match at Windhoek. At one point, they were at 107/6, but then a 7th wicket partnership between Jan Frylinck and Pikky Ya France somewhat stabilized the innings. Now they are at 151/7 after 34 overs. Namibia has depth in batting and it should be possible for them to post a decent total. For Karnataka, Vidwath Kaverappa was exceptional, with figures of 5-1-9-2. But the IPL sensation Vijaykumar Vyshak has been expensive so far, and he conceded 46 runs form 7 overs till now. Rishi Bopanna has taken the 7th wicket and he has two wickets to his name.

For the Afghanistan vs Sri Lanka match, both the sides have roughly equal chances of a win. Afghanistan need another 207 runs to win from 38 overs, with 9 wickets in hand. Rahmanullah Gurbaz got out to Lahiru Kumara earlier.
Ibrahim zadran and Rahmat shah made this match for their team although both of them are out still they can win this match easily now .
Sirlanka balling side was weak they couldn't stop Afghanistan from scoring runs.
30  Economy / Economics / Re: Why do people stay poor? on: June 02, 2023, 11:08:58 AM
I think the thing that makes a person still poor is difficult opportunities, many people are smart but they don't have the opportunity to work in companies or are given capital for businesses. Of course the role of the government is very important to raise the skills or abilities of its citizens who have potential but don't have the opportunity.
I don't think that's a reason, if someone has the ability and desire then he doesn't depend on other people's work anymore, he can even make his own job, open a business or something else.
Main capital is indeed important, but capital is not always in the form of money, it could be desire, hard work and also ability / knowledge.
never blame anyone if we are still poor, even the circumstances are not wrong.
it's all on ourselves, get up and try harder.
Becoming rich out from poverty is just about passiions, is to have this rich mindset.  Sometimes it must not be money to start up something first or looking for opportunities to hold on but passion is the main thing to become financially okay , and positive mindset.  Passion makes one to start up somewhere no matter how small it is, and it will definitely do well in the future. Government in the society can also be blamed why people still remain poor. If the government is is working Rate of poverty will be very low.
This is indeed often underestimated and I also believe when we have a positive spirit and mindset it will also help us get out of poverty,
indeed it will not happen instantly and of course everything needs a process,
the enthusiasm to keep learning new things and trying is very important.
Only those stay poor who wants to stay poor and those who don't work for their improvement and betterment .
Now there are million opportunities to improve yourself and still if someone don't avail them that their fault .
This is totally on their mindsets some people are satisfied being the way they are.

This caption can go in many contexts as money is never enough can be taken in contentment side thankyou are never satisfied with the money you have you always want to make more and more money those desires are endless and limitless. This greed and urge to get more sometimes leads you to wrong directions.

Bangladesh still needs another 320 runs and they have 59 overs remaining. They have lost two wickets till now (both of them picked up by Kevin Sinclair). Given the current run rate, it looks unlikely that they will be able to chase down the required runs by today. And the West Indian bowlers are unable to take any wickets as well. The partnership between Mahmudul Hasan Joy and Saif Hassan has added 34 runs till now and they look very comfortable against the opposition bowlers.

BTW, England will resume their innings in around 3 hours from now, against Ireland. The match was quite boring yesterday and the England batsmen were treating Irish bowlers with absolute disdain.
155 runs in 14 overs is a difficult one to chase by Bangladesh they played really good but this seems like west indies victory at the end .
West indies ballers really did a great job in controlling runs and bringing match to this point.

Today's 1st ODI match of Afghanistan tour of Sri Lanka team has already started.Afghanistan won the toss and decided to bowl.Sri Lanka now came out to bat.137 runs in 30 overs. So far Sri Lanka has lost 4 strong wickets.Looking at the game  It seems that batsmen of Sri Lanka team are under a lot of pressure. Fazalhaq Farooqi of Afghanistan team took 2 wickets with 22 runs in 5 overs. It seems that Sri Lanka will not be able to score more than 250 runs today.

Sirlanka managed to give a decent target to Afghanistan which they'll have difficulty chasing .
Till now Afghanistan is doing good with bat their runtate is good too and 9 wickets intact.
122 in 20 overs is a good start now if they'll maintain this partnership between Ibrahim zadran and Rahmat shah they can keep the game in their side .
34  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 01, 2023, 06:19:48 PM
I think comparatively Gujarat Titans players were strong enough but luck was not with them. As a result they lost the final match.
Luck wasn't with them? Did you even watch the match? They were extremely lucky throughout the match until the last two balls since CSK fielding was very, very sloppy. Freaking Gill was dropped when he was on single digits.

Both GT and CSK played extremely well and CSK ended up on the right side of the result. Simple!
That's true both of the teams were really good but obviously that was a game one has to win and one has to loose . Gujarat titan got little unlucky with last 2 balls otherwise that was a neck to neck match.
Chennai super kings were really good with batting they chased the target pretty conveniently.
35  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 01, 2023, 06:14:07 PM
It is going to turn out to be a good thing for the associate nations in my opinion. They really need some more money from the ICC to actually improve it is good to see that they are speaking out about that. But what I am worried about is the money that is going to be given to the associate Nations are going to be used by the teams which have foreign players in the squad to get more foreign players in the squad and they will reign supreme over the other teams which do not have the luxury to bring in foreign players.

Associate nations are suffering from a double whammy. Two decades back there were only 25-30 associate nations and almost all of them were composed of native players. Since the ICC changed the eligibility laws, the number of associate nations have increased to almost 100. And now the decreasing pot of funds are being divided by an increasing number of teams. And most of the funds obviously end up with fake teams like Belgium and Norway which doesn't have a single citizen in their squad.

ICC has also made a rule that the teams which perform better will get more money. That is another problem because the teams which have foreign players in the squad are almost always going to perform better than any native squad. So that creates a loophole which actually benefits the teams which have foreign players in the squad. ICC should change the rules as soon as possible otherwise, it is actually going to result in the death of cricket.
European countries have no interest in cricket they are more into football and other sports , Asian countries are more cricket lovers and that's the reason they have diversity of native players.
European teams are mostly made up of Asian players we see few native players in those teams .

Once again, Ireland has disappointed with their batting. Ireland made 172 in their first innings, with contributions coming from James McCollum (36), Curtis Campher (34) and Paul Stirling (30). Stuart Broad took 5 wickets till now and he has 581 wickets to his name.
Ireland is not having the caliber of batsman that could face Stuart Board and England should have experimented with youngsters when they are facing a team like Ireland. It is going to be a one sided match and i would be surprised if the match drags to the final day.

England trail by 154 runs and the England batsman would take this as a batting practice and would score a huge first innings lead.
Ireland is a new team in test format but still their batting is extremely bad and disappointing,  on day 1 they end their first innings on 172 runs  and not a single player performed good .
England obviously will win this one easily but still ireland need to work alot on their batting.
37  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: June 01, 2023, 11:09:10 AM
Chennai was a very lucky team as after Gujarat set their target at 214 runs, Chennai scored just 171 runs to win the match on Duckworth-Lewis-Stern method and became champions of the IPL. However, due to the rain, the match authorities got into a lot of trouble in the final match and the spectators also became very boring. Finally this year's IPL match is over and CSK is the champion. Congratulations to them
Gujarat's 214 runs were the record number of runs in the history of IPL finals. Before this, no team could get so many runs in the final match. Unfortunately for Gujarat Titans, the match went to DLS mode due to rain yesterday. Chennai Super Kings won brilliantly under MS Dhoni's captaincy as they moved to DLS mode. I might have thought that with the runs that Gujarat Titans scored in today's match, Gujarat Titans can win. But I was completely wrong as Chennai Super Kings came out stronger under Dhoni's captaincy. They won by losing 5 wickets in just 15 overs by collecting the target of 171 runs in the DLS system.
Gujarat Titans incredible 214 runs, a record breaking performance in IPL finals history made the match between CSK and GT undoubtedly a historic event. GT possible triumph was eagerly anticipated especially in light of the enormous amount they had gathered. Rain intervened forcing the match to transition to the DLS mode but fate had other idea. The superb management of MS Dhoni allowed CSK show their tenacity and tenacity. They won the match with five wicket remaining after quickly chasing down the revised 171 run mark in just 15 over. The incredible comeback demonstrated the breadth of CSK talent and Dhoni savvy leadership. It was a sobering reminder that in the sport of cricket anything can happen and even performance record may not ensure victory.
CSK will want to forget their last season they will improve their performance more this time they will try to make a strong comeback. Because they finished the league in a disappointing ninth place last season. The team won only four of their 14 matches. But things didn't work out well for CSK as the team started losing at the start of the season which led to Dhoni taking charge and CSK never got back into the groove. Let's see what Chennai Super Kings do.
Personally my favourite was Gujarat titans they have been phenomenal in all the matches their batting and balling both were outclass. But Chennai super kings nailed it at last moment ravindra jadeja last 2 balls will be remembered till next ipl he was the reason they won . Mohit sharma did really great job in balling .
38  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 01, 2023, 11:04:59 AM
~snip~
I won't be surprised if by 2031 they extend the IPL to a 4-months window, with 20 or so teams competing in it (similar to the English Premier League). Bilateral cricket has lost its relevance as a result of one-sided matches. India is emerging as the sole super power in cricket (equivalent to what the United States is, as far as basketball is concerned). As a result of all this, the ICC will also lose their power and will be dependent on the scraps being thrown by the BCCI for its very survival. And with each passing year, the demands from BCCI are going to go up.
20 teams in the IPL by 2031 (or even 16 teams) seem a stretch to me and a very unlikely thing to happen. We have a fixed model of 10 teams till 2027 due to media rights.
In the best possible scenario, BCCI might add another 2 teams in the next cycle, given they continue with the 4 year cycle formula instead of 8 year cycle (it's not profitable).
White ball bilateral seems useless to me, only because we have an ICC tournament every year.

I honestly think by the time 2031 comes, there is actually going to be a relegation system for the IPL. My prediction is that the IPL is actually going to be that big in 2031. I am also not going to be surprised if the IPL is actually going on throughout 6 months by that time. We all know that the IPL is basically ruling the cricket world right now. They have the most amount of popularity. The only thing that surpasses the popular city of the IPL is probably the world cup matches and if there is a Pakistan versus India match Smiley
Already bilateral series are losing that importance all eyes and attention is on different leagues but ipl is on top right now and no other league is near them.
Popularity wise or money wise Indians are leading in different markets .
39  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: June 01, 2023, 11:02:11 AM
Ireland has lost a wicket early on, as Peter Moor got out leg before to Stuart Broad (his 577th test wicket). Moor had opened the batting along with James McCollum and neither of them looked comfortable out there against the pace duo of Stuart Broad and Matthew Potts. Josh Tongue, the fast bowler from Worcestershire is making his debut today and the 4th pacer in England XI is Ben Stokes. Jack Leach is the only full-time spinner. Irish batting looks strong, at least on paper, but their bowling is mainly consisted of inexperienced players. Mark Adair and Curtis Campher will be handing pace bowling, supported by Fionn Hand and Graham Hume.

Edit: Andy Balbirnie is out, giving Stuart Broad his 578th test wicket. Ireland at 19/2.
Edit 2: Harry Tector is out, giving Stuart Broad his 579th test wicket. Ireland at 19/3.
Edit 3: Paul Stirling is out, giving Stuart Broad his 580th test wicket. Ireland at 19/4. Stirling reviews, and decision is overturned.
Bad start by Ireland against England 3 wickets already gone on 30 runs , all their batting lineup is almost gone which makes it quite clear that England is going to win this one easily.
Brilliant balling by stuart broad 3 wickets and its still day 1.
40  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: June 01, 2023, 10:59:03 AM
Gujarat Titans had the best players and they were the heavy favorites with the best bowlers in Rashid Khan and Mohammed Shami, the inform batsman in Shubman Gill while Chennai Super Kings was winning because of their tactical game plans and the genius of MSD, promoting Ajinkya Rahane as a pinch hitter along with Shivam Dube and grooming the youngster Maheesh Theekshana.

Just compare the two squads and you can see that Gujarat Titans were much stronger (at least on paper). Out of the 12 players in Gujarat playing XI (including the impact substitute), 7 were regular internationals - Shubman Gill, Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan, David Miller, Josh Little, Noor Ahmad and Mohammed Shami. On the other hand, Chennai squad had only 4 regulars - Devon Conway, Ravindra Jadeja, Moeen Ali and Maheesh Theekshana. In the end, Mahendra Singh Dhoni was able to lead Chennai Super Kings to a victory, despite majority of the CSK players being inexperienced.
Gujarat titans were exceptional throughout the ipl they could have won but last 2 balls turned the game around and Chennai was almost saved by jadeja.
Good for Dhoni this was supposed to be his last ipl and he lifted the trophy a moment of relief for him.
