581  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Laptop crashed blockchain lost on: June 03, 2014, 10:56:27 PM
I would advice maybe use a litebitcoinwallet.
They dont have to download the whole blockchain.
So they are synced pretty fast , I myself use multibit for a while now.
I believe you also have a few others but you will have to decide for yourself.
You can use your wallet.dat file for any kind of wallet right?
582  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / 50 cent accepts Bitcoin as payment for his new album on: June 03, 2014, 10:48:44 PM
Source: http://www.coindesk.com/50-cent-bitcoin-payments-new-album-animal-ambition/

50 Cent’s Shopify store will accept bitcoin payments for the new release, with BitPay acting as the payments processor.
So that is very cool I think more and more artists are accepting bitcoins.

I think alot of people have grown up with 50 cents music like his song in da club.
But what would be really cool, if they give the people that buy bitcoin a signed copy of his album.

just something like that so it would also attract new people to Bitcoin.
Or do you think this news will just make people buy bitcoin that listen to 50 cent?

583  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Safest wallet on: June 03, 2014, 10:38:48 PM
I think any wallet on the pc is probably safe.
They are all protected with the sha algorithm.
So if you make a password it should be hard to crack any wallet at all right?
And the best option is to store your wallet on a offline pc so its not hackable at all.
But if you dont want to cold storage them you could try multibit, that's what im using for a while now and no problems at all.
584  Economy / Economics / Re: Transaction demand will increase dramatically on: June 03, 2014, 10:35:47 PM
Does that also mean the transactions will go slower?
I also understand that if you make your transaction costs higher that your transactions goes through faster.
So maybe you have to pay a little more to move your transaction faster, because that would be not so good.
Or would more nodes solve that problem, so transactions can go through faster?
585  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is property....but taxable? on: June 03, 2014, 10:32:28 PM
I hope they cant ever be taxed, but when you dont have a other income.
And you want to buy a house with bitcoins , you probably have to tax your bitcoins right?
Or doesnt any country have rules about that yet?
586  Other / Off-topic / Re: You know you're obsessed with Bitcoin when... on: June 03, 2014, 10:27:07 PM
Bitcoin is your only source of income.
When you watch the price everyday.
Spend alot of time on this forum a day.
Bore your friends with talking about bitcoins, and things you read about it.
587  Other / Off-topic / Re: My favorite drink is........... on: June 03, 2014, 10:21:40 PM
Some of my favorite drinks are:

Malibu with Chocolate milk, i know it sounds crazy but its really nice.
Bacardi razz with Fanta will taste like a rocket icecream also nice taste.

And ofcourse some standart drinks like
Wiskey with Cola
Wodka redbull

13 Juni will be a drinking day again where I will have some again with Netherlands vs Spain.
588  Economy / Speculation / Re: One Satoshi = $1 trillion on: June 03, 2014, 09:57:51 PM
haha that would be crazy maybe in 200 years or longer.
I would be happy if 1 satoshi hits 0.50$-1.00$.
And you are going really far with this speculation.
And that would be really hard to pay with bitcoins then, because cant divide a satoshi.
589  Local / Mining (Nederlands) / Re: Mining pool Kiezen on: June 03, 2014, 09:49:03 PM
Hey man,

590  Economy / Speculation / Re: Future BTC price on: June 03, 2014, 09:45:46 PM
Lets first have a steady price around 1000$ or € that would be a nice milestone.
But I read so many different things 10k, 100k 1m per bitcoin it's all a possibility.
I think a 100k target could be achieved in the future, that's my prediction.
591  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Butterfly labs delays, refunds, and message blocking on: June 03, 2014, 09:43:02 PM
I only invested 20 dollars together with a friend of mine.
In the mining contracts from Butterfly Labs.
Probably a mistake we are still waiting till the contracts are activated.

But you guys have it even worser you bought heave mining equipment with some expensive price tags.
I only invested a small amount and i feel sorry for the ones that invested big with this company they still have to wait.
So atleast they should deliver when they say they do, or no one will trust them again.

592  Other / Off-topic / Re: How to get money? on: June 03, 2014, 09:38:59 PM
Well you already have a signature to get some extra bitcoins, that's a good first step I think.
And also a income wich you already spending on bitcoins, I dont know how much you earn but part time isnt alot probably.
Maybe you could start a homework business at your school, where you do people's homework and let them pay money or bitcoins to you.

Or maybe invest in some altcoin and do some daytrading with them, or sell them when there is a pump to get some extra bitcoins.
593  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM BYUING! on: June 03, 2014, 09:34:32 PM
No, byu is stupid. It's like kittehcoin. How many of you own kittehcoin?

Once we go past 1200 we will never go below it again.

How can you compare kittehcoin to Bitcoin?
Bitcoin is much further then that new coin that one one uses.
Look how bitcoin never goes lower then 400, that's because people believe they can buy bitcoin cheap at that price.
And that price will probably only get higher, when bitcoin get's more mainstream.
Maybe we already passed the moment that we dont go under 500-600 anymore.
Im not a expert but it's a possibility.

594  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Life after Silk Road: how the darknet drugs market is booming on: June 03, 2014, 09:27:12 PM
It seems pretty clear that we won't have to wait that much to see a change in policy about drugs, from a repressive policy to a therapeutic and tolerant one.

Even Clinton, that kept the Bush war on drugs, is backing down: http://www.usnews.com/news/blogs/washington-whispers/2012/12/03/bill-clinton-jimmy-carter-slam-war-on-drugs-in-new-documentary

If we keep this way, soon certain states will end as failed states. Mexico seems to be going this path.

Yeh they are backing off the war on drugs, they found a new one with the war on terror.
And they are already stopping to fight marijuana in the US, so that's great.

Did you see the movie Kid Cannabis?
There was a boy killed, and the killer only got 6 years or something.
And the boy that was running drugs from canada to The US got more then 10 years.
That in my eyes is really crazy, for just a plant that is growing in the nature.
595  Local / Alt Coins (Nederlands) / Re: Laatste Quark ontwikkelingen on: June 03, 2014, 09:23:49 PM

596  Local / Nederlands (Dutch) / Re: LTC gestolen on: June 03, 2014, 09:17:34 PM
597  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The problem with Bitcoin is on: June 03, 2014, 09:13:18 PM
I think another problem is, that it's using alot of electricity, that is bad for the world.
Especially when alot more people are going to mine it, I mean it's already gettin more every day.
Maybe one of the eco friendly coins are a help with that, or bitcoin could implement something to reduce electricity use.
598  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Games and BTC on: June 03, 2014, 09:05:13 PM
We should hire a game to make the most awesome game.
And use bitcoin as the currency for everything, Auction house, sell and buy gold/account.
A game with that implemented would be sick, but that needs alot of time and money I guess.
But there should be someone here on the forum who can do that for a nice price maybe?
599  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][MINT]Mintcoin V1.9.1, Energy Saving Coin *27 Exchanges *58 Merchants on: June 03, 2014, 08:57:18 PM
If this news is true I could tell my friends about it and invest some.
But I dont want to lead them to a bad investment.
However I do believe the mintcoin team is working hard, and putting something good togheter for the coin.
So I'll probably buy some coins again and maybe tell my friends to buy some to.
Because I dont understand why more people dont see the environment saving features, and the price is so low again.
Maybe because of the premine, But I believe they are not spending it and using it for good projects later in the game.
600  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Apple Approves Bitcoin Wallets on: June 03, 2014, 08:49:41 PM
I dont like Apple to much but that is great news for bitcoin.
Everyone of my friends almost has a Iphone so having a wallet on that is very important.
Its only gonna get more accepted now, when every phone has apps for bitcoin payments.
