If I am reading this correctly, it could only happen during this weird period when we had several blockchains floating around. Is that correct?
Correct. Nothing to see here....

Are you trying to solo mine? At the current difficulty, unless you have a couple of MHash/sec or more it's probably better to pool.
If you want to do pooled mining just get cgminer.
Trying to pool!

The real concern with bitcoin is people like the OP who enjoy spreading lies.

Hello everyone, I wanted to get a feel from the community as to what would be the best way to generate funds to make a song/anthem for Bitcoin. I make music for a living ( www.listentotoby.com if you're interested). I've wanted to create a song for a while that could serve as an anthem of sorts for the movement that Bitcoin represents. I feel confident that I can make something that would resonate with people musically as well as educate about what Bitcoin is, why we need it, and hopefully bring a large new crowd into the Bitcoin economy. My basic question to this board is...What do you feel would be the best way to fund it? Should I attempt to set up a bounty system? Should I just set up a regular Kickstarter page and include my bitcoin address? I know there was a Bitcoin based site that was similar to Kickstarter but it didn't seem to have any user base when I tried to use it in the past. Am I missing something? Any ideas? Thanks in advance! My address in case anyone is in a generous mood: 1EVoLvEuNEJd2ovt48QmntHU35nwavsrJJ Hello, There is here Bitcoinstarter.com. They seem to be down at the moment.

Hello! I just wanted to inform you all (and maybe get some feedback) about a site my husband and I just put together. We're New Mexico based, and we're now accepting more than 10 different methods of payment for bitcoin. We're attempting to compete with https://get-bitcoin.com/ and are currently offering a 4.8% to buy using most payment methods and 2.8% to sell vs their 5% to buy and 3% to sell. Not only that but we're also currently accepting credit cards and PayPal! I bet you're wondering how we prevent fraud... Well there are a few ways but if we told you then the scammers would know too. We're definitely interested in the local bitcoin community and expanding it, so any feedback is welcome. We're also currently working on a site redesign! Thanks, -Stormy http://www.quickbitcoins.netwww.facebook.com/quickbitcoinserrm .... ^^ what does have to do with him trying to find like minded bitcoiners in New Mexico ?nevermind I see your based in New Mexico got it
