I've been talking to nelisky through PM and I might just sell it to him.

But can anyone else offer anything more than $500 for these two cards? If you can, let me know asap!

Hi

Where are you based, so I can work out how much shipping will cost?

Thanks.

Sorry for posting in the wrong section.

Here is a pic.

They are unopened and still have the undamaged plastic sticky pads on the flaps.

I could sell these on eBay, but I'd rather that they go to miners and are not wasted on games.

I do take paypal I guess, and I can ship too, although it might be expensive.

Any better offers?

Thanks guys.

I'm not too keen on accepting BTC due to the volatility of the prices. Sorry...
Could you pay cash/bank transfer?

Hi guys,

I'm hopefully going abroad in a few weeks, and I'm expecting to stay there for a few months at least.

I bought these cards to build a miner, but didn't get round to it, and I'll have no use for them now.

I'm in London, UK. Collection welcome.

It is two XFX 5870 cards, brand new and unopened.

Any offers for one or for both?

Just reply here, or PM me.

Thanks.

Wow... okay. Thanks for the warning.

What do you think of this one?

http://www.amazon.co.uk/CoolerMaster-Silent-Pro-M1000-internal/dp/B002SP2FVM/

Its 100W and (I hope) silent.

Could this support five 5870s?

Thanks again for your help.
11  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Which PSU for this rig? on: June 10, 2011, 09:10:48 PM
Hi guys...

I've never built a PC before and I need some advice. I decided to build a rig and ordered the following parts:

Board: MSI 890FXA-GD70
GPU: 4 * Radeon 5870
Ram: 2gb
CPU: Sempron 140

And I intend to run it off a USB boot of Ubuntu.

What I need to know is:

1) What kind of PSU would suit this rig? I want to get one that is quiet (that is my priority) but also one that could support another 5870 if I decide to fill in the final slot on the motherboard. My second priority is that it needs to be cheap. And thirdly, it needs to be available via Amazon UK or Ebay. Would something like this 900W PSU be suitable?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Storm-900W-Quiet-Silent-PC-Power-Supply-PSU-Black-/300537779936

2) Would I need any risers or extra converters for the PCI slots, or extra power leads from the PSU to the cards? I really don't know what I'm doing here and how to fit all these parts together. I don't know if I need any extra parts not listed?

So here I am as a newbie that would be grateful for any advice. Thanks for your help guys.

Hi...

It has been around 36 hours and my withdrawal request was still 'processing'.

I cancelled it, and have initiated a new withdrawal request.

I hope this one works...

I tried to withdraw £100 from my account, but it has been "processing" for over 24 hours now. Is that normal?
