Looks like I'm not able to send BYC.
Every time I try, I get an error message saying "Error: Transaction creation failed!"

Anyone else seeing this?

update:
I was able to send and receive hours later.
It had something to do with the amounts being sent..

The first steps for that are to refresh the wallet and the website.

If you know of anyone with some programming skills or with enough time to make some website edits - please contact them.

BYC really needs a co-developer (or two) to help it rebuild its community and its momentum.

The network corrected faster than I thought it would.

The long block generation times are actually a good sign.
It will likely take months for the network to correct itself..

Everything appears to be working again.

Something strange going on with the blocks.
Explorer not updating and wallet not updating.

The explorer shows 9 (below).  My wallet showed 7 until I restarted.
It initially connected to 2, then a third a few minutes later.
Could take a while to connect to the others..

Until we can get the website updated, I have the full windows installer and block database as of November.

Please let me know if you need it and i'll send you a link to the files.

Total size is about 2GB.

That is a good question.

To at least get us back to a starting point:

The website needs a good bit of editing.
The wallet needs a good bit of editing and then needs to be compiled into an installer.

Actually KYC has valid purposes. 3 I can think of are:

Required for financial reasons when using Fiat.
Necessary for legal inquiries when tracking stolen assets.
Tax requirements since cryptos are essentially like stocks or commodities.

Does anyone know where STEX is geographically based?

The number of peers increases and decreases regularly but there are few persistently connected wallets.
After the holidays, we - the byc community - will need to start taking steps to re-establish the chains presence.
Try to leave yours on as much as possible even if you're not mining.

The block database is about 1.7GB
