481  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Difference between Security and Utility token on: August 02, 2018, 09:04:47 PM
Do we really need another post. It has been discussed a number of times before:

482  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The eternal question on: August 02, 2018, 09:01:29 PM
The next fair question is: what should we do? How can we attract people?
I think it will be easier in the future. The newer generations are good with computers, practically born with them, so they will be naturally attracted to crypto. They will learn how to use wallets and take care of security much easier than the older generations.

We have to explain (over and over again) how to receive and store crypto, and what they can do with it afterwards. And you know what? Almost all of them agree to publish their ads on our website.
Education is the key. We don't have enough education, so it's good to hear that you put extra effort on educating people. Good luck.
483  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs ApplePay on: August 02, 2018, 08:54:37 PM
I do not intend to discuss here whether this will happen or not, BUT what would be the most efficient way to implement the bitcoin in these stores for purchases to be made as fast and simple as possible (with one click), like the apple pay, and not risking the security of my wallet. (in fiat currency, any swindle or mistake would be nulled by my bank... in bitcoin don't...so the implementation of this must be PERFECT)
Exactly. Any mistake with fiat currency can be mitigated by the banks. We count on that, so we can continue to be irresponsible. If we want to use bitcoin, we are forced to be entirely responsible with our money. That's the point. You don't have to rely on intermediaries, payment processors, banks... Every time we rely on them, we give them power. The idea is to claim back this power and be responsible with our money.
484  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: where i can find some ico? on: July 31, 2018, 10:55:06 AM
This has been discussed a number of times on this forum. A good old google search can help a lot:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2564054.80

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2913032

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2903597

I have to add, there is no guarantee that the reviews you will read about "high heat ico's" won't be paid reviews, as these websites are known to do "sponsored" (if you can call it that way) listings.
485  Economy / Economics / Re: New usage of bitcoin and cryptocurrency in sport on: July 30, 2018, 09:15:51 PM
So far two thing i have found one is sponsorship and another is paying player in crypto.

If nothing else, paying players in crypto could promote transparency (due to the fact that we have a transparent public ledger). Not having enough transparency, especially with these  astronomical figures and bloated contracts is one huge problem in today's football.
486  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do cryptocurrencies need, but haven't got yet? on: July 30, 2018, 09:07:46 PM
Okay let me follow up then : they need an easy to use and easy to understand PayPal experience working decentralized model,
that just works, is fast and extremely cheap in usage.
Yap, that's the biggest barrier to success. Working with cryptocurrencies is too complicated for the average guy. So now we need a very simple solution acceptable for them. Because, many people who belong to the older generations, they don't know how to work with paypal even, let alone set up a wallet. The new generation who grows up with crypto may not have this problem though.
487  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you actually think major coins will be live in 2025? on: July 29, 2018, 10:15:12 AM
In my opinion we have a huge altcoin related bubble burst ahead of us. I think it will happen before 2025. This bubble will burst and it will burst hard. Only a couple of alts will survive this "crypto winter", so to speak. I don't count bitcoin here, because in my opinion bitcoin is totally safe. Unfortunately a lot of people will lose money. I don't see how this could be avoided. Which coins will survive is a good question and it is really really hard to say. I don't know if Ethereum is even totally safe. After the bubble, there will be a consolidation, and a couple of coins will take the lead with bitcoin on top of them.
488  Economy / Economics / Re: Greediness leads to market manipulation. on: July 26, 2018, 02:58:30 PM
If you as an individual are led by greed when you go to trade, chances are you won't go far. However, I think you are right when you say that there is market manipulation. Market manipulation is usually done on an institutional level, taking advantage of the small investors. Whether or not you can call this greed, I don't know. The whales are simply doing business, and they just use the fact that the crypto markets are not regulated enough. So they get by with all sorts of shady things while making money.
489  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Many Factors Can Impact Future Value on: July 21, 2018, 12:42:05 PM
Here are my thought on some of these points of yours:

 The potential for forks in open-source applications that could split away market participants, increase the number of digital coins, or make your coins obsolete.
If the coin is not among the top coins by marketcap, nobody is going to fork it.

 The link between the value of a digital coin or token and the offered product or service.
Haven't seen many of these alcoins offering any products or services as of yet. They are just planing to do so in the future.

 Adoption of the digital coin or token as a broad medium of exchange or store of value.
You are talking about bitcoin now.

 Liquidity in the market for a specific digital coin or token.
Liquidity is next to nothing for most of them.

 Risk of theft from hacking.
With the exception of BTC, they are all prone to hacking.
490  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: ❗❗ Friendly Reminder: SECURE. YOUR. ASSETS. on: July 21, 2018, 06:47:49 AM
Which would you recommend better? The Ledger Nano S or the Trezor?
Already discussed before. You may check, for example, this post:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2552485.0

In my opinion, even better is a properly configured air gapped computer:

491  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If you are to be a bounty manager, How will you run the bounty campaign? on: July 21, 2018, 06:41:24 AM
If I were the bounty manager I would first make sure the campaign I am managing is legit. Too many scammy ICO campaigns are to be seen these days. I suppose some of the bounty managers are getting paid in advance to promote them and they don't care if the participants will be paid at the end of the campaign. Next I would not accept campaigns without an escrow fund set in advance, so that the bounty hunters can be 100% sure they are going to be paid. Then I would make sure the participants really contribute on the forum without spamming or copy/paste posting. This will eliminate the shitposters, and the quality posters will be rewarded even more. I don't think these rules are hard to impose. I think bounty managers are in a way responsible for making this place more spam free and the bounty hunters in their campaigns adequately rewarded for their efforts.
492  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What makes listing of coins so high on: July 20, 2018, 08:54:26 PM
If you talk about ICOs I think they could always spend a part of their raised money to list their shitcoin on an exchange. However there are coins that are created to be fair from the start, which means no pre-mine, no developers fees, no private or public sell. Just a blockchain and mining to release rewards with equal rules for all miners. What happens to coins of this type if all you need to be listed is money?
493  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DONT FALL FOR THIS SCAM on: July 19, 2018, 06:17:53 PM
i try to transfer some eth into it to get fees to transfer the tokens to my wallet, when i realise there are a suspicious amount of comments on that address, i check out and it turns out its a scam,
So it was a trap. But, why would you want to transfer those tokens to your wallet in the first place? They didn't belong to you. Even if you found a private key with a huge amount of Ethererum, they are not yours to claim.
494  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance down?? on: July 19, 2018, 04:55:02 PM
I'm working on Binance this very moment, and I have no problems connecting or trading. So it has to be something else. Is there an error message or something?
495  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Blockparty, the new hidden gem of cryptro market on: July 19, 2018, 04:47:29 PM
Yes it is a utility token. Probably we will see more of this kind of tokens in the near future because they have their place in the crypto market. Whether or not this is a good investment I'm not sure. People who go to cultural events often might want to buy such tokens, but holding them a long period of time is questionable.
496  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger hate Bitcoin? on: July 15, 2018, 11:35:31 AM
They don't understand bitcoin. Cryptocurrencies bring with them a lot of new concepts to assimilate, and these guys are already too old for that. They know how to deal with traditional investment and bitcoin for them is an uncharted territory. I don't think they are elite any more. The times are changing but they are afraid or ignorant to be able to jump on the wagon of these new technologies.
497  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Pundi X NPXS ? on: July 14, 2018, 03:07:53 PM
You can never tell, of course, but they look legit to me. At least they seem to be working on a real problem. They promise solutions to bridge fiat and crypto for ordinary users, which is probably one of the most important problems for mass adoption of cryptocurrency today. This is different from the many "copy/paste" ICOs that have flooded the scene recently, or it looks to me to be different from the 10 minutes I spent reading their whitepaper. As to your question whether they are another pump and dump ICO, time will tell.
498  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: trade bot for binance on: July 14, 2018, 01:22:10 PM
Hi all
We created a bot for binance.
the bot works on the averaging and scalping tactics
from 2% to 5% per day profit
we can do it for an other markets if you need it.

also we are looking for investments for the development of neural network analysis of the market.

telegram: @ichernikov1

If you can really create a bot that would give you "from 2% to 5% per day profit", you would never share the code with anyone. Just saying.
499  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: EXRATES.ME is a scam Exchange on: July 14, 2018, 12:48:44 PM

Please stay away from this exchange. They charge 3 BTC for listing and their exchange is simply fraud!!

I actually tried to register with them, but never received the verification code which was necessary to log in. I guess I may consider myself lucky for that. Thanks for the heads up.
500  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can someone Explain Me, What's going on! on: July 13, 2018, 07:40:56 AM
How can hacker hacked my wallet this time where I created totally a new Address.

What's happening to me, What should I do! I am feeling like I am in a horror situation.

It doesn't matter if you created a totally new address. If you computer is compromised (i.e. virus of some kind), the attacker could have access to your new private keys as well. So stop creating new wallets and forget about doing any transactions on your current computer. If you still have your remaining private keys on paper or somewhere safe don't use them before you clean up your computer, and possibly use them only in a new safe computer environment.
