I am not able to get my semux wallet to sync. Is there an issue going on with the wallet?
Check your firewall settings if they are too restrictive on outgoing connections it may stop the wallet from syncing. The wallet says 72 peers connected but it isn't loading blockchain. Can anybody help with the wallet syncing issue? |

DIRA client has even a more classical CPU mining with an SHA-512 algorithm (a GPU miner is under development).

I have seen a lot of new cryptos being announced and then alpha miners are required to test the network where the testers would keep the coins when the network is live. A lot of these projects has anonymous testers. These testers can be just accounts of the dev team. Is this long used practice being exploited for premining?

For a second day in a row, my miner (not the java one), is working, there is hash rate and min DL displayed.
However in pool when I search for my address, nothing is shown neither is current shares, nor in historic, nor in payments. This started yesterday.
Help.

As far as I know the only way to make SEM is to be a validator. To become a Validator, you firstly need to be a Delegate (this burns 1000SEM to register). Then people vote for the Validators from the delegates, with 1 SEM per vote (this locks your SEM votes, but you can unvote if you want your SEM back). As the network grows so do the number of validators, up to the current max of 100 validators. Some of these Validators act as pools, paying out to their supporting Voters with a share of the SEM they forge.
I hope this all makes sense so far?
I think all of the Validators act as pool, because if not then what then what is the point of voting them? Though I have question do we need to keep our wallet open, after voting in order to earn semux? |

Yes it make sense to vote for your own delegate or for a pool because you will get rewarded with SEM for it (you will earn coins). Just make sure you leave a little balance so you can unvote if you change your mind. It will take a normal fee of 0.005 to vote or unvote. Ok, great! I get it now. Thanks! Now if only I have more SEM to vote...  I think it will be a good idea to make post on how to mine/earn semux. Since it looks like it is quite complicated and different from the traditional mining. I will get on creating a thread to mine/earn semux for dummies. PS: in the mean time it will be great to get the buy/sell thread unlocked so people can trade semux. OTC Buy/Sell thread |
