1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "World's top credit rater S&P says Bitcoin is becoming global collateral." on: February 14, 2026, 02:32:34 AM
"World's top credit rater S&P declares Bitcoin is becoming global collateral."
Please don't make that happen and this saying with me is a clickbait for making noise.

Let Bitcoin is simply itself, Bitcoin, and an individual collateral, a company collateral, a national collateral or global collateral, it's how the community at small or wide scale accepts and uses Bitcoin. The world is truly huge and Bitcoin can not fix all issues nationally or globally as it is responsibility of governments at wide scale. When more people, companies, institutional investors, governments try to join the Bitcoin party, Bitcoin will get benefit from such rising adoption as its value will soar more with more utilities, better adoption, bigger demand while future supply declines every Bitcoin halving.

I can't wait for the day that you have your average person walking around transacting with bitocin for their groceries and whaever else they need on a casual day. Then again, if that were to be true it would almost have to mean that bitcoin would take the place of cash and we wouldn't be trading paper left and right but transnacting with Sats and through our telephones or whatever new means of future technology is out that allows for bitcoin transfers.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin is on a discount now on: February 14, 2026, 02:24:35 AM
Now is the time you’ve always wanted.

The price of Bitcoin has corrected and touched the $60K price, but the possibility of a downward trend in the price of Bitcoin is very low. Bitcoin has corrected enough, this is the only good time to decide the time to invest. The possibility of getting the maximum benefit is highest if you buy Bitcoin and hold it for a long time, in the current situation, the Bitcoin market can reverse at any time, which means that the price of Bitcoin is most likely to increase.
The current Bitcoin market correction indicates that this has created an opportunity for investors to buy Bitcoin, so no one should waste this opportunity.

I agree, this is a tremendous opportunity to buy more bitcoin. Its currently being wasted by so many folks from so many generations because personally I feel like people are just 1. not understanding still what bitcoin actually does and 2. they are checked out because they think its too late to hop on the party bus. Now i'm not an expert but if you don't think bitcoin is going to go back up to at least 120k in the near future then what do you think is going ot happen? It will surely re-test that area in due time before it could go back up even to a new ATH again.
3  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you think drugs destroys more than gambling addiction then you must read dis on: February 14, 2026, 02:18:34 AM
After reading this you would know why you should be treating a gambling addiction with care than ever. Initially I was actually taking a drug addiction as something more deadly than gambling addictions but after coming across this article I had to totally give up on someone who is suffering for a gambling addicts and as a matter of facts, should be treated and handled with care as they are 70-80% of likely taking their lives.

So after reading this article would you pay close attention to those who are gambling addicts around you or within you?
I know that we have much discussion on gambling addictions and drugs but this calls for attention.

While many individuals are aware of the risks of overdose, withdrawal, and death that may ensue from a drug or alcohol addiction, much less are aware of the fatal nature of gambling.  Of all the various forms of addiction, gambling addiction has the highest rates of suicide.  Studies have found that problem gamblers are 15 times more likely to take their own life than an average individual, and that 1 in 5 individuals with a gambling addiction attempt suicide.  As such, it is important to be mindful of the severity of gambling well beyond one’s net worth.

Man, its crazy to read that. I mean it makes sense but the fact that these numbers are SOOO HIGHHH is really quite freightening. If people only knew that there life was worth so much more than gambling. They take drugs to cope with the losses but it only fuels the addiction even more until they totaly and completely hit rock bottom. Some of them stay at rock bottom and some of them end up killing themselves from the pressure or debt or maybe a combination of the two and it really is heart breaking.
4  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do people just pay to watch whatever gets promoted? on: February 14, 2026, 02:15:35 AM
In the last few years I've seen some of the worst boxing performances ever.
The most highly promoted athletes these days are not great in terms of athleticism.

On one hand there's good competitive boxing like we saw in the latest Olympics. But recently there's heavy promotion for events that just end up being huge flops in terms of athletic performance.

Makes me winder, especially since many of these events had huge profits, will people just pay to watch whatever gets promoted?

Thats why Jake paul makes all this money with his matches. Hes not the greatest boxer in the world but he is popular and he gets the people going. He can be controversial and he is really a great marketer. I wonder, what is the next really great boxing match that we can look forward to seeing? You know, one that will make even people who don't watch boxing at all tune in to see whats going on. I feel like that muhammed ali energy is gone...
5  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Still aiming for profit in Sports Betting despite losses? on: February 14, 2026, 02:04:42 AM
How long have you been betting on sports already?
Roughly, how much do you think you’ve lost so far (if you’re okay sharing)?
And why are you still not giving up on the goal of becoming profitable someday?

Most of us probably didn’t start winning right away. For many, it’s years of trial and error, blown bankrolls, bad decisions, and emotional betting before learning anything real.

So what keeps you going?

Is it discipline? Better bankroll management? Improved analysis? Or just believing that experience will pay off in the long run?

Or maybe you already accepted that this is more of a hobby than a business, and profit is just a bonus?

Well unless you own a casiono or work in some kind of gambling related field or play poker professionally or something its pretty much a hobby or past time for everyone else. The business side of that is a flip side, and now i'm actually wondering if the folks who own casinos ever actually gamble? I feel like they don't. Anyways that is besides the point. I feel like gambling business would be a good one to get into honestly because you're probably more likely to make money than to lose it!
6  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What have you achieved through gambling? on: February 14, 2026, 02:02:09 AM
We have been hearing people talks about how much they had made or how much they have lost while gambling. I wanna know if you gamble and win, do you withdraw the money and use it for something more productive at home? Do you spend money on your family if you eventually wine?
There are people who barely withdraw their money from the gambling site, Instead they would say they want to accumulate it till it gets to what they wanted, but at some point they wouldn't know when the casino gradually takes back their winning from the user and before such person could realize is already late. If it was you what would you do?

I've achieved learning the lesson on gambling early in life by playing and winning big , or at least what is considered a large amount of money in middleschool or hs but then I lost it all in a roller coaster of a night on a cruise ship when I was 16. What a ride that was, sailing at sea! It was something from a movie, I walked in and nobody questioned me because I was tall .... as soon as I walked by the crapps dice table some butler took my drink order and gave me a bud light on the house and I stood there watching people throwing dice and laughing and all dressed up. It really was quite the scene. Thinking back on it I look at the memory fondly, because the lesson I learned there was worth far more than the money I lost was worth ... - the amount was $180 at the time. I took a $10 bill all the way up to $180 as a kid and then lost it all in the same night. And then I went to try and get with girls on the ship lol
7  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Professor who studied gambling on: February 14, 2026, 01:55:15 AM
Yes. Those who grew up using old nintendo systems like the family computer controller may have been exposed to some sort of gambling mechanics within one of their early games or the mini games within them. If I remember correctly, the old pokemon game had something like a slot mini game within it. There were also even similar casino type games on SNES systems before. Some variant of Super Mario games also even have a casino feel to it; Luigi's Casino was included in one of those old mario games. We did have an old family computer controller before but I was only able to play super mario on it.  Grin
I wish you could share the link to their studies to this, perhaps they published it somewhere? It would be great if we could read them

Yes I realize that I didn't put any reference of his name or anything it was the guy in this link, Jeffrey: https://www.weinerphd.com/podcast/youth-gaming-disorder-gambling-derevensky .... He didn't go into much detail and I was honestly trying to stall because the computer was loading and we were just standing there.... but the old man is funny I literally got him all set up on the computer, helped him set up his username and password and the whole bit I think the sale all in all took around 30 minutes because I was just helping him and showing him how to navigate basic computer stuff lol But he was old and I made sure to respect the elderly I think he must be like 70 something. Anyways, later on that same night a few hours later he messaged me and said he wanted to return the computer because he found another one or something and I said yeahhh no. This is FB marketplace not best buy, I told him I don't accept returns and I was completely justified in doing so he could have walked at any point and I make sure he was 100% satisfied at the time of the sale. Old man took a gamble on facebook marketplace heheh, will he play again I wonder? hahahhha

9  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the Reasons People Are Questioning Bitcoin Again? on: February 13, 2026, 01:27:05 AM
I’ve been watching the Charts and overall Market sentiment for quite some time now. And it's just laughable that the "revolutionary" talk just evaporates when the market starts to bleed. I think the issue is Price Anchoring, I think we are wired to perceive what happened "yesterday" as the permanent reality and when The Market is Green Everyone acts like a visionary but the Second Market starts bleeding Everyone starts Questioning their "Vision". It's like people forget the Actual Mechanics of the Network and make price the only indicator as to the tech is "working" or not. The truth is that most of the people here are just LARPing as high-conviction investors.

It's easy to say you're in it for Decentralisation or whatever the Math when you are 20% up but when you are at Drawdown, that's when you realize if you actually understand what you bought. I have seen in a few discord servers where the people who were posting "To the Moon" memes are now the ones who are hoping to Get out on break-even. It's Hard to believe in something which you don't know about, if everyone right now just have a teeny bit of Fundamental knowledge then they will have something to rely on when the hype is Ended. The truth is we need people who believe in Bitcoin not who wants to Benefit from Bitcoin. And if you believe in It then the benefiting Part comes in the package with it.

These are all the folks who just bought into the hype but haven't taken the time to really fully grasp it. Which is too bad. They will end up losing a lot of money because they will sell at unfavorable positions and then they will have a bad taste and bash bitocin for the rest of their life because they folded hands and were weak shoobies! Those guys had better get a couple tequila shots and pucker up, shit don't even phase me no more hahhahah. Dude I mean bitcoin is at 66k... 66k!! That is still hella good cuz. Shits going UPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. In due time. We gotta see what is going on with the US and this whole crypto bill and regulations and all that bs. Its gonna MOVEEEEEE this year though. It has to.
10  Economy / Gambling discussion / Professor who studied gambling on: February 13, 2026, 01:23:11 AM
So earlier this week I had an interesting encounter with an older professor who came to buy a computer from me off of an online marketplace. He came by and I had him all sorted out in about 10 or 15 minutes helping him get the thing all set up and get him out the door. Anyways, while the device was booting up I killed time asking him about what he did, and turns out he was a Professor for Dept of Education and Couseling/Psych professor in the dept of Psychiatry. He said he had studied gambling for over 20 years and his team did some of the first testing on Nintendo game systems to see if there were any links or associations of game systems with anything that could later corrupt youth in life, their findings were that Ninteno systems best associated with GAMBLING.

Do you think as a result of this and the way certain game systems were engineered do you think they were meant to flip on some kind of like deep and sleeping cognitive gambling switch that woudl turn on by certain cues later in life? Food for thought, I found it quite an interesting encounter and little gambling nugget that I never knew. What are your thoughts on this? Did anyone else know this?
11  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It's starting, the dreamed future is playing out on: February 13, 2026, 01:17:12 AM
Let's talk, if everyone starts paying with crypto and buying and selling with crypto takes over, what will be the jobs of banks then? Any helpful thought on this?
When you say everyone starts accepting cryptocurrency, it just makes it seems like it's an easy thing. No matter the extent of bitcoin adoption, there's still going to be a lot of other nations that will still make use of the fiat.

Bitcoin is not a replacement to the fiat and expecting bitcoin or any crypto to go mainstream to the point that it's being used like the way fiat is being used at the moment is almost an impossible thing that will never happen ever again. The dream future for most crypto enthusiast should be that big firms and institutions adopt bitcoin more than they have accepted it now, that's the highest we can see to be possible.

Well, I should think that any companies that were once on the edge about getting some on their balance sheet are probably thinking long and hard about getting some now when its down! I feel like its a great buying opportunity right now if you had 10k to throw in and get yourself a nicle little chunck of a bitcoin then hey thats not a bad bet at all. I would say that is a great entry point and I hope that companies are paying attention to the opportunity and not tantalized by all the FUD.
12  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have any Gambling Goals in 2026? on: February 13, 2026, 01:13:14 AM
Howdy!

We are almost done with the first month of 2026! Nearly 3/4ths of the way through the month and I am curious to know if anyone had any gambling goals for this year. Have you stuck to your goals so far or have you slipped yet? I think this goes without saying but lets all be as encouraging as we can here and respectful towards one another and their goals. You could have a goal to not gamble as much, maybe to not gamble at all. Maybe you have a goal to gamble more often? lol Who knows! Everyone has goals, but not everyone talks about them so openly so I think we ought to get a decent turn out here.

I will kick us off, my gambling goal for this year is to pick 2 sports that I really like and make a concious effort to study them & the statistics of the teams/ sports and do more sports betting this year. My goal is to be strategic and make educated decisions after studying the players, leauges, games etc. I also have a goal to go to the hardrock at least one time with my buddies for a little fun playing poker!

What are your gambling goals? Please share as much or as little as you like, and I will be looking forward to hearing everyones GGs!

Cheers,

tread93
I know it is fun and driving to play more most times when we enter either the gambling hall or visit gambling sites. All our hormones will be awakened and the urge to play more will be intriguing you. But  the Comon goal i want us all to have is not to allow your emotions cloud your mind you want to gamble.   Play with sense so that you donot over do it.

Yes I do like this thought, playing with tact and great care for your own financial well being is a form of self respect in gambling and that line shall not be crossed lightly. Its basically like an insult to yourself if you gamble and lose and lose and lose again, at some point you gotta just know when enough is enough. But then again when you're winning and having an incredible night and you want to keep going but lose a little you gotta know when to stop and preserve your capital.
13  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Speed and Time in betting in online casinos on: February 13, 2026, 01:10:51 AM
It surely doesn't help your odds! But I think it can train your brain to be more inclined to decide quicker and maybe you could get better at the game. There is this one exercise I was reading about that could possibly help with this. In one hand you write 1-25 and in the other you write the ABCs, and you go with no breaks no stopping until you can do it. When you keep going and don't stop your brain goes into overdrive! But eventually you become much quicker with your thought processes and its like a superpower!
I have not really tried this before but I think I am going to have it a try if it really worth it.
If you look at some of these casino games, you can see that some have auto play so you don't have to worry yourself about touching the screen of your phone everytime or trying to click your mouse so that playing can be much easier and faster.

Yes i mean it can't hurt right?! Anything to help that cranium kick it into hard gear and keep the thrusters bussin!!!!! hahhahhaah. I don't even know what the heck I just said. But still there have got to be some other ways that someone could exercise their gambling skills to become a better gambler in speed and time games and other types of gambling games as well. I guess we will just have to keep on thinking about it. Its hard to crack auto play games when you accidently click the wrong buttons too with the slip of a finger.
14  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Nicknames For All The Different Types of Gamblers- Thoughts? on: February 13, 2026, 01:08:08 AM
But you get my idea?

I get your idea, but how many people can relate to any of these nicknames? How many people are actually devoted to only one gambling game?

Most of us play more than one game, and some of us enjoy playing poker, sports betting, live games, and in-house games. So how would you call us? Divergents?  Cool

Hmmmm that is a good question haha. I guess divergents could be it, or you could call trifecta gamblers! (if they play 3 games lol) Doublers or just singles... haha Idk the whole naming idea was a fun thought but i'll admit that none of these will stick! I guess we will just have to call a spade a spade and call it what it is!!!
15  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bet Accepted Then Rejected Later, Is This Fair? on: February 13, 2026, 01:01:36 AM
So I had this bet on the Celtics, I placed it live during the first quarter. I took -14.5 at 1.99 odds. After placing, it turned green, balance was deducted, so I thought everything was confirmed. I even closed my account after that. Later on, when the Celtics were already up by 20+ points I was feeling good and telling myself this is an easy win, then suddenly I checked again and saw that my bet was marked as rejected.

Honestly, I don’t understand why, seems the line didn’t look wrong, the original line was close to that, and at the time I placed it they weren’t even leading that big yet. So seeing it rejected was really disappointing. There was no clear reason given. I haven’t contacted support yet, I just wanted to post here first and ask if anyone experienced the same thing.

Do you think what the sportsbook did is reasonable?

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/scoreboard/

Wow, that is annoying OP. I would definitely reach out and demand answers. You should have won that bet and because it wasn't in their favor they decided to cancel it? That is foul play. That shouldn't be let go without an argument and if I were you I would already have emails going out and telling them that wasn't fair. Its worth the try at least. If they don't get back or mark the case closed then at least you tried, I feel like sometimes they would honor it and give you your cash.
16  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever lost a friendship over an off bet? on: February 08, 2026, 08:01:08 PM
I’ve heard many stories about friends betting on a game at home, where one person couldn’t accept the loss and refused to honor the bet. After that, the friendship was never the same. Has this ever happened to you? Do you think off bets with friends are harmless fun, or are they risky for the friendship itself? Personally, I try as much as possible to avoid playing this way, not because I don’t trust the people around me, but because I don’t see the meaning of gambling that way in the presence of online platforms.

It happens every day, and its crazy how such a small thing or even what seems small in the grand scheme of things can leave to a complete trench between two friends and results in a falling out over a bet or bad Intel or betting suggesting or whatever the case may be. It shows you how fickle some relationships can be. Choose your friends wisely and spend your money wisely 💯
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: GET ANGRY on: February 07, 2026, 05:30:31 AM
An average Gen Z male's life in 2026 -- Cross-checked:

You're living in a neighborhood that is having a rally on criminal activity. Every week, a new all-time-high.

You have no girlfriend. Those of you who do probably rent her attention with dinners you can't afford and patience you don't have.

In terms of difficulty, starting a family is now following the same graph as Bitcoin's difficulty adjustment. Just upwards.

The food they sell you is poison.

You're 25, living with parents. Independence postponed indefinitely. Adulthood turned into a subscription you can't cancel.

AI is reshaping the entire capitalistic model, while you still haven't finished your degree in "Modern Philosophy".

YOU NEED TO GET ANGRY.

Anger is the only emotion that produces force.

Sadness sedates. Sadness submits. Sadness turns structural failure into personal therapy sessions.

If you're just sad about the above, then you just cope with them and move on.

Anger is different. Anger refuses the current state as final. Anger creates friction.

You can be sad and blame the system. Or corporations. Or immigrants. Or Jews. Or capitalism. Or history. Pick a villain and the path ends in resignation.

Anger asks one thing only: what are you doing about it?

No outrage posts. No abstract debates.

Concrete action. Physical capability. Marketable skills.

Get angry about the current state of affairs.

Get your way out of this absolute mess that keeps you numb, broke and distracted.

You will either get what you want from life, or you die.

At least you will die for a purpose.

Now replace anger with persistence and I like that a whole lot more. I do feel like the anger is not the best way to produce.or at least not the only way but I have to admit that it is pretty darn effective
18  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin experiencing a dip right now on: February 07, 2026, 05:24:39 AM
Many beautiful dips along the way lol, we're in for a big one
This dip is wild if you ask me
It is wild and terrible with many people while there is only minority of people in this market see it beautiful or great for their accumulation. If you don't have plan of investing and holding your bitcoin a very long time, what happened is terrible for your portfolio. If you did not prepare your money for accumulation, you can not make purchases in this dip and past ones, so they're truly not good for you practically.

It seems that you already know the answer and the reason why Bitcoin's price has fallen at this time, you already know the answer, so you no longer need to be surprised by the current phenomenon and situation, we understand that the direction of Bitcoin's development is greatly influenced by sales and purchases.
I think you are talking about the market and price movements, not Bitcoin developments technically as Bitcoin developers do their work of developments behind the scene without effects from Bitcoin market. Bullish or bearish, developers keep working and their silent continous working are helpful for Bitcoin technical improvement and Bitcoin adoption growth as well.

Its definitely something that i think we all wished didnt have to happen but it fid amd we have to carry on
Stack up thr SATs and do what you have to do even if you didnt prepare ourselves
19  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can war make a country legalize gambling on: February 07, 2026, 05:19:21 AM

Online gambling has been illegal in Russia since 2009, but because of the growing budget deficit brought by on going war against Ukraine, officials are proposing to legalize online gambling.

But even if online gambling is illegal, the industry still made a $39 billion profit; just imagine the profit from taxes it would make if gambling were legal.

What do you think, will Putin allow the legalization of gambling just to sustain the economy, and sustain the war against Ukraine

Quote
In an effort to bolster state revenues amid a growing budget deficit, Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov has proposed the legalization of online casinos. The plan, presented to President Vladimir Putin, aims to provide a new source of income to offset the rising costs of the war against Ukraine. Siluanov’s suggestion, reported by Kommersant, aims to draw illegal online gamblers into the legal market, while also introducing stringent safeguards to curb addiction.

Russia Considers Legalizing Online Casinos Amid Financial Strain

I feel like Putin might do that in order to move the needle. I mean look the guy hasn't stopped yet and its been so long already that I feel like he will stop at nothing until he gets what he wants. Who would ever have thought that online gsmbling might make the difference lol

20  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the market influence your bet? on: February 07, 2026, 05:08:57 AM
Actually there are many people who loves using Bitcoin to gamble while there are others who do use other altcoins to gamble. I want to know in a situation like this where the market is extremely low, or has loose a lot percentage. Do you still care to use Bitcoin to gamble or you wouldn't use Bitcoin anymore due how much percentage of you have lost and probably when using BTC you are also attributing to your lost or you don't care about how low the price of Bitcoin could be while using it to gamble, and Or do you prefer switching to altcoin like stable coin or TRX just to make sure you secure your holdings?

I do find it hard to give up these precious sats when the time is here to accumulate more of them! Hopefully we will all win in our betting. I still need to place my super bowl bet!
