42  Other / Meta / Re: Auto ban!!! on: October 18, 2018, 07:17:11 AM
hilariousetc already clear why you got ban. Really forum doesn't need you, all of your post are only one or half line. You are copy pasting and over spamming. So there is no chance to get back your account. And you are not allowed to create new account. Your contribution is zero on forum. Forum banned you (a person), not only this account. All banned user excuse is same, "I didn't make any mistake".

Someone from DT should tag him to aware that he is alt of btcoin.
43  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchanges or wallets as a means of storing BTC? on: October 18, 2018, 06:08:09 AM
"But where are you keeping those bitcoins?

On Bitcoin exchanges like Binance, Bitfinex or hosted Bitcoin wallets such as Coinbase or CEX?

They are both using third party API. Keeping such as wallet like coinbase, it's equal to keep in exchange. They will not provide you private key. That's means you are going to handover your fund to third party.  Hacking is bad luck. They can even hack exchange or private key by using malicious program. This is another question.

But if you are going to store Bitcoin for long time, than you should put on your control. You could use Bitcoin core or Electeum. There is private key, means btc in your control. But you should write or print private key in safe place. Even your software got delete by somehow but you have private key, that means you are able to control your Bitcoin always. Like I have printout my recovery phrase and all private key. I keep it in safe place. I don't write only single place. I put it on multiple place. If in case lose one than I have to use other one.

Don't handover third party. Hacker always try to target exchange. So there isn't safe almost. For short term you could use wallet like blockchain. I believe blockchain is safer than others online wallet. Especially on exchange you have never control your Bitcoin. If they scammed means you will get scam( just example ).
44  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Suggestion Needed: where I can get free images to be used in writing. on: October 18, 2018, 05:47:25 AM
If you download from Google than it could be copyright claim. There are so many free stock image website. You could use them without any copyright claim. Just simply you can search on Google for such as image website. Since you are not using it officially, I believe you can use Google image easily. No one will claim(IMO). I noticed even lot of proffesional or official website using Google image. So I don't think this is big deal.
45  Other / Meta / Re: Merit as Freelance Payment? on: October 18, 2018, 05:01:00 AM
Just wondering are you admins allowing people or freelancers to get paid via Merit if the client doesnt have money and can only pay using his Merit? or this will result into an instant ban? Please let us know to avoid violation.

Thank you

No, this isn't allowed. It will be consider merit sale if you pay to freelancers. Obviously this is violation of rules. Merit system implemented to build a spam free decent forum. Not for sale or trade.

If caught similar case, admin have right to demerit. All send send merit will burn from receiver and sender will get tag. I am not sure about ban. If they are normal user or merit source rules is same for all. If I am not wrong, admin did before like this. But there should be strong evidence.

Here is admin answer;

Since it was a large amount and a clear-cut case, I deleted those merit sends
As I've said before, I'm not really worried about it. Especially at those high prices (plus the risk of being red-tagged), it's enough of a barrier that it should still serve its intended function of creating a significant cost/barrier for garbage-posters.

BTW, if any merit source goes rogue and sells a ton of merit, then I will probably go through the transaction graph and undo all of the transactions touched by that sold source-merit. Merit ain't no immutable cryptocurrency!
46  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: I have over 150 bitcointalk accounts on: October 17, 2018, 07:05:07 PM
The rules of account sale really annoying now. Peoples are posting on meta now to sale account. We are spending years to build an account but some one will come and buy ranked account. And obviously account buyer isn't good poster, he will spam on forum. I don't care about account trade on out side of forum. But forum itself should not allow. Is it really fair ?

I realized how hard to build an account from beginning. It's time to stop now account trading on forum. Let them realize about merit system.

I suggest you go back into your shell before someone (me) reveals your old scammer accounts.
do you really think anyone here believes you are some angel that joint this forum to protect it and never had an alt before?

So why are you waiting for?
47  Other / Meta / Re: What the hell is this? on: October 17, 2018, 06:43:26 PM
They are either bots or idiots because they are applying without knowing the rules and without wearing a signature.

Most likely they are bot and alt each others. Most of them are not submit bounty report yet. Some of already reported on other campaign. It't very sad that even they don't know about rank. On the other hand managers didn't made self moderate thread. That's why I have asked for implement rules for bounty managers.

Because he tagged you and looking for tag to your alt. I don't know why theymos allow to sell account. It's really need to reconsider rules, especially due to merit system. This is the rule, I really don't like.

if you dont stop putting your nose in the wrong places i'll expose you for the scumbag you really are, by exposing your old alternate accounts.

Sure, you are free to do it. Don't late to expose me Grin

Dont know realy why you open for every new thing a new thread !

This isn't spam report. I don't know really you read post or not. Quote are for example, I have reported them already and hope they will deleted. I am just asking about those are just joined on forum and start posting with good project. Most likely they joined only for bump. I am asking about that, is it possible ban them or not. I believe you got my point. Your mention thread is for reporting spam, not for discussion about something that could solved permanent. By ban like this account means mod will no need delete more post from then. And obviously they will spam only.

Although they aren't distributing ICO but their Airdrop is live. Perhaps they will sell token through their exchange on future. Most likely they will launch Exchange.

51  Other / Meta / Re: Moderators should ban those user's who is starting post with "Good project" on: October 17, 2018, 05:16:10 PM

A ban for a deleted post?, you must be kidding me, so many useful members of this forum,of different ranks(High and low), members that contribute effectively to the forum do at one point or the other have their posts deleted by the MOD for one reason or the other,though less frequently than the bounty spammers

There will be first post. Edited OP. Not exactly I mentioned for all user. Its just for newbie who is joined for bumping. How I believe they are not bumping? Just joined and post "Good project", what that means?

A self-moderated thread is the answer.
We can't give moderators tons of work by deleting new accounts for days.

Are they not deleting reported post ? So need stop reporting and let them take rest. They still working hard to prevent spam. Ban account will reduce mod work. Problem isn't for mod, problem is if there is no rules about ban account for spamming, they can't do themselves.
52  Other / Meta / Moderators should ban those user's who is starting post with "Good project" on: October 17, 2018, 04:39:23 PM
A bounty thread continuously bumping thread daily more than 5 page. Today they have bump 6 page. Since I don't have proof they are using paid bumping I have bookmarked it for daily report. Mod could check my report history. Hope mod will handle it.

During reporting time I have found some account those are just joined and their first post is "Good project". Not only this post, there are many. If a user first comment is "Good project" than how are we expect he will contribute something for forum. Is he not joined for thread bumping only? At least I will not believe that they are assets of forum. Account has created only for bumping thread. I know, obviously everyone one will report this kind of post and post will get deleted. But do you think they should ban also?

They aren't just spamming, they are misleading investors and wasting time of others members who are reporting spam post. So why not just ban them on single report ? I think it would be better " User will ban if his first post get deleted by moderators for spamming on forum and bumping thread". I am not sure if temp ban is appropriate. But they should punished by the way.

Below are just sample for show; I think mod. already handle it, that's why I have archived.

53  Other / Meta / Re: Banned. Reason: Participating in an on-forum altcoin giveaway.  on: October 17, 2018, 12:04:59 PM
Forum doesn't need you. You contribution is zero and you have been violating forum rules. I am wondering, why not permaban ?  I am expecting you will get permaban very soon. This is your second ban means you have no more chance. Next violation will be your last violation. Although you have made lots of post but only bounty thread. Even you can't earned single merit till now, so why forum need you ?

I just got curious about this though, it seems that @Bommi also uses the same FB account. Co-incidence? Hmmm...

I'm guessing, this a friend of friend, under one community, and who's life solely depend on bounties.  Huh

No, both is single person. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1570740 and @OP. Accidently couldn't post on multiple thread.

I have archived post history if bommi post history: http://archive.is/rnzsH

Both account should be tagged.

Actually he is promoting his website. Obviously he will get ban due to so many copy paste of own post. He has more copy paste post like this post. He has made 6 thread on same board.

They have more account connected for spamming. Check telegram user name;

55  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Pitcheum "self-drop" very likely SCAM - possibly related to Sunx ICO on: October 17, 2018, 06:16:02 AM
Was this proven scam?
I came across this thread yesterday so I had to ask newsilike to oay me in eth instead for the signature he requested me to make and he claims that it isn't.

Most likely you are a signature designer. So why you accept payment by token ? There are any guaranty that they will never scam ? A manager how give you gurranty that they will not scam and they legit. Is he a part of this ICO? Don't waste your time for worthless token. If you are signature designer than you should ask pay by btc or eth. Don't accept token as payment this kind of project. Especially for all ICO you should asked they pay by btc.
56  Other / Meta / Re: %90 of topics are same on: October 17, 2018, 05:35:15 AM
is that all for merit or what?

No, this kind of post are not made for merit. They made for signature spam. Whoever post this kind of thread he doesn't expect merit. This is the result of signature campaign. We know very well that every signature campaign has minimum required. That's why people's make similar question and similar reply just for increase quantity. They never care about quality. So it will never ends.
57  Other / Meta / Re: Redirection to referall links allowed? on: October 17, 2018, 05:22:33 AM
In that case I report them and write on  comment, "embedded refferal link on the post". And report has marked good always. It's seems to me posts are already got delete. Means your report are working effectively.

59  Other / Meta / Re: Obvious fake bumping, but there's no proof. What to do? on: October 17, 2018, 03:44:52 AM
From my experience, we can't do anything if there is no solid proof. We can just report spam post. If there is solid proof that they are asking for bump thread by any external link than you can send PM to moderators. They will trash the thread. I have reported so many thread like that and got trashed. Even OP will ban. For example;

Asking for reply on ANN with JOIN : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5035385.0
Trashed the thread, temp banned the OP and airdrop participants.

If there is no solid proof, than I bookmark the thread and report everyday. I have bookmarked lot of thread those I think they are using paid bumping. So spammer can't bump continually. If you found more than 100 spammer or bumper daily report them and send a pm to mod with details. They will check and perhaps they will trashed or lock thread.
60  Other / Meta / Re: bounty rules and ban on: October 16, 2018, 02:50:53 PM
Read all rules from pin post of bounty board. On addition you have to careful those are direct related with forum, like signature bumping thread etc.

Additional advice;
1. You can allow to post of proof of authonication, but you could collect bounty report by Google form to avoid spam. Few reputed managers are doing as well.

2. Better if you can avoid Jr. Member for signature campaign and require merit for signature campaign. Like Jr. Member should have minimum 2 merits, Memebe 12 merit, full member 110 merit. So you will get quality poster and it will help reduce spam. For example read this thread; https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4675126.0

3. Don't try to bump your thread, help forum to avoid spam.

4. If you really want to prevent spam than create self moderated bounty thread, so that you would be able to delete spam post.

Here is more suggestion, may be it would be help you.
