122  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Sam Bankman Fried (scam banker fraud) 25 years on: March 29, 2024, 03:01:42 PM
I am sure that such terms are received by people with much smaller amounts of fraud. That's who will be dissatisfied with the verdict, comparing their misdeeds with the billions stolen by Sam. Nevertheless, 25 years—this is a quarter of a human life—let him be gnawed by the understanding that nothing can replace the freedom that he lost for 25 years.
123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies take bitcoin as long term Choice to get the best out of bitcoin on: March 29, 2024, 02:38:43 PM
That's right, OP. And this is precisely why you are there, those people who understand the risks of investing in Bitcoin, to warn beginners and interested people that they may lose everything instead of the expected profit. I prefer to immediately cool the ardor of my friends who, seeing how Bitcoin is growing and hearing how some people were able to increase their capital, tell them about the pitfalls that they may encounter.
By praising Bitcoin and telling only the positives, we become unwitting instigators of unprepared people for future collapses.
But those beginners who act on their own, without reading or listening to those who warn them to be more attentive to all aspects of storage, deadlines, and knowledge in general, will simply receive life lessons until they grow wiser.
124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: what percentage can a post be described as AI generated? on: March 29, 2024, 02:13:58 PM
If you write the posts yourself and use some tools to debug your grammar, you are unlikely to get a response from AI detection sites saying that you are using chatbot text. On the forum, you can very well notice the difference in human speech, which is filled with emotions, feelings, and texts containing dry statements that AI usually produces. If we talk about percentages, somewhere between ninety and one hundred, you can usually start being accused of using AI.
125  Economy / Reputation / Re: [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source on: March 29, 2024, 12:57:43 PM

That is how I evaluate my post but if you feels my post doesn't convey any meaningful message to you as the reader then I have no choice than you doing what you feels like +-.

Girlfriend, just look at the merits that LoyceV gives out and read the posts that touch him. You'll probably see that spark that LoyceV likes.

126  Other / Meta / Re: Alts vs farm. on: March 29, 2024, 12:40:35 PM

I don't know why people keep answering the one when it wasn't a question. It was just a statement while the other two are questions. Yet they are scared of giving explicit answers for number 2 and 3.

You know, for a long time, there were sites that paid pretty decent money for completing certain registrations, surveys, and other tasks. But according to the site's requirements, it was believed that it was necessary to be a unique individual. That is, you must have everything different, including an IP address, browser, device, and, of course, address and name. If all conditions were met, the site paid for each new person on a new device. But this was quite difficult to implement since the site saw all the slightest trackers, including the computer processor and video cards. Nevertheless, people managed to engage in multi-accounts. The browser anti-detect was created for similar purposes, but at that time it cost good money.

I wrote all this as an example of what you are asking about today. Multi-accounts are allowed on the forum, and only detectives who find connections through social networks, transactions, and similar matches are involved in catching them.

I agree that not a single experienced cheater will come and admit how many accounts he has. As long as the forum allows it, you can create hundreds of alternative accounts.

But if the ban is at the hardware level, so that registration is prohibited by matching trackers, the number of accounts will be reduced to one account per device. It's simple. But here we must choose either freedom or uniqueness.
127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is age a limitation in Bitcoin on: March 28, 2024, 01:41:05 PM
Today's teenagers sometimes have unique abilities to make money online. Without taking them anywhere offline, what prevents them from buying Bitcoin? The aggregator that is in my signature will provide very large options for purchasing Bitcoin, and it does not need your data unless, of course, you commit fraud. All coins are checked to see if the exchanger suspects something. In all other cases, a teenager who skillfully plays games and sells his heroes, for example, and buys Bitcoin will be able to build good capital for himself by the time he comes of age, naturally understanding all the intricacies of handling Bitcoin.

But again, the acceleration of today's teenagers and their level of knowledge on the Internet can sometimes easily cover the experience of an adult. Therefore, we can only welcome the desire of young people to invest their money in Bitcoin.
128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Some Crypto investor beginners are acting professional impacting wrong knowledge on: March 28, 2024, 08:57:02 AM

It is better of you introduce the person to this bitcointalk discussion forum to learn by itself than you claiming professional to them while you are still a beginner.

This is the best thing you can advise a friend if a person really wants to help him. But most often, it happens a little differently. Someone learns that you can somehow make money in crypto; he starts on his own, and, wanting to be a leader, in order to seem important, he begins here and there to advise his friends to invest money everywhere. This is human psychology; many people lack recognition, but here he may seem cool. As a result, both he and his acquaintances lose, and such a person again finds himself a fool.

But there are also real friends who, realizing that they have found a place where everyone can learn a lot of information not only from him but be on an equal footing with everyone else and ask the majority, will definitely tell about this forum. In this case, people are given the freedom to make choices, make mistakes, or improve their knowledge and experience.
129  Other / Meta / Re: [Theymos] To reduce tension from adding more merits source on: March 28, 2024, 08:34:12 AM

You are very sensitive, OP. The forum is not a kindergarten. If a person cannot, then it is he who needs to try harder and not pat him on the head and wipe his snot.
You are absolutely correct my dear sister from another country..
But we must know that forum is a bit tough though but with the help everyone will be happy, I don't have any interest to gain or lose anything if this is not implement but everyone should be involved in the freedom of the forum. If I could recall, the forum sole purpose is freedom and awareness of bitcoin across the globe, so everyone should have that freedom to enjoy everything that comes from bitcoin and it's forum, but this doesn't mean spam and Plagiarism should be tolerated or poorly account should be given this requirements.

Why do you think learning about Bitcoin requires merit? Your idea only contributes to an increase in rank. You can read and ask questions about Bitcoin for free. Moreover, as was already noted here earlier, this is precisely what makes the forum unique. Now everything is for sale, but there is live communication. Go and eat knowledge.

I know your reasons for wanting to help everyone who wants to rise in rank, and I am not at all against it, understanding how important it is for some countries to participate in signature companies. But please, let's not confuse different concepts, ranks, and knowledge. This is where I think there will be equality.
130  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI usage, 3rd time in a few months on: March 28, 2024, 08:01:27 AM
That is, if you follow the thoughts of The Sceptical Chymist and how he reacted to the decision to leave a negative review, is it worth giving users several chances to correct their posting?

For example, we currently leave neutral reviews for those who have been caught using AI and have had their posts deleted by moderators. Everything happens logically: a report is sent to the moderators, they agree and delete the posts, and the user receives a tag.

But often accounts, even after receiving this tag, continue to use AI in the same way. How many times does it take for the user to wake up and realize that the neutral tag will soon turn into a red tag?
131  Other / Meta / Re: Alts vs farm. on: March 28, 2024, 07:26:37 AM
Why are so many alternative accounts created? There will be no questions about two or three accounts. Work, home, mobile. And often, such accounts do not hide themselves. But it is very, very rare that more than four alternative accounts will be created without participating in the same bounty or signature companies and without sending merits to each other. Even if such a thing exists, such a number of posts is simply incredible work, and it is doubtful that a person will create good posts.
Therefore, it is correct what Timelord2067 says: the greed of people raising farms on the forum leads to a bad ending.
132  Other / Meta / Re: What's Beginners and help section really about on: March 28, 2024, 06:30:29 AM

There's a lot of users here in our community who doing it and most of them are those newbies even though we can not say that they can grow faster if they don't do that but still it's matter how they want to grow. And actually Reading the pinned topics in beginners and help board is a must and have a good guidance. It will guide's newbies to start their journey here in our community. Anyways those users who are making  a introduction thread then still it will highly appreciated.

Yes, I remember all your guides when you started your journey on the forum and how you carefully reposted all the links for beginners. But is this necessary? I also participate in many other forums, and there is no need to create a presentation topic because someone came to the forum. Yes, someone came to the forum, hurray! How did everyone live here without you? Now go read. We will know everything about you if you show yourself. Show yourself to those who want and can read, where all the answers are obvious and visible.

But newbies decide that we should all know about them by asking questions, the answers to which sometimes contain the length of an entire forum.

I'll stop here. But you get the point.
If newbies read the pinned threads, there will be no need for these introduction.

Nevertheless, people themselves condone the spread of such topics by responding to everyone and every topic with the same links. It was not for nothing that I mentioned Shamm, since he was once reprimanded.

Looking at your post history, I would advise you to focus more on learning about crypto and forum in general before making guides on those topics. More often than not, asking a good question worth more than just another newbie guide.

Observe that everyone writes the same thing, advising the same thing. But why doesn’t everyone think that beginners can find all the answers themselves? This is where the one who comes for knowledge, and who comes for ranks and merits, will show up.
133  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: In a discussion, you discuss! on: March 28, 2024, 05:50:10 AM

I have also spotted occasions like this... It's not very odd though. People (sometimes me included), tend to read the OP and then construct an answer without reading the previously mentioned ones.

I don’t think you are doing the same, at least not repeating what was said before you in the post above. But I’m talking about the fact that one person at the beginning of the topic asks a simple question, someone answers him, and this is essentially enough, but then a series of the same thoughts follows, only in different words. What is this for? It is clear to everyone that the questioner received an answer. Not understanding it means being completely stupid. But the topic goes on for many pages, increasing the amount of spam.
I am always uncomfortable answering this way, knowing that I will look like someone who has not read the above. Such answers are either egoistic, which expresses itself in the fact that a person thinks that his answer is cooler. Or simply fulfilling a quota (and this is most often), but here the person answering makes himself look ridiculous. I emphasize that the question is very simple to answer. But in more complex cases, on the other hand, different opinions are always interesting.
134  Other / Meta / Re: [Theymos] To reduce tension from adding more merits source on: March 28, 2024, 05:28:34 AM
So-so idea; I don’t think it will be of much use. I like the words of BitcoinGirl.Club: those who can’t do it mean they haven’t matured yet. It's simple. Why do you, OP, want to simplify everything? Keep track of those who are receiving large amounts of merit from today's merit sources. Some sources of merit distribute several dozen merits to one account at a time. But what's next? Then those who receive these merits distribute them exclusively to those who are in their local section for posts that are not worth it. By simplifying the system, on the contrary, you will pull everything down. Besides, why do you need to simplify? If five hundred merits are required, then having received them, doesn’t the account have the opportunity to send half of its merits to others? Go ahead and give it away.

You are very sensitive, OP. The forum is not a kindergarten. If a person cannot, then it is he who needs to try harder and not pat him on the head and wipe his snot.
135  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: In a discussion, you discuss! on: March 26, 2024, 01:11:59 PM
Excellent topic, and specifically in the section for beginners. But you know, OP, a lot of newbies aren't real newbies. There was a time when the creator of a topic had greater prospects of receiving merit than all the subsequent answers to the topic. This was used by many accounts that managed to create several alternative accounts for themselves. And although the boom has already passed, threads with statements like “Hello, I’m new; tell me everything about the forum” happen every day.
You are right that any topic should have a user response and be naturally supported by those who open it. But in fact, sometimes we see a hundred pages of rephrased answers that have the same meaning.
What can I recommend to anyone who wants to know, ask, or, on the contrary, teach something? Do not leave your topics unattended; monitor them, and if you receive sufficient information, show the ability to close the topics yourself so as not to condone further spam.
136  Other / Meta / Re: Poll: Acceptability of Signature Wearer's Use of Insults and Foul Language on: March 26, 2024, 11:42:54 AM
The forum supports freedom of speech; those who are too tender and cannot sleep from the insults of strangers should press the ignore button more often. Also, there are those here who always recommend putting on thick skin. For some, obscene words are poured with mother's milk; should they be blamed for it? This is a problem of upbringing, and if a person is what he is, just accept him as he is; it’s better than prevaricating, pretending to be a gentleman, and in the end, holding a knife behind his back.
There are plenty of these lies offline. It's better to be a good person who knows how to swear than a quiet, well-mannered scum.
137  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: cruel level of addiction, causing harms and still keeping it up on: March 25, 2024, 03:27:37 PM
It's hard to understand why they cant just stop. Could be due to mental health problem or lack of support.  It takes a lot of courage, willingness, and determination to break free from addiction, so it's recommended for them to seek professional help to have successful recovery.

I also can’t understand this. After all, to gamble, you always need money. This means that it is not poor people who acquire such dependence. If a person does not have the means to play, how can he want something?
They write a lot about psychologists and compare it with drug addiction. There is a free way to wean yourself from this addiction. Take all the money and send him to work where there is no casino or Internet. A person will simply have to do something to survive.
138  Economy / Reputation / Re: AI usage, 3rd time in a few months on: March 25, 2024, 12:52:18 PM

Correct me if I am wrong, I have came across where the said poster made a reply to either any of these #2 and #3 saying that he also tried to check their post and the AI detector detects their post to be AI generated, although I don't know how true is this. But I will also like us to check your personal post to know if the AI detector could still give you same result, this is a tools developed by human like you & I and there is no guaranteed that this tools is giving you an absolute results apart from give a guess feedback whereby people would start painting someone profile as red or giving them neutral tags for a common mistake done by the tools issuing out random results.

I think to me the one that should be more effective on members should be a copy and paste content without any link linked to the original author maybe if someone continue to repeat this kind of post without referencing the original creator or author then you can as well tag such person as a plagiarism user who does not make or create it's own original content than stealing someone else as his personal post. However, I am not against anyone doing his find on those that uses AI to post but we should also try to check most of our personal post to see the results if it appears the same then we can say the tools is giving a random answer to people's post, though I hardly use those tools to detects people post.

Have you read the thread opened by nutildah? If you say so, then it is completely clear that before we accuse someone of using AI tools, we check on several sites. And some sites are almost always NOT wrong.
If you looked at this topic more often, you would be convinced of this.
I'm sure these tools weren't invented by people like you or me Grin. This is done by people who know a lot about it.

In addition, a person who posts news without a link is most often banned. And in this particular case, no red marks are required, since copying is direct plagiarism, followed by punishment, namely a ban.

I have no words. I spread my hands. You don't read the entire post and people's responses.

Scammers are always finding new ways to steal your money using cryptocurrency. To steer clear of a crypto scam, here are some things to know.

[A] Crypto scams often aim to gain private information, such as security codes, or to trick a person into sending cryptocurrency to a digital wallet that may be compromised.

]Always do your research to ensure the crypto software wallet or crypto exchange or app is trustworthy before signing up for.

Only scammers will guarantee profits or big returns. Don’t trust people who promise you can quickly and easily make money in the crypto markets.

Never mix online dating and investment advice. If you meet someone on a dating site or app, and they want to show you how to invest in crypto, or asks you to send them crypto, that’s a scam.

140  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think merit is by chance or lengthy article? on: March 25, 2024, 09:46:27 AM
Another trivial topic from a newbie. I always wonder, OP, at what time do newbies have the epiphany of merit to create topics like this? Don't you read what other newbies write about this? Practically repeating what was said many times. But I always assumed that someone who has gone through this experience and can set their own example should talk about it.
OP, if you don't want to look stupid, then after this thread, you should blow up the forum with the amount of merit that will rain down on you. After all, you have now learned the truth. Otherwise, all your words are just theory, but where is the practice?
