As a pool runner I can say The only way that happens that i know of is if the block rewards were set too high and not set automatically adjust. I thought I checked this and it was correct. What was the problem?
That's apparently what happened. Rewards were 10% higher than they should have been. It ate up all pool fees and left the reserve empty. I lost 1.2M as well.. Well, i am not a fanboy or anything, lags suck as i said, but do you realize that they owe you nothing? You pay fees only after they provide a service for you, not the other way around. So if you can't start trading ASAP, it's your problem, not their. If they want to improve the site, they will fix the lags. Those constant threads about how Cryptsy sucks won't help in any way. Are you a programmer? Go tell them how to optimize the code so it will work better. You can't just rent a thousand of servers in no time to fix all this, it takes time. You either wait, or go to competitors, that's how free market works. Remember, they owe you NOTHING except for executing orders as intended. If you encountered that Double Order problem (never happened to me before), go explain the situation to BitJohn, he will fix it, stop misinforming people that Cryptsy steals your money. It's a technical problem, not a scam.

The majority of those people spilling dirt on Cryptsy are those losers who send their coins to the wrong wallet or simply want to jump on the train ASAP and when they can't transfer their money instantly they start raging, saying that Cryptsy stole their money. Truly pathetic.
This exchange have one big problem: lags. But it's understandable considering the amount of markets out there and those hundred wallets everyone have. I can't imagine the amount of info the servers have to process each day. And i guess until it's fixed there will be no Escrow\trade for USD feature because you will need 10x the servers you have now.
Yeah, it sucks if we speak about constant lags, but Cryptsy is the best we have. All the haters should just go elsewhere, this will fix the lag problem in no time.
PS: some buy orders should not be allowed: for example those orders for hundreds of 42Coins when there are only 1-2 in existance right now, and a maximum of 42. Also, it would be nice to see a list with all account wallet addresses in there. I am so tired to scroll that endless list of coins just to find the right coin and then having to do like 4 clicks to get the job done. Interface looks wonderful, but it lacks the usability.
