It's hard to replicate what Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum and all those early coins did before the crypto space started going crazy. Most of what we have now are just copycats and scams, masquerading as the coins of the future. Mining such new POW coins today is just a gamble that may or may not pay off.
Ethereum started as 100% pre-mine. I member...

Anybody else member actual cryptocurrencies? Like a fair launch, open to everybody, first coins attained by Proof of Work mining? ASIC resistant mining? A chart that starts at zero or very close to it rather than starting high and dwindling down while projects hemorrhage cash for operating expenses?

Epic Cash is quite good for CPU mining.
There's a bit of a learning curve but EPIC is uniquely profitable compared to other coins. And it's a fantastic crypto if you're into actual crypto fundamentals. Decentralization, speed, privacy, security, scalability, fungibility, unstoppable money kind of stuff.
Most people don't understand it and get confused at first because of how it works. It switches deterministically between 3 mining algos: ProgPoW for GPU, RandomX for CPU, and Cuckoo which can be mined by GPU or ASIC. It's allocated in such a way that it adds up to a total distribution of 48% GPU, 48% CPU, and 4% ASIC/GPU.
This means that miners can either use the project provided mining software and save 52% energy costs by not mining when the algo is dormant.
Or... the miner can use 3rd party software like ttminer and srbminer that will switch between other algos the miner might be interested in when the EPIC mining algo is dormant for their hardware (CPU or GPU).
Like I said.. bit of a learning curve but once you learn it's very worthwhile.

Remember Kaspa's vision in the first place: To be mineable on photonic coprocessor ASICs. The beautiful narrative: ESG compliance with 1/10 energy cost while achieving ASIC performance. The ugly truth: Specialized mining equipment optimized for corporate industry raping.
Remember crypto guys? What does decentralized, trustless, fair launch, etc etc mean to you?

A. Privacy coins are needed for regulatory compliance. Privacy coins and regulatory compliance can not come together in one sentence. Maybe in future when your Governments that have a regulatory framework where they want to poke their noses on anyone's business are abolished, but not today. B. It's amazing how so many people are sleeping on EPIC. Might be a bit of a learning curve but once you get it you get it. No other coin than EPIC has been more profitable to mine with CPU and GPU since 2019. No, it wasn't a fluke. It is not a scam. It's real and people will wake up very VERY soon.
Don't ridicule, just show people why you think EPIC has been more profitable to mine suing GPU's and GPU's since 2019 There are obviously so many reasons the coin is not popular. The trading volume isn't doing great, too. A. There is absolutely every reason to expect privacy coins and regulatory compliance to come together in one sentence. We have lawyers and tech experts in our community that get it. Aside from that, constitutional law is actually a thing regardless of how much lawmakers want to ignore it. Zero-Knowledge proofs are an important way for businesses to factually disclose information while maintaining privacy. B. I've been doing that since I made this thread, plenty of times I've done the calcs: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5335535.0 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5335535.msg57380705#msg57380705 https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5335535.msg58109646#msg58109646 And it's not just about all the snapshots in time when EPIC was more profitable to mine. It is also all about the price performance over time. This guy has some great data on that: https://twitter.com/el_mcmurphyThe coin is rising in popularity. BTC took a long time to grow and there are plenty who still won't touch it. EPIC is right on schedule and will surpass all other cryptos.

I have never seen where a graphic card is capable of mining four different coins at the same times, different algorithms for that matter, are you for real? For the fact that this is running on a P102-100 gpu makes me believe this can't be real, that is a weak graphic card, can you provide a screenshot?
The team black miner can miner 3 coins at the same time https://github.com/sp-hash/TeamBlackMiner/tree/main/Windows%20Launch%20Scripts/ETC%2BVTC%2BZILKASPA doesn't use the memory part of the gpu so it can be mined in parallell with ETC+ZIL+VTC. ZIL pow is 1 minute of mining in every hour. VTC is only using 50% memory so ETC can be mined with a small profit in parallell P100-102 from 2018 (similar to gtx 1080ti) ETC: 10MHASH $0.0298 (Ethereum classic) ZIL: 50MHASH $0.2901 (Zilliqa) VTC; 860khash $0.1911 (vertcoin) kaspa: 440MHASH $0.2602 (kaspa) $0.77 profit per 24hour. I can just mine EPIC on ProgPoW with a 1080TI and make $1.06 daily with 52% energy savings. Soon other miners will come to you and, as always, profit will drop. Although this coin is hard to sell. It is only traded on the unknown ViteX exchange and there is very little trading. Where do you sell your coins? DYNEX gives slightly less profit, but it is easier to sell. EPIC anticipated the onslaught of departed ETH miners by adjusting the polyphasic distribution from 62/38/2 (CPU/GPU/ASIC) to 48/48/4 and, so far, this allocation has been excellent in balancing purchasing demand and profitability to miners despite having 7X'd the network hashrate since ETH's beacon chain merge. So, it's not a matter of "soon other miners will come..." they have come and EPIC has performed very well. ViteX is DEX with mobile apps on iOS and Android that are non-custodial (your keys/your crypto). The Vite token is on Binance which happened back in late 2019/early 2020 by way of large community support. They are a community of 10's of thousands with pretty cool independent projects such as VINU spinning up on their infrastructure. Just saying, ViteX isn't exactly 'unknown'. They are a solid DEX for those who prefer the DEX option. CEX are coming soon for EPIC. CoinStore (#60 on CMC) listing is imminent. We were on Bitmart for a brief time but their business model was unsustainable and we have better feedback from our peers regarding exchanges like CoinStore and MEXC. We are looking at MEXC next possibly late this year or sometime in 2024. ChangeNOW is also coming soon which is a service similar to MoonPay and Simplex.

I'm making a list of coins you can mine with GPUs in 2023. I'm talking about solid, chad and based coins, not the grifting ones.
So far on my list there is;
Conflux Kaspa Ironfish Prasaga Aleo(.)org Minima(.)Global
Anyone have any other suggestions to add this to the list?
Mine Epic Cash. When you consider the same fundamentals as considered at cyrptoratingcouncil.com Epic Cash scores highest as an actual cryptocurrency. Even if you decide EPIC isn't your cup of tea it is far more profitable than anything else and you could just sell the EPIC to buy whatever. I know plenty of people happy to buy EPIC sold by miners.

I'm going to comment here because a few days ago I looked into XMR mining out of curiosity. I've mined a lot of monero in previous years, I've even bought Ryzen processors just to leave mining in the rig while I mined other coins with the GPU. My current 5900x I have because of monero.
The attitude of the devs to have an asics-proof algorithm is very good, but unfortunately many hackers use malicious apps to mine XMR, which greatly increases the difficulty of the currency. Nowadays mining with a single processor is not even worth it, there is no profit.
Once in a while there is a coin that can be mined with a CPU that gives profits, but when we hear about it, it's probably already too late.
I suspect that a huge number o hashrate is from malwares and cloud services mining monero
Anyone here is still mining XMR?
The botnet/malware argument is stale and monolithic in scope. Cryptocurrencies are still a best effort bleeding edge technology 'in the works'. Ideal is 1 CPU = 1 Vote as Satoshi stated in the BTC whitepaper. I'll take botnet CPU algorithms where the majority of miners are using gaming rigs (potentially billions of us) over the massive corporatocracy that is the industry of ASIC mining. A more ideal iteration of Proof of Work would be mineable on mobile phones. Once again, the herd power of billions of mobile phone users would trump narrow examples of malware and the few potential super-clustered warehouse of mobile phones some crazy dude setup.

So much misinformation in this thread.
A. Privacy coins are needed for regulatory compliance. Ever heard of citizen's rights to protection from illegal search and seizure? Jay-Z has. He even raps about it.
C. Please do some research before posting information for others to consume. Really disappointed in what I'm reading in this thread guys. We can do better. We have to.
Please start by reading "Shelling Out" by Nick Szabo and then we can start to have an intelligent discussion about why we're in crypto and why privacy attributes are absolutely essential to actual cryptocurrencies.

Just some updates:
1. Epic Pay mobile wallet has been released on Android and iOS. It is useable but still considered beta while broader connectivity is achieved to things like Vite and other exchanges coming soon. We are also on Stack Wallet mobile app, also on Android and iOS. Both of these mobile apps are developed by Cypher Stack whom we absolutely LOVE for their embracement of FOSS.
2. CoinStore listing is imminent. I expect by April or May. Technical integrations are underway. This exchange is similar to MEXC in platform and growth. The EPIC community is excited to grow with CoinStore!
3. ChangeNOW listing is imminent. Similar service as MoonPay, Transak, and Simplex so this gets Epic Cash onto more network and fiat ramps.
4. Our community growth and outreach is phenomenal. Ordinary people like you and I are getting involved putting up billboards in Nigeria, signage on public buses and sports venues in Turkey, Earthquake relief in Turkey, Music events in the US, independent podcasts and Twitter spaces, and MUCH more!
5. We are back up to 3 mining pools now that epicmine.io has spun their servers up again! Fastepic.eu also made improvements to their pool to be more user friendly. And of course, our beloved "pool boy" is providing the awesome and amazing 51pool!
Oh and... EPIC IS STILL THE MOST PROFITABLE TO MINE!!! Our price performance has been mighty fine I tell you!
Lots more going on. Come check us out! t.me/epiccash
