I'm pondering on what are people's thoughts on starting a company specifically aimed at mining crypto-currency, but not in the cloud sellers type, considering all of the available EU subsidies could it be made profitable by incorporating green energy and focusing solely on mining crypto's.

It will depend on the amount of regulation that is enforced, over regulating the crypto market would be a really bad idea, since it will drive a lot of people away.

Both have their values, it's really dependent on what you're investing into, there are great long term coins but there are also great short term coins, plus you need to keep a eye out for ICO's.
