141  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: CRYPTO ARTIST sharing and exploring with Bitcointalk on: June 21, 2019, 05:57:47 PM
My newest piece is a light spirited critique of the depression of the last year.

1Dq, The Wailing of Crypto Winter, 2019, Acrylics on Canvas, 22,6x15,7″(60x40cm)

Feel free to comment as always, cheers!
142  Economy / Collectibles / The Wailing of Crypto Winter - A new comic on canvas by 1Dq on: June 21, 2019, 01:36:00 PM
Hello everybody, I'm back with a new piece:

1Dq, The Wailing of Crypto Winter, 2019, Acrylics on Canvas, 22,6x15,7″(60x40cm)

I've been fooling around a bit with the context of "Crypto Winter". It always seemed more or less an illusion, as the future of Bitcoin (and Crypto in general) is rock solid.

To some immense forces (the Whales) this must sometimes have seemed like a game. The title came to me naturally, instead of the hated "whaling", here we have "wailing" and it's not on the part of the Whales!  Grin

Enjoy

As for Andreas - he might have seen it as it was posted on Reddit, but there was no direct reply. I'd love to hear his comment on it!  Grin

Maybe you can try it from here
https://aantonop.com/miscellaneous-requests/

Or if you use other social networks
https://twitter.com/aantonop
https://www.facebook.com/AndreasMAntonopoulos/
https://www.linkedin.com/in/amantonopoulos/
https://www.youtube.com/aantonop

I think he'll like it  Tongue

I submitted via his request at the time the painting was first posted, but never got a reply. Maybe I could try again, but I don't want to be pushy - sooner or later it'll get to him as I become better known.

Thank you for your uplifting comment!

I'm trying my best to give the broader Bitcoin scene an artistic visual representation it deserves.

As for Andreas - he might have seen it as it was posted on Reddit, but there was no direct reply. I'd love to hear his comment on it!  Grin

I posted it on Reddit to share some of those Bitcoin beams with more crypto folks. Cool

Wow, it really came out nice!

Will we get to see it hanging on the wall with other collectibles?  Wink

The Bitcoin Miner, 2018, Acrylics and golden leafs on canvas, 43,7"x 35,8" (111 x 91cm)

I wanted to make mining Bitcoin look epic  Grin

I used real gold for the coin:

This is also my favorite painting! Do you have a website of your artwork?

Not yet. Until recently Sha256art gallery handled my promotion (currently still up: https://www.sha256art.com/), but I'm figuring out how to do it on my own. I'm probably going to construct my own page, maybe use twitter or instagram, but mostly I'll just hang around here, because I really like this place and its people!  Cool

Egging on the Future, 2018, Acrylics and Golden leafs on Canvas, 25,6 x 21,7" (65 x 55cm)

This time I'm representing Mr. Andreas Antonopoulos. Backdrop is a remake of an old futuristic distopic landscape.

To contrast his focused and unyielding stare is his crazy shirt with the egg pattern (with yolk looking like shining coins), which makes half of the title. The other half is of course his constant effort to push and promote Bitcoin.

The details below show how the Golden leafs do their 23 karat job.

The painting is framed as seen below and available for purchase.

Maybe raffle one Cool

That would be something!

It's been my idea since I joined here about making an art project around this forum. It might have as a goal a set of pieces I could give away for free.

I'll probably start a thread for it soon and ask everybody to join in on brainstorming!

I just might.

I've been thinking about making my first auction here soon, tho it would probably be for some other piece as this one is pretty special to me.

Btw, I am no longer in business relations with Sha256art gallery, so I can now freely do these if I want!

156  Other / Meta / Re: [LOG] The ranked up members - Congratulations! on: May 31, 2019, 08:06:48 AM
The logs and chart on the first page have been updated. Since there are already too many users in the lists of new Sr. Members and Hero Members, now I use the third post which I reserved before.

bill gator is a new Legendary! joniboini and coinlocket$ who are active in indonesian and italian local boards respectively have also received enough merits to rank up to this level but do not have sufficient activity.

This week ChiBitCTy and DireWolfM14 have become Hero Members.

vroom has ranked up to Sr. Member. cestmoi, witcher_sense and GreatArkansas who are active in french, russian and philippine local boards respectively have also reached this position.

1Dq and Sharon121212 are new Full Members. Dzeronimo who is active in the croatian local board has also been promoted to this level.

Congratulations on ranking up!  Cool
Awesome, thanks!
