1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ravencoin [RVN] PoW GPU Mining | Asset Transfer Blockchain (Updated ANN) on: April 12, 2018, 09:35:53 AM
The raven coin is a good coin regard with the thing they wana do : asset transfer on blockchain
But I have to say x16r  is not ASIC resistant.
As we all know , DASH asic miner is produced. The difference between X16R and X13 is  : the hash order in
X13 is fixed and X16R is changed according to the previous HASH value.

But unfortunately , in ASIC , this change is so easy to implement. The brief solution is :

reg [4*16-1:0] hash_val;

always @( posedge clk)
if ( one_of_16_hash_done)
  hash_val <= hash_val <<4 ;

and the asic implement all 16 hash. The process likes as flows:
when hash_val is x(for example, first 4 bit value is 0) , blake hash start to run,when black hash done ,it responds to above code
hash_val shift to next four bits, and the hash_val is y(for example , first 4bit value is 1) , then bmw hash start to run,when done ,it responds
to above code ....

---------------------------------
And the dev has to change the 16 hash algro to fight back, but in this way, it can't say this algro is anti-asic, as X13 can also change its 13 hash algro, or just like XMR does, change the code.

------------
But I have to say the X16R algro is one of the feature of RVN, RVN's idea of assets is great. Just x16r is not really resistant-ASIC

Is there someone mining RVN with GTX1080(colorfull)
I use the nevermore mine software, the software show the hashrate is 12MH/s
but the pool shows only 9MH/s. So some hashrate is missing in my enviroment

I just wanna know whether someone else mining RVN with GTX1080 and the pool hashrate is similar
to the mining software shows , doesn't have so big gap ??

Thanks in advance

I was using suprminer on Ravenminer and I got more or less my 12 Mh/s per card.
Wich overclock setting do u use, by the way?

12Mh/s makes sense. So it seems my env is the cause.
I don't have overclock setting ,the card is running on the normal clock
your 12Mh/s  hashrate is gotten under overclock setting ?

Hi guys,
My 1063 hash is 31MH/S-33MH/S, sometimes it becomes 20MH/S. Is this normal? How much is everyone? Huh Huh Huh

Try this to see what average MH/s are:
http://ravencalc.xyz/ It under estimates MH/s by a small amount, if you are using Enemy miner it's about 10-15% low.

My Nvidia 1080 GPU, one card has 8M hash/s  hashrate using the suprmine1.5 mine software
Maybe the ravencalc.xyz  website's data is too high
 Cheesy
