Just got my latest order, 2 more gridseeds. They didn't come with power pigtails, but I figured I'd plug them in to my powered USB hub and see what happened. cgminer-3-7-2-gridseed detected them automatically and they started hashing away. cgminer detected them, but they show 0 WU after 10 minutes. The green lights blink, but no red lights like on my working units. The fans aren't running, but I'm told that doesn't matter in scrypt only mode.
Do these no longer ship with power pigtails? Is it official that it's safe to run them in scrypt only mode without the fans?
They still need external power even with a powered usb hub. It will show up in cgminer but it's not hashing. Gaw sells power adaptors and cables. For just two miners you could get a couple of cheap 12V 1A adaptors from ebay like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/271442451746?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649You don't need the fans for scrypt only mode but there is no on off switch, you have to actually cut the wires to turn it off. My first two came with barrel jack pigtails which I spliced into a spare cable that came with my PSU. I assumed these would as well, but they did not. Do GAW gridseeds no longer ship with power pigtails?

Any idea when vardiff will be working again?
Also, thank you for making this great pool and for being so responsive to your userbase!

Is anybody else having trouble accessing their user page? I can connect to the other clevermining pages, but when I try to load my user page I get a 504 error.
same. I can't even access the homepage. CloudFlare is working fine, so CleverMining might have gotten DDOSed? I thought the frontend couldn't be DDOSed, since CloudFlare is supposed to protect, but I guess there's still the possibility. They really should post updates to their twitter or here. If the web page is down but stratum is up, we get a bit jumpy.

Why is GAW deleting so many posts? I posted a question asking why the blades aren't listed on the website anymore and it was deleted. Other people have had legitimate questions deleted.
I had a good experience with my order, but this sort of behavior is not acceptable in a vendor.
Sorry about that. Please don't take it personally. While I can not go in to detail, there was a miscommunication at Gridseed with another vendor that caused an issue on the Blade announcements. I decided to play it safe and remove all promotions and post until the misunderstanding was resolved. Its resolved, and the Blade is now here! Good to know. I was very happy with the way you handled my order, but cryptocoin equipment vendors have bitten the hands that feed them enough times that we are all a bit paranoid. I would suggest erring on the side of transparency next time.

same-day shipping took about a week... hahah but I did get the miners and the usb cables are high quality ones
Mine shipped the same day and I got them in four days. Mine came with both the USB cables and the power pigtails. It was a bit worrying to see them deleting posts, but their explanation holds water https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=529093.msg6064365#msg6064365

I ordered two gridseeds from GAW on Monday and received them both on Friday. They came with both USB and power pigtail connectors. Setup was easy. I spliced the pigtails into my a spare PSU cable on my desktop, installed the zadig_2.1.0 and changed the drivers of both stm32 virtual com ports to WinUSB and was good to go with cgminer for gridseed http://cryptomining-blog.com/wp-content/files/cgminer-3-7-2-gridseed-windows-oc.zip. Both units run at 377.9khash and have been stable without hardware errors for 21 hours. Thanks guys!

muchdogecpumine, could you provide us with an update regarding new developments on the legal front?
I provided the law firm with a detailed explanation of our case, I am waiting to hear back from them. I'll get on them again tomorrow if I haven't heard back by then.

You're misreading the top post. I never said that Jvbi was phonetic's wallet, I just noted that some of the stolen Doge ended up there. It looks like this is address either belongs to Cryptsy or one of their customers.

Actually, assuming he stole 3bil DOGE, it's worth $4807763, or $4.8 MILLION dollars. Which means I lost $630 worth of DOGE and puts the bounty at $15k.
Anybody who thinks that phonetic stole 3 billion doge hasn't been reading carefully enough. The amount we can prove he stole is ~191,000,000 doge. That is the amount of generated doge paid to the scryptpools generation address after payouts stopped. It may turn out that he stole more by skimming or by not reporting blocks beforehand, but that has not been proven. It is unlikely, nigh on impossible, that he stole 3 billion doge. The address you are referring to belongs to cryptsy or one of their customers. The fact that some of the scryptpools doge ended up there does NOT mean that all 3 billion came from scryptpools. Making childish threats based on a poor understanding of the situation is not helping us recover the stolen doge or bring phonetic to justice.

Yeah thanks to those who stepped up! I actually am supposed to be talking with the lawyer sometime today.
I have a few calls and emails in to a New York firm that specializes in small business class actions. I'll keep you posted. I also updated the investigations thread with a much more detailed inventory of the Doge he absconded with, for those who are interested: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=397762.0;all

My Black Hat guy told me that the Administrator of this forum has the registered information for Phonetic. Information like the IP address and Time when he signed up.
I contacted most of the bitcointalk moderators. None responded. I also emailed the administrative contact for the domain and asked them to forward my response to the forum administrators. No response. Those are the options available to a white hat.

honestly, i was a little irritated you asked me to show examples. im not sure why i felt that way. i think it was more frustration frothing. i went back to retrace my steps.
The good the bad and the ugly. I like it. Crypto is the new wild west after all I wasn't doubting you, I just wasn't able to find any transfers out with the 4 example addresses I tried. I was going to add "I don't doubt you, I just wasn't able to find one myself" to my request. Sorry if my post came across as condescending, that was not my intention. I appreciate the fact that you're one of the people willing to do time consuming blockchain exploring! I'm wondering if crypsty moved your money around because it was a much larger deposit than the ones that I checked from other people. If you don't mind me asking, which of the two did you sell off, the ~2 mil or the ~1.85 mil?

Agreed. I see no reason for any change of plans. In my opinion, what we need is a John Doe civil lawsuit. This law firm represented victims in a cryptocurrency class action before. Maybe they would be interested? http://www.gslawny.com/ They have the added advantage of being in the same state as Scryptpools' web host, Digital Ocean.

start with your known wallet address, then make a deposit, any amount, into your exchanges deposit address. now follow that on the blockchain. your coins will set there for a few minutes before being transferred out to a house wallet. whoops I asked a few people on my pool's IRC channel for the addresses they deposited their doge in with Cryptsy. I could see the transactions where they sent their doge to these addresses, but there were no transactions out. I assume that Cryptsy leaves them in the "personal" wallets until they sell them. I didn't see the expected move to a big exchange wallet. Do you have any examples of it working the way you describe? I'm not saying you're wrong, I just haven't been able to find any examples of that yet. I emailed Coinedup and Cryptsy. Coinedup responded immediately and said that the addresses didn't belong to any of their addresses. Cryptsy gave me a form letter response: Thank you for submitting your business inquiry, Our team will review your request and if deemed plausible we will get back to you. Please know that we receive a thousand requests daily and only those requests that appear to be workable will be replied to. They haven't responded to any subsequent inquiries. Maybe they are too busy. Maybe they know that the Scryptpools doge was dumped on their exchange but they don't want to deal with the controversy. I wouldn't exactly blame them, it's not their fault and there is very little they can do to remedy the situation.

Almost everyone here believes me to be a scammer.
There is a very good reason for that. While some were quick to shout "scam!", some thought that maybe you were having a legitimate problem and we should wait and see. I was one of the latter. As the days went by without any word for you, it looked more and more likely that you took the money and ran. I followed the money through the blockchain because nobody else was doing it. The transactions looked suspicious to me, but I'm not an expert. I brought what I found to a few people, including a reputable pool operator, who confirmed that it did not look right. If you expect anybody here to believe what you are saying now, you'll need to do the following for a start: 1.) Explain why nearly all of the Doge mined after payouts stops appears to have been sold off 2.) Explain why you were able to to move / sell the mined Doge for the last two weeks but not post here 3.) Provide a full list of the dogecoin addresses used by the pool and an explanation of the purpose of each 4.) Provide links to the accidental double payments on http://dogechain.info5.) Provide us with access to a repository containing the pool's server log files for at least the last three weeks You cannot expect anybody to believe that you are not a scammer if you won't tell us your side of the story.

Seeing as Phonetic started to respond in this thread again
He posted one message that explained very little. He should start by explaining why the doge mined after payouts stopped appears to have been immediately sold off. He should also explain why he was still transferring doge out of the pool wallet several times a day during the two weeks he didn't even log in here. If double payments are really what got him into trouble, he should be able to post dogechain.info links to prove that claim. Anything short of full disclosure at this point leads me to believe that he is just trying to buy time to cover his tracks.
