With reputable escrow from the forums. Let me know if you have some to sell (USA based).

Many thanks
2  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Siacoin with StrongU STU-U2, anyone? on: June 12, 2019, 11:53:56 AM
Thanks guys for the answers, i expanded my research and i found that miner work only on 2 coins ( SiaClassic and SpaceCash) which I am not interested.

I do not promote the site but it was the first one I found that sell this type of asic.

I will focus on another type of asic, don't know what right now but still doing my research.

Your best change is to buy it from here (selling hardware section) using forum escrow, or on ebay with trusted members and ebay protection (DONT EVER PAY WITH CRYPTO ON EBAY THAT IS 1100% a SCAM). You can find the Obelisk SC1 for 1.7k (which mines the SIA fork, so you could actually mine SIA, and the original fork, in case you want to mine SiaClassic and SpaceCash).

Good luck!
3  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Antminer z11 on: June 11, 2019, 07:22:18 PM
seems amazing that while the seller seems ticked that the deal is being reversed and buyer is being refunded - even to saying that they have shipped the item the day before but still never posted something which would simply validate the statement - a tracking number...

also funny that on the same day they are posting & complaining about another seller not getting back to them... oh and did so on the date they claim they had no internet...

i been pming about s9 over and over

Phil - this is a perfect example of why there are escrow services such as yourself.

Indeed, 100% agree with this post
4  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling Antminer z11 on: June 11, 2019, 03:14:04 PM
The item has shipped we were without internet all last night wtf? I guess ill just recall it and eat the shipping.........................................

prove it

wow funny  got to admit lots of good reasons it is funny as I just refunded a tester to you smoothyvo  in the amount of 7 bucks and I still hold the funds.

so if crypto832 is not lying he could send the gear just give us the tracking with yesterday's date that it was accepted and is in the system

here is the pm I just sent out,.

since i wrote it I can reveal it.

smoothyvo the buyer 's address for refunds is

3GvEb7kskGKGArwLLbiM6hvuNkt24zd8Mw

So 0.2850 was sent to

https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3

buyer was  paying 2400   my escrow was 1.5%

so 2400 + 35 my fee

2400/2436 = 0.98522

and .2850 x  0.98522 = 0.280788 refund

to your address of 3Gb3EjeiYv48pqDBZwtDwh3ug6mGDWdQc2 almost fucked up

I will send a test of 0.000788   then send .2800 once you let me know it worked

I have refund address as 3GvEb7kskGKGArwLLbiM6hvuNkt24zd8Mw to smoothyvo

I checked again and I have sent 0.000788

So since I still have enough funds  if crypto832 did ship and it was accepted yesterday just post the proof.
it is why I sent a tiny tester to smoothyvo  just incase your terrible bad luck had continued.

I would have thought that your husband may have taken a turn for the worse, thank god it was just a simple internet failure.

so since funds are still here https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3  please link that tracking I am sure smoothyvo still wants gear.

Mate (@philipma1957) you are legendary. Thank you for providing a sane voice and offering your services in this forum. I say this cause I've been trying to find a Z11 to buy and mostly all offers come from negative members (negative trust) or just people who wants to use "discord escrow".

So thanks. Hopefully this will get sorted (I was going to buy from crypto832....)
5  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTB Bitmain Z11 or Fusionsilicon X1 on: June 10, 2019, 05:06:35 PM
Hi. Just as the title says. Will use forum escrow from a reputable member. Thanks in advance.

BUMP still looking for a Z11, X1, X7 or A9. Will use escrow from trusted forums members. The offers I received were from member with negative trust and the "Warning: Trade with extreme caution!" so I wouldn't  want to risk it.

Many thanks!
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining Siacoin with StrongU STU-U2, anyone? on: June 07, 2019, 07:16:56 PM
Hi guys, is there anyone using StrongU STU-U2 for mining Siacoin?

I see that it's profitable to mine even with 0.1$/kw.

I want to buy 2 miners and want to now your experience with this miner.

You can't mine Siacoin with this, Siacoin forked and can be mined only by Obelisk miners like SC1.

You can use this, I suppose, for SiaPrime, Space Cash, etc

I can use an official bitcointalk escrow. No problem for me. Z11 is still available and ready to ship. Ask for any info

As stated in the PM let's use forum escrow and I'll buy it Smiley

12  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: WTS 2 Obelisk SC1 on: May 24, 2019, 08:10:53 PM
I have two Obelisk DCR1 batch 1 that just got upgraded with new SC1 boards into SC1s (run at 520-550gh/s each)at Lightspeed hosting. They do their own escrow so it’s very easy to confirm units and either keep them there or ship them to you.I want $2500 for both units

I'm very interested in these units. Both for $2,500. So, just to confirm, each unit is an upgraded DCR1 which now have SC1 boards and each run at 520-550gh/s (for around 1,100 GH/s total).

Can we use forum escrow? or just lightspeed escrow? how can I confirm the units do have the SC1s boards?

Many thanks mate

Sorry for hijacking, but also looking for an X1 (USA, in-hand) Tongue

Edit: Want to buy and X1, no I don't have one in hand.
14  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: Selling my mining farm on: May 19, 2019, 03:00:52 AM
I'm interested in the FEs and or the Vegas 64? What are the prices per item and the prices if bundled. Would use forum escrow.
I'll wait a little bit for the offers for the whole thing, and if I don't sell, will be selling separately. You can send the offer for FEs and Vega64 in DM meanwhile.

Cool, but you don't accept DM from newbies Tongue

You can change the settings so I could hit you up. Let me know if you decide to sell in bundles or by GPU.

16  Economy / Service Discussion / Trusted members for escrow on: May 17, 2019, 11:40:40 PM
Hi,

I was looking for a pinned message or something similar, but could not find it. I'm planing to buy a GPU from someone here (he seems to have a good reputation) but want to do it via escrow, for the safety of both parties. What trusted members from these same forums provide those services? (and are trusted enough for that).

sorry, newbie asking.

Many thanks!

Hi,

I'm using this for my vegas and FE. Coming from windows this is a blessing. 2.4 on FE (from 1.9 in windows). Kudos to the team!
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / 13 GPU rig. Lessons learned (the hard-way) on: August 07, 2018, 08:35:31 PM
Hello,

Been mining since nov 2017 with 3x 13 GPU rigs (39 GPU, mostly 1070, 1080 and 1080ti). I'm sharing my two cents for anyone interested:

a) Invest time in prep-work! what is the layout? which frames? how many PSUs? how many splitters? this was done, but I underestimated the prepwork. I ended up buying more PSUs with less wattage, were (in my case) fewer PSUs with more wattage would suit better the layout. The prep-work is extremely important and vastly underestimated, especially the layout, # of PSUs units, and # PCIe splitters (so everything fits nice and tidy).

b) if using windows, CPU and RAM DOES MATTER!!! try using afterburner in a 13 gpu with a celeron and 4gb of ram... it is a pain in the ass! switch to i3/i5 with 8gb and is a cool breeze. For example, when using celerons I was getting a delay in everything. Move a slider, 3 second delay, decrease voltage, 8 second delay. For mining this is not a problem, but for tweaking, it is. Imagine spending 4 hours tweaking your rig when you could have done so in 20 minutes (because of delays).  I have not use any other OS, so I'm sure this is a windows thing only.

c) tweaking =  free GPUs (in a sense): with 39GPUs a small increase in efficiency goes a long way. You teak a GPU for 2% gain and thats ok, tweak 39 with 2%-5% increase in each and you will find yourself with "1 or 2 free 1080ti gained by tweaking".

d) heat is an issue: oh yeah it is, specially if you live in the Caribbean... fortunately I found a well ventilated place where temps are usually at 27c (this is cold for my country). Good ventilation can reduce the temps by a long, long way.

e) 220/230V is mandatory: see point c, is the same concept. Higher efficiency in one PSU is nice, Higher efficiency in 10 PSUs is nicer .

f) chasing the dragon is bad idea: I spent months mining new coins trying to chase the next pump. Bad idea, the only good coin I mined that mooned was GIN coin and I sold it 10x cheaper than its ATH. It would have been better for me to just mine ETH with the pill or any other oldschool/popular coin (as equihash before the ASICs).

g) stability vs profitability (another chasing the dragon): I've also spent many a night tweaking my rigs just to increase a small  percentage, this turned fine until I went to work and my rigs were frozen, which means wait till the night to reset them, lower the OC and bring stability. In the long run, stability will always win (I can't use smart plugs or "resetters" for this as I have frequent blackouts in my country and smart plugs or "resetters" DOES NOT turn back on after a blackout, they need a manual input), if you know a solution for this, please let me know.

Anyway, just wanted to share this. I have a lot of more learned lessons, but for now this will suffice as I got to get back at work! hopefully it will be useful for new miners.

Cheers,

Hi, just to be sure, this is the same as minermonitoring.com? I was using the service before but wanted to expand and pay for my rigs, just that the new website I see is minermonitoring.com (insted of ethmonitoring), just to be safe.  Smiley

Hey,

Yes same, name change moving forward just. Nothing else.

Many thanks. The new look/design is superb! congrats!
