why the pool show    Methuselah (lyra2v2) when have to be seci

You mean in found blocks? That would be due to that coin having all the hash power on the pool currently (no-one was mining Seci), if anyone had been mining this coin and blocks had been found they would have been showing in the list as well.

Anyway, at the moment it isn't known if this coin is working properly with YiiMP pools and I don't have the has rate on the pool to check so have disabled it for now.

Removed for now until verify this coin works with YiiMP pools

Coin has been removed from the pool as it looks like this is no longer going anywhere (the domain shows some other token being launched in june).

If I'm wrong feel free to send me a personal message and I'll re-activate it

Removed pool information as POW phase has ended.

Thank you to all who mined on the pool and hope to see you again on another coin!

69  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / How to use/accept altcoins on a website? on: April 27, 2018, 10:56:06 AM
Apart from the wallet applications of the coins themselves I have been searching around for ways to actually use altcoins (non-eth based), and have been surprised by how little I have found.

Would be great if anyone could share ways to actually use them on website.

For starters wanted to add the ability to accept payment for services or goods via a shopping cart on my website, but unless use a 3rd party payment processor with very limited coin support or build the system yourself from scratch there is basically nothing out there that I found apart from BTCPay which itself has limited coin support.

After that I was basically looking for any project I could deploy on a web site that used coins. Came across a couple of gambling programs but either old/not maintained or didn't deploy easily/lacked documentation.

Call me picky but while tried to run them, its not the kind of service I would have promoted anyway, I just wanted to see something using an altcoin.

While I might be able to put together something to accept coins my programming skills are not the greatest, the system would probably have security issues and I would be ashamed to release the code publicly.

If there is stuff out there please let me know, I would love to be blasted with 'Your search skills are terrible, there is all this stuff like xyz', it would be great to hear ways to actually use altcoins!

I'm a bit confused by your description of:

There are a lot of altcoins, but there are not many coins available.

Do you mean that the actual number of coins is low? From what I see of this coin 38.58 coins/block halving every month your not going to have all that many coins yourself, apart from the ones with a very short mining period (like in days/weeks) many coins mint significantly more than what this would for a longer or indefinite period.

All pools look to be on the same chain to me.

Thanks for your update.

I guess people doesn't read... They see new scrypt coin and go mine.

I am solo mining now, maybe will back to your pool later.
Your welcome and you are right, the real winners would have been the people solo-mining and finding their own blocks during that time instead of getting a sub-percentage of the accepted hash power at a pool.
73  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU-mining] ★★ LJCOIN ★★ [LIVEJOURNAL] on: April 25, 2018, 03:33:53 AM
Well, I wasn't able to 'fix' the issue with the pool (but will be looking into that longer term as no point having miners with difficulties higher than a coins difficulty), there was basically too much hash power being provided vs the difficulty of the coin. I  increased the rate at which the pool finds blocks dramatically so the difficulty will increases the payouts will become 'Normal'.

My apologies to everyone negatively impacted by this, but the issue is really with the difficulty being so low.

EDIT:

I feel that people should get an explanation as to what 'occured'.

With difficulty being too low the pool was not accepting all the hash power being given to it, a fair % of the hash power was being 'thrown away', not doing so would have overloaded the pool with all the work being submitted miners, the pool and the coin daemon would not have been able to handle the load either without being on a supercomputer or something.
Miners were all being paid for the % of work overall that was not being 'thrown away', so in example above where user got 0.3 coins after finding 20 blocks (which should have been around 1000 coins) that is due to the pool overall was only accepting 0.03% of work. (The TTF of the coin at that point was less than 1 second (pool was showing 0 with rounding), so the pool would have had to have been processing many blocks per second in order to process all the hash rate)

Now that the difficulty is reaching a 'sane' level compared to the hash power being provided to the coin the pool is accepting more valid work and running normally.
74  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CPU-mining] ★★ LJCOIN ★★ [LIVEJOURNAL] on: April 25, 2018, 01:56:50 AM
Basically the difficulty of the coin is not currently reflecting the actual amount of hashing power being thrown at it.

I'm trying to work out a solution to that, basically got some large MH/s miners on the pool (which is pointless atm), their difficulty is way higher than the coins difficulty and as such they should be submitting more than they actually do. When the difficulty rises it'll be fair, but at the low difficulty its warping the payouts.

I ideas on how to fix it, but its going to take me a bit of time.

Removed coin from pool, hasn't been block on the network in 10 days.

All files are still there so if someone really wants to mine or the network actually becomes active again feel free to message me and I'll reactivate.

Can confirm the block explorer is going to be launched tomorrow, was announced by the devs on discord, and apparently have some other 'exciting announcements' coming up.

Will to be interesting to see what they announce.

Just want to shout out a huge thank you to all the people who have used my pool (https://youcrazy.me), 2nd coin launch I have participated in with the pool and this one certainly went much smoother than the other one.

Great work devs and hope your coin keeps going strong well into the future. (Btw, love the name & logo of the coin, have tied it together nicely)
79  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][TZC] TrezarCoin Super-Secure-PoW/PoS on: April 12, 2018, 11:48:55 AM
Hi,

I've been mining against trezarcoin for a few days and have not found a block so I thought I'd put it into testnet mode and check that it was all working, however, I get an error when I try to run with the testnet flag:

$ trezarcoind -testnet
trezarcoind: main.cpp:3004: bool LoadBlockIndex(bool): Assertion `block.hashMerkleRoot == uint256("0x872a72de06678cd706521062eba11895314377ae1d4d1eb7eb83e864bbd497ef")' failed.

Any way of fixing this?

Can I make a node without vps?
You could, but you would need a static IP address (if you don't know you probably don't) and to forward the port on your router through to wallet application, the settings in the config file would work the same for both Linux and Windows.
