Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: [Question] XFX 6950 better for mining than a Sapphire 6950?

My experience with XFX is that they are rubbish. Well my 5870's are. Cant volt mod non reference designs where sapphire have trixx, there own overclocking program Easy winner. I might agree with you if I had any plans to do anything so complex. I'd probably break the thing. I hear 5 series is a rareity in the US though....
Yeah, I tried pretty hard to find 5850s for a reasonable price that wouldn't cancel out the benefits.

Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / [Question] XFX 6950 better for mining than a Sapphire 6950?

When asking for advice on a rig in other areas, I was told that if I was planning on running the video card 24/7 100%, like for bitcoin mining, I should definitely get an XFX 6950 as opposed to the Sapphire 6950 I was planning on getting, because it would have a lifetime warranty if I bust it mining, and is also more sturdy overall. This seems like solid advice, but I got it from people who knew a lot about computer rigs, but not as much about bitcoin mining, just that it meant running the card constantly on full. Does anyone here know if XFX has lower/higher Mhash/s, or if it just wouldn't matter as long as they had the same specs? Sapphire 6950 will supposedly have about 360 Mhash/s. Thanks in advance.

He might be in over his head and embarrassed to show his face until he finishes them all, but he definitely has access to a computer. My payment.Just yesterday he appears to have moved my coin, and if we follow it around it ends up in one final transaction with other coins, presumably payments for the resin, just today at a master address (with ~100 coins) which I won't post here because I'm still fairly sure he's got good intentions. If you like, you can probably find it just by following the blockexplorer links, it's what I did. Posting this info here because it's just one bitcoin for me, but others might be more concerned.

Yeah, it is really weird.
Right now, my stance on this is that something weird has happened and he isn't intending to scam anyone, hopefully he'll return soon. Seems too unlikely that he would have made those bitcoins just to pretend he'd sell them, since he doesn't seem to have even sent more than one order yet (although others besides kgo might have ordered and not noticed these replies) and there was clearly more than one order in those pictures.
Hm.

I haven't taken part in TAABL, but to me it looked like the lottery could have been called "Going Down", or maybe the fees were going down. You could edit the title to be more alarmist, like "The Amazing Anonymous Bitcoin Lottery is SHUTTING DOWN, withdraw your funds!"
