can be for example something not legal and after maybe ending up having problem with authorities or something?
These are encrypted fragments of files. Neither you, nor anyone controlling your computer, knows what is stored. When uploaded, these fragments are still sent encrypted, and decryption keys are never available to „farmers” (people earning SJCX by submitting their disk space and connection bandwidth).
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin blockchain data torrent on: December 27, 2015, 05:36:06 PM
I've just set up a fresh full node using 0.11.2 Core client. Syncing the whole blockchain took 4 days. What is interesting, downloading blocks was not a bottleneck. My 20 Mbit/s connection was never fully utilized. What is slow, is population of the database and probably building base of UTXO. I admit that my setup is rather slow: Core2Duo @ 2.4 GHz and external 1 TB HDD (5400 rpm) on USB 2.0. With this setup HDD seems to be the major bottleneck.
3  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Blockchain-reaction | Up to 10,000x winnings | 100% Skill based on: August 08, 2014, 03:55:18 PM
Hoho, I can see I'm still the number one in the Top 25. Too bad hanging there for hours and waiting for a game was extremely boring, I've also found BTC daytrading much more profitable...
4  Local / Polski / Re: -->BitCurex.pl -- po atkach z przed ~miesiąca widzę zmiany na lepsze :) <-- on: April 11, 2014, 04:07:03 PM
5  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Blockchain-reaction | Up to 10,000x winnings | 100% Skill based on: April 08, 2014, 11:51:05 AM
Well, I've tried SatoshiGems and don't like it. Why? For one single reason. Unlike Blockchain-Reaction, SatoshiGems is not pure skill based, but has significant luck factor. In case of B-C current configuration on the playfield depends only on moves of players done so far. In case of SG, playfield configuration obviously depends (sometimes in a critical way) on order of randomly selected gems falling from the above. Then, saying it short, been there, was not impressed.
6  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Price Prediction Software Using Neural Networks on: March 28, 2014, 03:41:55 PM
I have noticed that 24 hour prediction and 5 day prediction are not coherent with each other. For example now 24 hour prediction prognoses $577.5 at 4:00 CET tomorrow. 5 days prediction shows $497 for the same hour. The difference is far more than advertised 2.6% of error...

Yep. Reading my posts here it is not difficult to guess, anyway it is official now ;-).
8  Local / Polski / Re: bitmarket.pl - WŁAMANIE - ostrzegam - wyprowadzono walute on: March 28, 2014, 11:23:02 AM

Napisz jeszcze o Bitcurexie :-).
9  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Blockchain-reaction.com | 100% Skill based | Win BTC | Multi-player on: March 28, 2014, 09:08:19 AM
How does this make any sense?
It seems to me that every CPU level keeps a separate track of your skill points. Anyway I've grabbed so many skill points against CPU, so I cannot win with it on any level anymore. Then I usually hang on for hours waiting on human players, but they are rare.
10  Local / Polski / Re: bitmarket.pl - WŁAMANIE - ostrzegam - wyprowadzono walute on: March 28, 2014, 07:17:50 AM

11  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How do you guys secure your bitcoins ? on: March 27, 2014, 06:50:54 PM
Well, no advanced techniques used:

1. I do not use Windows for running bitcoin-qt.
2. Wallet is encrypted with strong password.
3. The whole datadir is placed on a TrueCrypt volume mounted manually when needed.
4. A few backups of wallet.dat in different physical locations.

Sure, not a cyber Fort Knox, but IMHO enough considering I'm still below 1 BTC :-).

13  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] VisitBit Advertising w/ Geotargeting - From 0.000001 BTC per UNIQUE visit on: March 20, 2014, 08:01:35 AM
One of new advertisements makes problems. It redirects to adf.ly URL shortener, which jumps out of Visitbit frame with JavaScript. Then it goes to the shortened address, but Visitbit does not pay for the site, what is worse Visitbit keeps serving this advertisement again and again, so one cannot skip it. I would say such malicious advertisements should be rejected. Seems that adf.ly redirection is a kind of rotator and redirects to some scams like "enter your phone number to download a file", which in fact subscribe to premium SMS services.
14  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] KRAKEN.COM - Exchange Now Open with USD, EUR, BTC, LTC, XRP, NMC, XDG on: March 14, 2014, 05:12:52 PM
I've just had a little adventure. I'm relatively new Kraken user and I've tried my first bitcoin withdrawal. Then I simply forgot that I have my bitcoins on a sell order. When I have tried to withdraw, I've got a bit frightening message "Withdrawals have been temporarily disabled for this asset. Please check back later." Of course I understand why I could not withdraw, but can you please make this message a bit more obvious like "You have no free BTC to withdraw"? I must admit I've panicked for a moment, after the Gox affair.

Of course when I realized the true reason, I simply cancelled the order, then withdrawn without any problem. As the sum was low, I've seen it in my wallet almost instantly, it also got 3 confirmations for now, so all is OK. Therefore I decided there is no point to submit a ticket, because there is no real problem, just some improvement suggestion from me.

16  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Blockchain-reaction.com | 100% Skill based | Win BTC | Multi-player on: March 08, 2014, 09:20:52 AM
Latest versions of the game are highly intolerant for longer ping times. Then, it often happens that my connection is routed via crappy "tinet.net" skeleton network, managed by some GTT. See what happens when I try to traceroute the thing:

10  ae6.fra61.ip4.tinet.net (141.136.103.213)  39 ms  55 ms  40 ms
11  xe-2-1-0.lon21.ip4.tinet.net (89.149.183.29)  3947 ms  4293 ms  3866 ms

Hop 16 is blockchain-reaction. This is an extreme example, usually this router delays by 1.0 to 1.5 second. I've tried to bypass this crappy tinet.net skeleton by using some HTTP proxies, but they sometimes introduce even higher delays.

From my observations it seems that even one outlier ping above 500 msec may cause the game to lock unrecoverrably. Of course in this case stakes are not returned. Then, playing higher stakes is just a roulette (with rather high house edge, if you ask me...).

It seems to me that the game code design was not done with high network delays in mind. Probably design phase tests were only conducted on a LAN. I've played different games online on different platforms and had not encounter similar problems.

I would like to watch a video where you show how to win with Medium CPU having +59 handicap against you Cheesy.
Yes, that would indeed be impressive. I've just updated the handicap curve so it should be more sensible now. Let me know how you get on?
OK, now I struggle against +49. I would have zero chances even with intermediate level human player, but as the Medium CPU does not wipe me out at the start, I can prevail.

I've just made a little video showing me winning the 4 CPU difficulty levels, hope it gives you some play tips!

Every pyramid scheme reaches a point where its organizer grabs the rest of money and vanishes.
20  Economy / Gambling / Re: [ANN] Blockchain-reaction.com | 100% Skill based | Win BTC | Multi-player on: March 01, 2014, 10:25:43 AM
This allows players of differing skill level to play each other in a fair game. Lower skilled players are awarded a number of auto-placed moves on the board before the game starts. These moves are always placed in the same locations on board, much like the handicap system in the old game Go
As a player having the highest skill level in the game I have to say that number of handicap moves needs to be tuned a bit. When playing with a player from Top 10, he got 43 moves of handicap. Considering the pattern of the handicap, I have 0% chances to win, when my opponent is doing just obvious moves (bumping up fields near my ones he always gets his fields ready to explode one move faster than me). Or maybe just the handicap pattern has to be modified? I suggest something less symetric.
