no investment is a sure thing. the risk in bitcoin is much less today than it was just a few years ago. it took great effort, knowledge, skill and foresight just to be mining bitcoin years ago. those that did, hold far more than 1btc now. and yet a lot of it was squandered, lost to exchange scams, development, learning and mining equipment pre-orders all in an effort to expand the bitcoin reach.
NO YOU ARE NOT THE NEW ELITE WITH 1 BTC. no you will not be rich. yes there is a "possibility" that btc will grow faster than the nasdaq but we are still in the development stage. 100 years from today your 1 btc may hold large fiat value but you will not be around.
there is still a large uncertainty with btc holdings. you may get 2x or 100x your money or you may lose it all if subversive technology like classic gain dominance or full on bans from finance industry come forward or "they" decide to change the original aspects of btc like max cap or fees.
in the long run there is no get rich quick. your $400 investment today will NOT be worth 10k anytime soon. btc is here to stay but the market will decide its value. when a new product hits the consumer market sometimes there is a very huge expense cost in educating the general public on the benefits of the product. bitcoin is not a company and does not invest in educating the consumer so unless any major financial collapse of major world governments bitcoin can only grow at a relatively steady pace.

chinese folks built a bunch of equipment and put it into service prior to going on new year vacation. during vacation they took orders for a shit load of gear. once they came back to work they unplugged the miners, packed them in boxes and shipped them to their customers. you will see all of the hash come back within a week when customers receive their miners and put them into service. you will also see a lot more hash from the newly assembled miners chinese turn on

looks like a large amount of mining hash slowly shut down in the days after the chinese new year ended. i am thinking that they are now shipping these units to customers and we shall see ALL of the prior hash rate AND MORE up and running on the network within a week. this is just the calm before the storm. 20%+ next jump is not outside the realm of whats possible.

Today is looking bad also, its only 75% of the day so far and we have achieved +31% so far. Doesn't look like it will stop at +20%, this will go on for the next few weeks before stabalizing.
Well this is the best jump of all the ones we had. It is a really flat jump. by this i mean every day is up and around 168-175 My guess is we do 20% and then 3-5% on the next one. doubtful.. seems i've been talking about deployed hardware on deaf ears.. said this diff would be highest increase and next 3 or so diffs at the minimum will all be in the 20% range, if not higher.. who knows. |

im hoping to get there soon. fingers crossed. a while back it was discussed to have a section for certain level users, like apparently the mods have.
me personally, i know i wanted as a feature, to be able to discriminate against certain accounts from being able to reply to posts. whether it be based on rank, trust, blacklist, or the presence of a sig.
someone stated then, that this sort of option, may be a feature in the long awaited new forum software. only time will tell.
