Is there a chance to check how many coins are really circulating, or how many coins from the adresses holding a certain number were not moved for a long time? Maybe there are only a few coins traded by a few traders among themselves - up and down all the time.

IMO, they will just dump the coin if you give it to them. If they see any value in the PMC they can buy it.
I have to agree with this .... No many people out there seem to believe in pmc. Or better not on long-term. It's a coin like other with pump and dump and not a long term one. Because of this the people when receive some the first thing is dump and good bye... |

This is idea is very cool.
Could be possible to pay the holders every week with the yin if they hold yang or yang if they hold yin.
Imo is difficult to keep count of every address and the relative amount, i think that is better to make a doc file with all the coins out for example on google drive so anyone can check.

I don't think we can put to many conditions on the giveaway as far as people having certain activity since the point is to draw new people into the community that means people on other coins and gamers, people who play Facebook games or twitter heads. I'm thinking more people from outside of crypto then in.
I'm agree that we need more people outside the cryptoworld but it's important at the same time not to give coins to dumpers. Look at Yin/Yang coin, is a cool idea and the people earn more coins if they do some simple tasks in a week. This week they have not to dump their coins and the value now is 0.00016. Not bad. |

I have downloaded a wallet as I don't have any way to solo mine unless at very very slow speeds. its an interesting concept and one I would like to join. I have no intention of dumping the coins as I get very few as it is and would be looking to keep them for long term.

I have only be on the site a short time but have been trying to keep things positive in other posts when others have been bashing due to a poor start in goldbars, hopefully now this is being re-launched with some of the community helping rather than slagging off the dev which is good to see and hopefully the re-launched and re-named coin should be a more of a community effort now with a few tweaks and suggestions from others.
I also help with a new coin called Scotcoin. This is similar to this but has mostly been pre-mined with the aim of fair and transparent distribution to the people of Scotland and only a small amount of coins left for mining so I get the concept of this.

By now PMC community is thinking of make a 2nd giveaway after initial distribution to have more new active members in. If you want you can try to post a PMC address and see if someone would give you some spare PMC. Ah, the mining is possible but only solo. |

We could make in this way to avoid dumpers. Give the coins only to users that are active in pmc thread or for pmc in general.
Example: we start giveaway 1st April and give xx coins to each of this new users.
After a month we'll give to these users other pmc based on their efforts for pmc or because they haven't dumped his/her coins (necessary a jpeg as proof)
A little idea. Now you send a little amount (ex. 5 PMC) to a user. If he keeps PMC on his andress for a certain period (ex. one month) you'll send another 5 PMC (or more) to him.
Or something like that.
I think it's a good idea to prevent istant-dumping.

For me is better to give coins with some conditions
1) not dump them (if new members come with a proof that have not dumped their coins after 1 month will receive the double)
2) be active on this thread or for pmc community
3) be at least bitcointalk users with 30+ activity

Also Yes - I'm totally down for another community funded giveaway. We do need to work out some way to prevent double-dipping though.
Double dipping is difficult to prevent. We need to reach people not reached before or people useful to pmc community. If someone can offer his help then we would give him some coin. I am a large bagholder. Quite large actually. If I can be convinced it will be a good idea to start a new giveaway I will pledge 1000 PMC to a giveaway fund. The dev can hold onto all the funds but I would like to direct the giveaway so as to make sure that these funds are distributed in a fair manner. If we can all agree that it would be a good idea I will start an excel doc where we can all sign up and pledge whatever amount. Please let me know your thoughts as to why it would be a good idea to give small amounts of PMC out to the community. Specifically why these people won't just turn around and sell the PMC for BTC. Assume that these people are new PMC holders, not original stake owners and there will be no "double-dipping". Yup, start an excel doc on google drive so anyone can look and add his/her username, amount or possible suggestions.
