PrometheusX,

Have been staking well for months and suddenly, the Windows wallet hung again at block 404346 (C-CEX is now at 406182) so it's 28 hours behind. Have 14 connections so that shouldn't be an issue.

Is there a place to get current Windows blockchain files? Are you aware of any forks? Also noticed the wallet link in the OP is broken.

tech999,

Absolutely--willing to try anything. Not much good being stuck for weeks and months.

Add this to your conf file until u have full syncd
connect=85.214.95.177:5520

The reason is that there are atm some chain problems and we should take the most important node as the main node ...
the connect is to my server and im full syncd with the ccex node
on my home server it works very well but atm is no chain movement because on my 8 MNs i have 8 diferent blocks, it goes from -3000 to +3000 blocks from the ccex one, but all full syncd.

Have attempted full syncs from scratch on both Windows v2.1.2 and v2.1.5 and both stopped at 265476. Any good ideas how to get past that block?

Thanks PrometheusX, I'll add that node and see if that helps.

I've been having the same Windows wallet problems for weeks. Will simply not sync even though there are 4-5 connections.

Attempted to sync from scratch with v2.1.2.0 with a new default wallet and I couldn't get past block 265476. Testing v2.1.5.0 now to see if it syncs completely.  It's been moving well but I noticed the Masternodes tab is not currently showing anything.

The wallet at C-CEX appears to be stuck (over 2 days and states "out of sync").

Have a lot invested and appreciate the dedication by CryptoVote and MCDev to BTX.

Is there a compiled version of the current wallet in something other than Windows?
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BTX] Bitcoin - The neXt generation /MASTERNODES ACHIEVED ! on: July 19, 2015, 09:06:39 PM
I updated the client to the latest version but now it doesn't see my coins in the wallet.dat?

edit: there was another swap at C-Cex? There was only supposed to be a release of a new client, why a second coin swap? Does this mean I just lost my 3,600,000 BTX? ...

Hi MaGNeT,

There wasn't a coin swap at the exchange again, it was simply switching over to the new wallet by July 15th at the time specified.  Most of us just shut down the old wallet, downloaded the new one, and started it up.  It picked up where the old one left off without any further action.

The inflation was too high to be sustainable and staking was reduced about 60%.  Lucky blocks were reduced by 80%.  The master nodes are also increasing coin supply.  Assume you had to be running the new wallet by that date/time.

For others who may know; are coins that are not brought over to a new fork still "counted" in regards to coin supply?

There was supposed to be a posting of the wallet/coin changes today.  Obviously, the lucky block staking rate dropped dramatically as the one I was awarded after the wallet update was 80% lower than before.

Can we get an update please?

C-CEX just announced via email that they will de-list BTX on July 16th if volume doesn't increase (in 6 days).

Don't really care if we can get the coin listed on Bittrex, Cryptsy, and others but need some serious PR now.

It's interesting it's listed in the email I just received but the web site doesn't list it with the others pending.

what's the ideal block size to get good stake,
suppose start with 20k coins?
all in big block or split into small , any idea

The stake rate is the same regardless of whether you have them in one address or multiple addresses.  Two addresses with 10K would earn the same as one address of 20K so I would keep them in one address for simplicity.

If you want a chance to win a lucky block, you need to have over 50,000 in one address for a 5K lucky stake, 100,000 in one address for a 15K lucky stake, or 300,000 in one address for a 60,000 lucky stake.  Believe the current lucky block stake rate is 5% (you have a 5% chance of getting one each time that address stakes).

From the topic (page one) regarding lucky stakes:

If you have more than 50 000 coins you have a chance to win 5000 coins.
If you have more than 100 000 coins you have a chance to win 15 000 coins.
If you have more than 300 000 coins you have a chance to win 60 000 coins.

What's the problem with "could not allocate vin for collateral address"?
I get it when I try to start a masternode, 250k were send to wallet 0, 15 confirmation passed already, all set in conf.

Got the same few weeks ago with another's coin wallet but don't remember how I had solved the problem.

You'll get that if your wallet is locked and you are trying to use the buttons to start.  Unlock it and try again.

Shouldn't BTX be traded on Cryptsy, BitTrex or Poloniex???
Has the Team ever tried to get it traded on these popular exchanges? I mean, if BTXwas traded on these exchnages wouldn't it be good for the coin?

Yes; and that is what is really needed next. There just isn't enough exposure and volume on one small exchange.

Can someone do me a favor and try using the faucet at

http://faucet.btx.rocks/

And let me know if you are able to get an award.

I modified it for the new wallet / chain and need someone to test it.

Instant Payouts are set to 1 - 5 BTX
4 hour wait time for address/ip pair

Thanks
MCDev

Just tried it and it worked fine.  1.5 BTX awarded.

Dev(s)

I'm running Windows 8.1 Pro (64-bit) and when I close/exit from the wallet, it appears to close but keeps running.  It throws it from apps into background processes in task manager.

It will not restart because it knows it's running and cannot get a lock on the files.  You can pull it up in task manager and kill it from there and then restart.  Attempted compatibility mode but it didn't seem to help.

Any recommendations?  Have you tried it on 64-bit and/or Windows 8.1?  Didn't have any issues at all with the previous wallet on the same OS.

Patience!

Everyone should stop staking and send everything to C-CEX so they can be swapped over to the new wallet on Monday.  If your wallet states it's "catching up" but the last block it has matches the block explorer, it's fine and there is nothing you need to do.  Staking wallets reward based on time so it doesn't matter if blocks are found quickly, when they are, you still get your full reward that has been building up over that time frame.

When the next block is found, everything should catch up and confirm.  It could be 5 minutes or hours.  When I sent mine to C-CEX, they sat there unconfirmed for several hours until the next block was found.  We have to assume C-CEX is staking all of our coins so the blocks should continue to be found and confirmed even though there are less wallets staking.  The dev should be able to confirm that.

If your wallet is on the latest block, you are fully synced regardless of what the little graphic and text tells you.  As long as you have connections and are on the last block, you are fine and just need to be patient.  You'll see the wallet flip the graphic back to the green check mark (current) once the next block is found.

Same here; I don't even have a config file at all and it's been working fine for weeks.  There are times when it shows it hasn't seen a block for an hour, 2 hours, etc., but I just leave it alone and it syncs right up when another block is found.  If you check the debug window block number against the block explorer, they are usually the same or only one off.  I haven't dropped below 12 connections even with no conf file.

Just consider the "catching up" icon as waiting for the next block to be found.  Once it does, mine always flips back to a green check mark.  If it's a difficult block, they just take longer to solve.

Hey everyone!  It's time to get this party rockin!

I've contacted mydice.co about adding BTX to their accepted coins and Dice site:
http://mydice.co/index.php

I'll let you know what they need to make it happen.

Speaking of making it happen, the developer should have released an update by now considering one was promised weeks ago. It's time to step up or bow out.  Any other interest from other developers TheAltTrader?
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][BTX] Bitcoin- The neXt generation on: May 21, 2015, 12:58:49 AM
And for those are wondering, updated wallet won't be released tomorrow. For many reasons.  First, I'm graduating this week and I have not time to work on anything else. I have to learn loads of stuff.
Second, network and network infrastructure has stabilized, so need for new wallet is not that big. Third, wallet has to be in TOP NOTCH state, fast, no bugs, you know. Therefore, rushing release is not a good idea.
I think hotheadness of TheAltTrader is only hurting situation.

Keep it cool and have a BTX week Smiley

I think everyone here was holding off on promotions pending your expected release--since it was "coming soon."  We obviously wanted to have a solid wallet and also knew there were changes planned (like the 5% rewards and master nodes) that could be communicated.  We would also love to get BTX on one or more additional exchanges to increase exposure and stabilize the price.

Most of us have lives outside of Crypto (at least I hope we do) so we understand competing priorities.  As TheAltTrader stated, the key is communication so we can move forward and plan.  Congratulations on your graduation and just let us know when schedules change and "it's all good."   Cool

Well just when I thought the lucky staking was a dead loss look what I struck!!

OMG--that is awesome.  Been staking since the beginning with a lot of 50K+ blocks and have yet to hit a single lucky block.

Congratulations!   Grin
